Thur was a Trandoshan scientist stationed on the planet Thila in the Outer Rim. He oversaw a factory located in the mountains near a town. On the surface, the factory was a typical manufacturing plant under corporate sponsor.
However, not only did its productions have a negative impact on the environment but also its satellite settlement. Even more nefarious, the factory served as Thur's personal laboratory where he conducted unethical experimentations on a number of abducted townsfolk, while many of them were still alive.
Thur's goal was to create the perfect prey for predators to hunt, namely Trandoshans, by enhancing the strength, speed, endurance and overall survival aspects of any given being.
While his procedures varied, as did his equipment, Thur's most sophisticated machine was a capsule that could fit a single person inside. It would fill up with a special kind of liquid and begin to 'transform' the subject, though the actual process and results are undocumented.
To achieve his objective, he formed a partnership with the criminal syndicate The Daggers. The two parties exchanged information and resources. Eventually, to aid his experiments, The Daggers offered to deliver another scientist with similar interests, Dr. Maff Sawin.
Both scientists had been experimenting with AMS subjects, among other entities. However, unbeknownst to Thur, Maff was currently partnered up with the Sith duo Kayden Skyler and Cheriss Ktrame.
At some point, Jedi Padawans Leh'Min'Ayd and Quin Leonkri were dispatched to Thila to investigate the town that had gone silent. They found out that the townsfolk were evacuated due to a drought. In truth, however, Thur Rashnik had sped up his operations and abducted the entire inhabitants for his experimentation programs.
When the Jedi discover what is really going on, they confront the scientist in his laboratory floor beneath the factory. They are interrupted by the arrival of the Sith, with Kayden Skyler personally executing Thur Rashnik, leading to a confrontation between the Jedi and the Sith and a deeper plot that unfolds.

Intelligent enough to be a scientist, if with a hint of madness, and an extremist, Thur Rashnik was singularly focused on his desire to create a 'super being' for the purpose of Trandoshans to hunt.
In turn, it appears that this objective ultimately factored into a broader goal of establishing the first Trandoshan galactic empire.
A notably unscrupulous being when it comes to science, Thur experimented on live subjects from young to old, of any sex and species, given the majority of his victims came from the town located near his factory on Thila.

Thur Rashnik had a partnership with The Daggers, both parties combining their efforts and resources. The motivation for The Daggers is not currently known. Whatever the crime syndicate's involvement in supporting Thur with his experiments, it goes beyond credits.

Jedi Padawans Leh'Min'Ayd and Quin Leonkri were on a mission to investigate the situation with the factory and town on Thila. They discovered Thur Rashnik's experiments and confronted the Trandoshan scientist before he was killed.

On Endor, Sith Champions Kayden Skyler and Cheriss Ktrame, along with Dr. Maff Sawin, discovered the relationship between Thur Rashnik and The Daggers. The Sith journey to Thila to take the scientist's research for their own purposes.
