time for shopping and the beginning of idioticy [ask]

So as much fun as it was, running around Naboo chasing after the Colo claw fish or even fighting in a space station the idiot known as Jaz realised something really important...armour was everything!...like a symbol of status or just that fact it might keep his ability to if he ever wanted to in the future to have some fun with some of the ladies he had noticed on his travels intact, he needed armor.

And so it was that the skirt wearing man was walking down the street looking at the different vendors who were selling weapons of various types, general purpose items like translators, communicators ect..but he was looking for one particular type of item

"Now where's a armour vendor..I'm sure their around here somewhere"Jaz muttered as he turned to his left walking past a twi'lek trying to sell some starship stuff

Walking through the market tier of Nar Shaddaa was not too dissimilar to the other lower levels. All types of scum and villainy were about, but instead of mugging you or chastising you, they were trying to sell you shit. And most of the time it was shit no one ever needed. Who didnt have a comlink? Who didnt have a light blaster pistol on this planet? Who the hell wanted a replica Sarlaac pit?

Anyway, Icarus was in search of more protection for himself, some armor that he could wear outside of the arena. And while he could of course have asked his master, he wanted to see if he could find something suitable on his own first. Unsure of where a proper armor vendor was, he knew one had to be around here somewhere. The massive hulking figure kept a hood over his head and body, sure that many would recognize him as the champion who fights in the sands on the upper levels. Hidden away was a blaster, his sword too obvious to bring with him.

Walking passed some vendors, the Kushari pushed an annoying Twi'lek out of his way. His own rudeness justified by the unrelenting persistence that the man had trying to sell him space attire. When Icarus had enough, the Twi'lek was soon found on his ass.

Pushing passed some of the spectators, little did the gladiator know that one of them was another Cartel Prospect.

As he walked further down the street and Jaz was confronted..or rather he was pushed out of the way by a Kushari, causing Jaz to stumble to the side for a few paces before Jaz recovered and turned to look at the figure who was walking the opposite direction and without even thinking the idiot did something stupid

"Hey watch where you're going you idiot..No need to push me out of the way"Jaz said glaring at the figure, but had he known who he was talking to, maybe just maybe he might have did things differently, after all this person was a gladiator, and what was Jaz, a ex military guy with nothing noticeable about him...ok maybe except for his weird attire

Jaz carried on looking at the man ignoring the fact the people around him were getting out of the way as they didn't want to get involved with the whole incident

The Kushari was surprised the man he had pushed was so bold. As the people around them swerved away, Icarus stopped and turned to face the man. Unveiling himself y removing his hood, he heard some of the passerby's gasp in awe at the sight of the famous gladiator. Despite their amazement and awe, they would not get near the Kushari, for it was clear that he was angry and it was directed at the man who had called him an idiot.

Furrowing his brow, Icarus made no attempt to come off as menacing, though he naturally did. Walking up to the man, he didnt know, or care, if he was recognized. He just wanted to see who had the balls to call him out like that.

"I hope you are not talking to me!"

Icarus was not sure what he would do, or what type of reaction he was hoping to get out of the man. He did not even know he was affiliated with the Cartel. Though all would reveal itself soon enough, and Icarus would truly see how braze this man really is now that he is face to face with the monster of the arena.

"I hope you are not talking to me!" This caused Jaz to frown at the Kushari and as he moved closer to Jaz, surprisingly the skirt wearing man didn't flinch all he did was shift his feet slightly his posture becoming more defensive and without thinking his right hand was hovering over his DH-17 blaster pistol just incase he had to unholster and use it quickly, well that was how the whole event turned out, preferably it wasn't going to turn out violent

"Yes I was"Jaz replied confirming that it was he who called out to the Kushari, as he glared at the Kushari Jaz himself was making a mental list of what weapons he had on hand, which were few, one shoddy viroblade that looked like it would simple break at the first stab and lastly he had his blaster pistol and that was it, of course there was another problem Jaz had no idea that the Kushari infront of him was a member of the cartel just like Jaz himself who had no markings or tattoo indication his membership to the cartel.

"..."Jaz just stayed in his posture waiting for what was going to happen next, hoping that if a fight broke out his red tinted breastplate armour would protect him long enough unless something was able to defuse the potential fight

The gladiator moved aggressively and stood within inches of the man who called him out. He did give him points for his braveness, and one motto that he lived by popped into his head, causing him not to act too rash: "Fortune favors the brave."

And it may have this day. Icarus wasnt looking for a fight, ironically enough, but he was not about to let someone make him look like a fool, whether there were people around or not. Which there was. A small crowd had formed, some people watching on as others just maneuvered their way through trying to get by.

Icarus grabbed the mans small chest plate with one hand, and grabbed the mans wrist with the other. Icarus had seen him go for his blaster, which would be nearly impossible to take out now. The Kushari's grip was tough and gave the thought of him easily breaking whatever he had in his clutches. Icarus towered nearly two feet above the man, and lifted him up merely by his small armor and wrist.

"You got some balls. Do you have any idea who the frack I am?"

Well that would have been a easy answer for Jaz..had he been to a arena and watched the Kushari fight but as things were Jaz didn't do that so he really did have no idea who this person was, but would his answer doom him now...or doom much later down the road as it was clear that Jaz was outmatched in height and that fact Jaz now couldn't pull a weapon out with his right hand due to the fact the Kushari holding onto his arm.

Well he might as well go with honesty it was pointless lying..lying didn't really suit Jaz anyway so looking at the Kushari the red hair smiled slightly and then spoke with no hesitation or bravado

"No I don't have any idea who you are, now if you're going to hit me because of my answer I would rather have my feet on the ground when you hit me if not then let me go and we'll talk without any need for raised voices and the need for violence"Jaz replied still looking at the man blinking a few times but never letting his eyes wonder away from him,ignoring the small crowd forming

The gladiator's brow released its tension and his lips began to form a smile. Whether it was because of his lack of knowledge, or his brute honesty, Icarus could not hit the man. Dropping him to his feet, the gladiator brushed off Jaz's shoulders. His demeanor coming to a complete change from violent to almost apologetic, although he would never apologize.

"Well I cant blame you for not knowing who I am, as surprising as that may seem. Have you not been to Wasteland Arena?"

Icarus would be shocked if the man had never heard of it. Being the largest and grandest arena on Nal Hutta and within Hutt territory, there wasnt many people who have at least heard of it, or seen bouts on the holotube. Icarus wasnt much of a fan of watching such forms of enterainment through a video screen, though he supposed many did not have the time or the credits to hop down to the planet and check it out in first person.

Well it seemed like his answer was good enough that he won't get punched in the face as the Kushari dropped Jaz onto his feet and brushed off his shoulders although Jaz could see the kushari smile and noticed the man's demeanour had changed before he spoke at Jaz

"Well I cant blame you for not knowing who I am, as surprising as that may seem. Have you not been to Wasteland Arena?" well being that he was in hutt space that should really obvious to Jaz that it was probably one of the biggest and splendid arena in Hutt space

I've heard of it..but sadly no I haven't been to the wasteland arena ever, I guess I've focused too much on cartel business to watch a bout on the holonet.."Jaz started to say before he realised a important question he had to ask

"I'm sorry but what is your name? Mine is Jaz Corban ensign,former Galactic Alliance military"Jaz said as he instinctively saluted to the Kushari completely unaware that the person he had just saluted to was also a member of the cartel

Former GA military. This made Icarus somewhat wary. How did he escape the obliteration? Could he have been a deserter? Time would tell, but for now, he did not fully trust the man. And he still was unaware that he was in the Cartel as a Prospect. The crowd that formed seemed to have lost interest and began to disperse.

"The name is Icarus, champion of Borga the Hutt. Surely you have heard of him. The Cartel runs things around these parts. Hopefully you knew that as well."

Icarus was not afraid to show his sarcasm, even if it made him look like a jerk. The arena could be forgiven, but this man was truly lost if he did not know about the Hutt Cartel and its stake on NAr Shaddaa and Nal Hutta. The Kushari felt pleased bringing up his masters name. For Borga was even more famous...or infamous, than he was.

So now Jaz knew the name of the Kushari infront of him which was good as in combat it would be stupid to try and say "Hey you" since it might get lost in the madness that was combat however the next thing Icarus said was sarcastic as kriff

"The name is Icarus, champion of Borga the Hutt. Surely you have heard of him. The Cartel runs things around these parts. Hopefully you knew that as well." it was almost like he was trying to make Jaz slip up...however he had spend a good number of days in hutt space that at least that name had been mentioned so looking at Icarus Jaz rubbed his right hand against his ponytail as he spoke

"Of course I heard of Borga the hutt I've spend a lot of time here to learn important names like that as I walked the streets and sat in cantinas, and yes I knew that the cartel ran things here after all I'm a cartel prospect it would be rather foolish not to have known that as that would have been disrespectful to everybody in the cartel"Jaz before looking at the vendor stall that was used by the twi'lek that Icarus had pushed away and saw something that might be useful

Armour glorious armor, and something that would look good on Jaz, white stormtrooper armour, would be slightly useless having the armour white but hey he could always spray it a different colour
