Location: Anzat, Unknown Pirate Camp

This was all on her, Kalanda knew that. Yes, she had gotten herself captured. That in and of itself wasn't the worst part though, it was where she was. Anzat was feared for it's native inhabitants, strange alien creatures who could quite literally drink the life out of others, many of which were force sensitive. So here she was, chained up with some stun cuffs, as her pirate captors looked for who they were going to sell off when they went into town. Sh wasn't alone at least, as her and a half dozen people were locked into some sort of cargo hold, a single door with a window opened up, as it seemed the pirate were ready to get their next 'product'.

A Trandoshan pirate moved into the room, looked Kalanda over, before grabbing another person to the left of her, dragging the man out of the room as he begged and pleaded with his captors in a language she didn't understand. She had reserved to sitting on the floor, pondering what she was to do. The cuffs limited what she was capable of doing, and she didn't know where her lightsaber was. She could sense there were at least a two dozen, if not more pirates beyond the small cell she was being held at. The only thing that gave her any comfort, was feeling another force presence, though she couldn't tell where, only that it was there. This wasn't her day.

Reuben sat against a wall, scanning the room with his eyes for anything or anyone that might be of use. The first thing the pirates did was disarm him, when he was on the ground, one of them stood on his wrist which held the lightsaber and took it from him. A lightsaber would be devastating in the wrong hands, though it could be even more devastating in the right ones, the Jedi masters wouldn't be pleased if he let this one go.

Pirates aside, this was a dangerous place to be, the locals could drink the life out of people and if that person was force sensitive then they could strengthen the Anzat's connection to the force, they were becoming an increasingly isolated species because of it. But before he could get off the planet, the first priority was getting away from these pirates who were unscrupulous in how they got their credits.

There was the presence of the dark side of the force in the room which while not wholly comforting did provide a small amount of hope. In a desperate situation like this, two force sensitives adhering to either side of the force was more beneficial than one. Reuben looked around all the faces in the room before his eyes fell on Kalanda and he could sense a stream of negative emotions within her which when placed together with the fact the dark side was present in the room, didn't take long for Reuben to figure out that she was likely, although not certainly, the other force sensitive.

Reuben quietly moved along the floor, as not to draw attention to himself to avoid the pirates coming back in, and sat opposite Kalanda, his attire didn't state that he was a Jedi as he didn't wear the whole get up, only the tunic and trousers but the short braid behind his ear might've given someone an inkling as to what he was.

"Are you force sensitive?" He whispered to Kalanda. There was no harm in the question, if she wasn't then she wouldn't know that Reuben was but if she was then she would likely find out soon, if she hadn't already, so there was no point in trying to hide it.

Kalanda kept her gaze on the floor, trying to think of what to do. Perhaps if she hadn't put up such a fight during her capture, she wouldn't be restricted to these cuffs. Her attire made her stand out from the others, having her Sith robes and hood confiscated, she was left to her dark colored attire. Though, the negative emotions she was pouring out would be a clear indicator to the jedi in the room.

She could only think of what fate might befall her, being used as food by one of those Azanti creatures, having her life torn from her, unable to stop it. It made her angry. She fixated on the emotion, hoping it would give her enough strength to break through the cuffs, or to ignore the pain that swept through her body whenever she tried to use her powers. However, that failed to work, as the moment she began to move her wrists, her body was slammed with electrical shocks, breaking her concentration, and prompting a pain yelp from her.

She sighed, her mind now trying to settle on what she was to do, which was disrupted by a man sitting across from her, speaking in hushed tones. She only scowled as he asked her the question, with her yellow pupils set on studying him. Judging by his attire, he was either trying to dress up like a jedi, or had very poor tastes in fashion; or maybe both. "If I am, what is it to you?" She spoke, her tone rather rude in approach. "It hardly matters. Unless you can remove these cuffs, I'm of little help." She muttered, gesturing down to her bound hands. She had felt another force presence in the area though, and was concerned that whatever that presence was might cause them problems. She stared at him a bit longer, noting the braided hair, and her expression went from annoyed, to down right livid. Was there seriously a jedi in the room with her? This had to be some sort of sick joke.

Reuben didn't expect the young woman to be anything other than standoffish, after all they were natural enemies but in this situation he was willing to try and look past that because at least after all they had a common enemy and goal now, though he couldn't help but feel a pang of anger at the thought of the Sith who had destroyed his family and livelihood. How could this person be willing to risk so much? But that was besides the point, there was a task at hand and they would be stronger together, even if neither liked the prospect of working together, Reuben would do all that he could to convince her to cooperate.

Following her eyes as she looked him over, Reuben knew she was probably trying to calculate who or what he was and only expected more coldness as she came to realise he was a Jedi. "If you are then maybe we could help each other." He replied, less hushed since the pirates didn't seem to be concerned with their captives at that moment, though he didn't imagine that statement going down well.

He glanced down at her wrists, bound with binders, and then at his own, his right wrist cradled by his left arm. "I guess they didn't see me as much of a threat after breaking my wrist and taking my lightsaber." He said. If she hadn't already guessed what he was by now then he had just confirmed it. Reuben thought for a moment about what to do about the cuffs before turning to a woman and asking if she had any had any hair pins to which she produced a small hair pin from the nest of hair on her head and handed it to him. He could feel her fear without having to see it on her face. "We'll get you out of here." He reassured her, though truthfully he didn't know if any of them would get out.

The cuffs might require some extra work using the force since they weren't a simple lock and key. Reuben looked at Kalanda's eyes for confirmation of what he was about to attempt. "Stay very still."

Help each other? Cooperate? If she wasn't in this current situation, Kalanda would have found the idea laughable at best. But sadly, she didn't want her brain to be devoured by aliens. Her mouth twitched, partly out of disgust, partly out of humor. This was ridiculous. After a moment of silence, she finally spoke. "Fine." She was sold on working together, not like they had any other choice. But if the jedi so happened to get left behind...well...accidents happened right?

She rolled her eyes at the jedi's sob story, too bad they hadn't broken his jaw as well; least then she could suffer his presence in silence. "You poor thing." She said, without a drop of sympathy. Kalanda didn't care if the padawan sprained his wrist, what she did care about was getting free. "Well, unless you can get my hands free, we can't get out of here." Kalanda stated again looking about the cell for something to be a solution.

The jedi found some woman to loan some pins from her hair, but his side comment threatened to make the Sith nauseous. "Let's focus on getting ourselves out first." She said with annoyance, before holding her hands out to the jedi. Hopefully he knew what in the blasts he was doing, because she certainly didn't know how to pick a lock. The padawan told her to stay still, which only was rewarded by a very sassy eyebrow raise from the acolyte. She held back a comment, partly to let the jedi concentrate, and again because she was growing tired of her own groveling. She simply waited now, using her senses to keep track of the pirates that were surrounding them. She would let the padawan have a go at her cuffs, because frankly she had no clue how to get the damn things off.

Reuben would do all he could to free everyone held captive with them because staying would likely mean certain death. If they could get themselves out then it shouldn't be too hard to take a few extra people with them. However, it wasn't going to be easy to get to that stage, the Sith and Jedi would have a natural distrust of each other.

"I wasn't looking for sympathy." He said with a frown. Especially not from you, he thought. "You're in here as much as I am" He chided, though remained composed overall. Having to put up with back talk from this Sith was going to test him. He looked in her eyes, about to say that if they leave they're taking the others with them but decided that that would be a bridge they would cross later and a bit preemptive to even think about starting to argue about now.

Focusing on the task at hand, he held underneath the cuffs with his left hand to hold them still and stuck the hair pin into the most obvious point of entry, trying to tactfully manoeuvre the electronic components inside without disrupting it too much as to give her a shock. As much as the Sith and Jedi were at odds, he didn't want to see her, or anyone, unnecessarily hurt. After some time with no success, he closed his eyes, trying to focus on what he could feel rather than what he could see, using the force to aid the movement of some of the more difficult to reach components until the cuffs clicked open.

"What's your name?" Reuben asked as he pulled the cuffs off and dropped them on the floor. He wasn't sure how the Sith would respond to such a question but he despised it when people spat the word Jedi at him like it was an insult so would try and avoid it if he could.

Kalanda was finding the boy in front of her increasingly insufferable. "If you don't want sympathy, then stop looking like a whimpering child." Her eyes rolled so fast with his following retort, that they could have made the jump to lightspeed. "Yes, I'm aware. No need to state the obvious." Clearly, this was going to be an issue. Yes, she was testing him, and as he stared at her, she scoffed. She didn't have time for the moral qualms of a jedi, especially if they wanted to escape alive.

She watched as the padawan began to fiddle with her cuffs, working the bobby pin back and forth, manipulating the electronic and mechanical parts within in an attempt to purchase freedom for his reluctant ally. Unfortunately, he didn't seem to know what he was doing, and Kalanda was growing inpatient. "You've never done this, have you?" She asked with a great deal of annoyance, watching as he paused what he was doing and closed his eyes, and not soon after the cuffs were released; much to the Sith's surprise. Rubbing her wrists as they were freed, Kalanda gazed at the padawan with suspicion, her name was not needed. "You can call me master, until we are off world. Then, if we make it that far, I'll privilege you with my name." She spoke in a condescending tone, picking up the cuffs from the ground and setting them in her lap. "Now that you've done your part in this ploy jedi, I will do mine." She spoke, closing her eyes and focusing on the area around her.

They were in the center of the camp, out side the door infront of them there seemed to be a handling center, several speeders with benches awaited, many of them loaded up with fellow captives. She felt from the life signs of the pirates, feeling the presence of close to two dozen within the camp, but only nine of which were between them and the speeder. That was more than manageable for her. She came out of her trance, looking to the padawan. "There are nine men between us, and the speeders. I have no idea where our lightsabers are, but I would assume they are held by the leader of this group." Kalanda rose, opening and closing her hands, trying to warm herself up for what she was about to do. "If you want to take the prisoners with us then keep them close," She spoke, preparing to do something rather rash, as she could feel the pair of pirates coming back, and oh boy did she have a surprise for them. "I'm going to kill every single pirate that we run across. I don't recommend you try and stop me." She warned, extending her hands outwards, the cuffs floating up alongside her. The moment the pirates entered the room, Kalanda unleashed everything she had at the pair, drawing upon her rage and sparing no one. The cuffs flew out lightning fast, smacking against the heads of both pirates, before she got hold of them and slammed both their bodies against the wall. The two men struggled, trying to still fire at her, which they were only rewarded with by having their heads knocked together, sending them to the ground unconscious. Kalanda looked to the jedi, as she moved to lift the weapons off the men. "There, now let's get out of here." She commented, eager to extract some level of vengeance against these pirate bastards.

Reuben thought about making a retort but decided against it, no matter how much he wanted to get the last word in, he would drop it for everyone's sake. It seemed as though he would have to let a lot of things go around his new companion if they were to even slightly get along and though not a vindictive person, the Sith were the one thing that struck a nerve with him but maybe the acolytes weren't beyond saving, he was trying not to think too harshly of the young woman even though she hadn't made the best impression so far.

"No, I haven't, but that's the best way to learn." He replied nonchalantly, wondering what his fellow Jedi would think about him helping a Sith, though if they both escaped with their lives then the force would be just as balanced as if both had perished, not that he believed that but some people did. "Yeah, right." He said under his breath after being instructed to call her master, that would be the last thing he would call her, he had far too much honour for the Jedi for that. He hated her speaking to him with such disrespect, regardless of being a Jedi, not that she would ever respect that, but on the grounds of being a person but to avoid constant bickering he knew he would have to pick his battles.

Reuben listened as she explained the situation, though he could guess as much by sensing the living beings outside of the room, at least they were both on the same page. He nodded in agreement, lightsabers were valuable and so would likely be with a person of greater importance or somewhere difficult to access. He was surprised the was even entertaining the idea of freeing the other prisoners, knowing the nature of the Sith, it was likely always her own best interests at heart, but he nodded again to show he understood and relayed the information onto the three others in the room with them. "Stay close to me, if you can fight, do." He instructed, looking over the three pairs of eyes which looked back at him for some confirmation. Though Jedi are traditionally peacemakers, there was no other option in this scenario, peace was long gone from the table and even if they were to die, these pirates would continue with others.

There was no point in arguing, it would be counter productive to try and stop her from her likely anger-fueled rampage and though morally dubious, there was nothing he could do to stop her without getting at least both of them killed and maybe the other people with them. He watched her take down two of the pirates, almost in awe, before following her out into some kind of handling centre, without his lightsaber he felt so exposed, there was nothing protecting him from any blaster fire that might come his way. He hoped the Sith had some tricks up her sleeve or they just walked from their deaths straight back into their deaths.

Taking up their weapons, Kalanda took the blaster rifle and scowled in disdain at it's bulk. She dropped it to the floor, taking up the blaster pistol instead. Better. She looked to her companions, waving them on. The rest of the prisoners would jump to the body of the remaining guard, two men took up the blaster rifles, with the woman from earlier offering the blaster pistol to the jedi. "Does your friend know the way out?" She asked, her tone showing she was desperately hoping for an answer from him. Kalanda cast a glare back at the prisoners, before moving out of the room. They weren't friends, but there was no reason to try and correct the broad.

Kalanda entered into a small corridor, seeing another door in front of her, though it seemed there was some confounded mechanical device attached over it. Kalanda looked back towards the jedi, then to the door. "Do you have any idea how to open that?" She asked, gesturing with her pistol. It looked as if it needed a password to open, and given Kalanda's ineptitude with technology, there was no way she was going to get that door open. Least for the time being, she could sense the rest of the pirates were not aware of what was happening within the holding cells, but eventually someone would come to investigate. Which would not be idle. "I'm not good with tech. At all." She said rather pointedly, gripping the blaster tightly.

Reuben took the blaster from the woman and tried to offer a comforting smile, though he didn't know the answer himself. "I think so." He said, not correcting her on the fact they were sworn enemies, he was trying not to focus on that himself. Though he hoped when it came down to it, the Sith would remember what he had done for her and not try to kill him the second she gets her hands back on a lightsaber or possibly even return the favour, depending on what her pride would allow.

"No, but I can try." He said, walking up to the door and beginning to fiddle with the device attached to the door, but it wasn't like he could guess the password, everything was so much more difficult without a lightsaber. He knew he needn't tell her to cover him, she was relying on him right now, not that he was confident he was going to get anywhere.

Reuben was not very adept at using the force to move things, especially not big, heavy things and shooting the device could keep the door locked and trap them in there. Thoughts raced through his mind, thinking of any way to open the door before he closed his eyes again, trying to gain composure and clarity, something unfamiliar to the Sith no doubt, which was difficult under the circumstances and began manipulating the small components in the device for an annoyingly long time before the door slid open and he turned back to the group, urging them on. "Come on." He said, leading them out the end of the corridor.

Kalanda stood over the jedi, watching with a small bit of annoyance at his lack of progress. Still, he had a better chance of opening it then her. She only had raw power, not finesse; frankly because she lacked the patience for it. As time passed on and the door remained locked, she grew increasingly annoyed at her counterpart, debating if shooting one of the prisoners would hasten him up, though if anything that would just be a detriment; so she resigned herself to waiting some more. Finally, after several moments, he finally managed to open the door, much to the Sith's delight, as she would follow the padawan out of the escape. "You're giving me more reasons to spare you, jedi." She said rather pointedly, but did little else to antagonize him.

As the pair made it into the new room, they soon ran into a problem, as the next room lead outside to the speeders, but there were also several armed pirates who milled about outside. Kalanda could sense their locations, and reasoned the jedi with her could as well. If nothing else, this would prove to be a mild irritation for them. Drawing her blaster, she moved towards the door, motioning for the two armed men in the group to move with her. Instead of doing as she commanded however, they moved closer to the jedi, which prompted a small torrent of fury from her. Directing her glare upon the jedi, she spoke in a hushed, yet irritated tone. "The only way we're making it to the speeders is if those idiots with the rifles know how to use them." She said, staying rather to the point. "So, since they trust you so much, perhaps you can tell them where the pirates are so they can eliminate them for us."

She shouldn't have been too surprised, given how people tended to react to Sith after all. Then a thought occurred to her, as just beyond her senses she could almost envision a refueling station the pirates were using for their vehicles. Perhaps she didn't need to put her faith in the others now. If something like that went off, they'd have plenty of time to make their escape. A wicked smile crossed her features at the thought of the structure being ignited.

Reuben found it somewhat amusing to be able to prove to the Sith that anger and violence wasn't the way to solve everything, though he didn't give any inclination to such a feeling in his facial expression and he didn't dwell on the thought. He knew she would get impatient before he could feel her frustration and did not retort to her taunts and instead offered a wry smile, it seemed like maybe she would benefit from being taught about the light side after all.

The life force of the pirates in the next room was obvious and Reuben knew that amongst the chaos that was about to ensue he would struggle to be responsible for all the people with them, though he would try his best, they would have to try and defend themselves too. The two armed men drew closer to him, understandably, either because they knew Kalanda was a Sith or Reuben was a Jedi or because Kalanda hadn't exactly been the most approachable of people, or a combination of all three.

Turning to the two men, Reuben spoke to them quietly. "Once we get in there, there are three of them on the left and two more I can't quite place..." He trailed off for a moment. "They keep moving." He looked at the men for confirmation that they understood before instructing. "Get to a speeder and get far from here, keep safe, then we can regroup." He focused his attention ahead and looked at Kalanda to see if she was ready, though he didn't know who he was kidding, she had been probably been itching for this since the moment she got here.

The door slid open and the group entered, clearly catching the pirates by surprise but with their quick reactions it only took seconds before the room was alive with blaster fire. Reuben shot at the pirate closest to him, aiming for his shoulder and hand, as not to kill but render him incapable of returning fire. He had never missed having a lightsaber more.

Kalanda had indeed been waiting a while to act, and when the door opened, she didn't hesitate to take out the pirates beyond. Her first shot struck a pirate right in the neck, boiling away most of his upper neck, and sending his lifeless body to the ground. She turned to her left as she stepped forward, firing and blowing a hole through the other pirate, as she would continue moving towards the speeders, as the remaining pirates called for help or attempted to fire back at them. One of the unlucky prisoners caught a shot to the back, as he toppled to the ground dead. Well, just left more room for the rest of them on the ship out of here. She needed to find her lightsaber again, because frankly she would feel much better with it in her hands. The prisoners loaded onto the speeders seemed to get the gist of the idea, as even though they were cuffed, some of them attempted to hijack their speeders, earning them the attention of their pirate captors who had just about enough of rebellious captives; something a quick rifle burst tended to solve. Some of their group had already gotten hold of a speeder, as they got it running and began loading up the rest of the group on board.

By now, several groups of pirates were starting to close in on their position, as they seemed to become aware something was seriously wrong. Kalanda had found her own speeder to make her escape, a small armed craft that was fit for three, with a small blaster canon stationed on the back. It would give them their best chance to escape, but first they needed an even grander distraction. Looking back towards the refueling station, she spotted an approaching pirate speeder darting towards their little group, and knew she had her opening. Extending her hand, the driver of the speeder would find the controls taken away from him, as the speeder veered into the fueling station, their terrified screams died off in the engulfing blast, as a small mushroom cloud erupted from the explosion of ship and speeder fuel being ignited. Debris from the exploding structure began to rain down, sending many of the pirates running and ducking for cover, but creating the sort of distraction Kalanda had desired. Sitting in the speeder, she could only hope she could escape from the jedi in all the chaos, as she started the speeder, prepared to make a run for it.

Most of the pirates had been taken care of but more would certainly be on their way soon, you didn't need to be force sensitive to know that, with all the commotion going on they could probably guess what was happening and would soon be there with guns blazing.

Reuben dropped down to the floor next to one of the prisoners who had taken a blaster to the leg with the blaster fire resuming overhead. They would have to be quick if they were to even stand a chance at getting out alive. He quickly assessed the young man's injury and thought it would be unlikely that he would be able to walk but it was only a short difference so he thought he should be able to carry the man to a speeder. Reuben put an arm under the man's knees and the other behind his shoulders and lifted him off the ground, grimacing in pain as he did, and took the man the short distance to the speeders where he was helped onto the vehicle by other prisoners. "Go!" He shouted to the driver who hesitantly took off.

Since there were no living prisoners left that he could see, he jumped onto a speeder and followed the rest of the group, he could see the Sith up ahead and sped up to try and catch up with her, though he was reluctant to continue working with her they weren't out of the woods yet, literally and metaphorically and she had been helpful thus far. It wasn't long until she displayed the extent of her abilities by using the force to take control of a speeder and send it into a fuelling station in a spectacularly Sith manner. Reuben dodged debris from overhead but momentarily blinded by smoke, only saw the Sith at the last second, slamming on the breaks and swerving to avoid her while clipping the back of her speeder before coming to a sudden halt.

Kalanda was greatly enjoying her chain reaction, cackling as she witnessed the pirates seem to stop firing at them and move to tend to the inferno that was consuming their camp. She was perhaps too into the destruction, as she failed to notice the speeder approaching her from behind, she wasn't going as fast as she could have, after all she hardly knew how to drive these things.

What she hadn't expected was the jedi colliding with her speeder, sending it on a tail spin as it slammed against a tree stump, and ejected her out and onto the ground, a loud 'snap' following as she landed on her arm. Kalanda's head was spinning, as she felt a fierce pain sweep up her arm and towards her shoulder, she only knew her speeder had been struck and that she needed to get out of there. Trying to rise, she felt the pain course through her arm, sending her sprawled back onto the ground as she cried out in pain. She worked her way onto her knees with her one good arm, as her other limb hung awkwardly at her side, sending another wave of pain through her body. She glared angerly at the jedi, as she slowly rose and attempted to work her way towards the halted jedi. She didn't know where her weapon was, and frankly she didn't care. Her one way out of here was taken away, and all because of the jedi. That wasn't her thought now, she only needed to escape, then strangle the jedi later. "Move!" She shouted, as she would attempt to force herself into the speeder, grunting in pain as she landed on her bad arm, expecting the jedi to get a move on.

Dazed for a moment, Reuben reacted too late and could only watch helplessly as the Sith's speeder crashed into a tree. It was never his intention for her to get hurt. He jumped off the speeder, not quite sure what to say but suspecting anything he said would be shot down with a snide comment. He wanted to offer her a hand, anything to help her but as soon as he went to help her he retracted his hand, it probably would've made her angrier.

When she was on the speeder, he hesitated for a moment before apologising. "I'm sorry, I couldn't see you..." He said sincerely, although Sith seemed to run on anger and he wasn't sure forgiveness was even in their vocabulary. Though there wasn't much time for pleasantries, there could be more pirates coming at any moment for all they knew and even then they wouldn't be safe until they got off the planet.

Reuben felt guilty but he thought anything he said might anger her and he wasn't very adept at force healing but even if he was it would exhaust him. He instead opted to stay silent and started the speeder to take them as far away from the pirate camp as possible but after a while it became apparent that no one was chasing them any more. He brought the speeder to a halt momentarily in the woods, out of the way of a clearing and turned around to face the Sith. "Can I look at your arm?" He asked, clearly remorseful.

Reuben was right, trying to help her would have only made her angrier. His attempted apology earned him a hard stare from the woman, as small bits of tears streamed from the corner of her eyes. "Clearly not." She remarked rather coldly. She didn't care for his apology, the truth was he had done it on purpose. There was no other excuse. If she had two good arms she'd be strangling him right now.

Thankfully they were not in danger, as the pirates seemed to be trying to get their flaming base under control. However, she was stuck with the jedi, not to mention with a broken arm. She said very little as they made their way across the planet, only occasionally trying to move her arm, or glaring at the padwan; with very little variation in between. Finally, as they came to a stop, the padawan looked to try and fix his mistake, asking to see her wounded arm. She glanced down at her lomb, then back to him. "Well, there it is. Now what?" She spat, feeling another sensation of anger towards the man in the speeder with her. Partly because it kept her from crying out of the pain she felt sporadically. After putting up a tough front however, she finally relented, she couldn't move at all without it hurting. "Fine, just...do what you're going to do."

Reuben gently put both of his hands on Kalanda's arm and closed his eyes and attempted to use force heal, he didn't think he would be able to heal her completely but he hoped to at least ease some of the pain and after a few moments with no effects as far as he could see or feel he frowned and opened his eyes. "I'm sorry, I can't heal you." He apologised. He hadn't learnt how to force heal properly yet, it was really just a desperate attempt but the dark side of the force didn't allow for permanent healing so he was probably the best chance they had.

There really wasn't much to spare but Reuben took off his overtunic, leaving his undertunic on, and fashioned a make-shift sling out of it. He put it over Kalanda's head and placed her arm in it with tenderness. He knew she was angry and didn't want to push her any more so he said nothing and turned back around and started the speeder again before continuing with their seemingly perpetual journey. "Do you have a ship or... any way to get off this planet?" He asked after an uncomfortably long silence.

Kalanda was in a great deal of pain, and despite the padawan's attempts to mend her injury, it seemed to only make things worse. When he said he couldn't heal her, she could only curse him through gritted teeth. "Some help you are." She grunted out, but his attempt at making a sling for her injuried arm worked much better.

While it hurt for him to position the broken limb, Kalanda breathed a breath of relief as the pain slowly began to fade. As the padawan started the speeder, the acolyte had suck into the chair, enjoying the sensation of the pain slowly leaving her body, only to be disrupted by the padawan asking stupid questions. "I did. I don't know if my transport is even here anymore. Probably somewhere at the pirate camp, or it got pawned off for drinking money." Kalanda's tone was less angry now, Reuben would notice, as she sounded more annoyed than anything.

Reuben could've quipped back at Kalanda but spent very little time thinking about it and deciding against it, his pride wasn't bigger than him. He didn't bother telling her to keep still, she would've known to do that already and telling her could've made him seem condescending so he let her deal with it herself to avoid any unnecessary arguments.

"Where do we go?" He asked, almost rhetorically, he had hoped for an answer but knew that they were both in the same situation so an answer would be unlikely. "We can't go somewhere heavily populated looking like this..." Though not obviously force users, they were obviously not locals which made being on the planet so dangerous when you didn't know anyone there.

Eventually they came to the edge of the forest with some kind of civilian dwelling on the outskirts, though not the most populous of places. Reuben stopped the speeder well out of the way of the clearing and turned around to Kalanda. "I can trick some people but I can't trick a whole town." He said with a hint of nervousness. "So will you give me your name now?" He asked before introducing himself before Kalanda could. "I'm Reuben."
