No, they'll need to be completed before the time skip. Once we skip ahead, everything moves ahead. Luckily though you have about 6 weeks to prepare for that!

You can't start RPing post-skip events until the time skip happens. You need to wait until May 4th since that's when this part of the story begins.

1. Revamped Battle System - Staff are hard at work to develop a new battle system that gets rid of the boring grid square system we've had before. We're going to revamp the system to focus more on story and each battle will have impacts in the plot vs. just another colored squared on the map. This will no longer be a battle for more territory. We hope to roll out a system that makes battles more meaningful and allows each player involved to really feel like they are a part of something bigger.

Flashbacks ahoy! I wouldn't see why not, I don't imagine the staff would punish you for doing things like that so long as all participants know and agree and it's clearly stated.

They should be kept to a minimum. If it feels like you're RPing too much in flashbacks rather than the "present" then we might have to ask you to stop. You also can't use flashbacks to gain any sort of advantage in the present.

It's my understanding that flashbacks are typically used to fill out or bridge the gap between story arcs or to provide more detailed information on a past experience of a character. So if say you have a character that got put in jail during the timeskip but managed to break out within the same period of time, then you could use that piece of backstory and combine it with another character's backstory so that you developed a past friendship during the breakout, rather than having to RP their meeting in the present. Flashbacks should be used, at least in my opinion, primarily to give or add depth to a character or their history.​

I've done one or two flashback threads over the entire course of this TL and all my characters so they should definitly be kept to a minimum and should probably be solely for story building purposes, filling in gaps, or explaining "how we got to now". Keep them as ASK threads too to prevent from any warped timeline. You don't have Dr Strange's Eye of Agamotto after all ;-)
