Time Skip: Coming May 4th, 2017

After deliberation among staff, we decided that May 4th, Star Wars Day, would be the appropriate date to launch the timeskip that will shift the timeline forward 5 years into the future. The staff has been hard at work to bring a lot of new things into the skip other than just the main faction changes. In addition to the Mandalorian Dominion becoming a main faction, the staff will also address the following:

1. Revamped Battle System - Staff are hard at work to develop a new battle system that gets rid of the boring grid square system we've had before. We're going to revamp the system to focus more on story and each battle will have impacts in the plot vs. just another colored squared on the map. This will no longer be a battle for more territory. We hope to roll out a system that makes battles more meaningful and allows each player involved to really feel like they are a part of something bigger.

2. 5 Years Timeline Story - We will be working with Faction Leaders to provide a synopsis of what happens in the 5 years to come and where each faction will start at the end of it. This will require input from various parties and it'll be a combination of what has happened thus far and where the factions would continue on their trajectories.

With these big overhauls, we will have multiple internal staff peer reviews to ensure we bring the best experience for the players. As a result, we felt it appropriate to set a date later than sooner. This allows us time to not only draft up a robust battle system and story, but it gives us time to get the feedback and reviews we need.

We're extremely excited to work together to roll out the timeskip and have full confidence that you will absolutely love it!

However, I do have one question: when you say "where each faction will start at the end of it", does this include indie factions?

Indie factions can account for 5 years forward on their own, but for any asset/expansion growths, they'd simply follow the standard approval process. (Ie. like expansions that come with grid squares today)
