Cath moved slowly as she prepared, the padawan she was getting was interesting the son of a jedi oh how quaint. Better yet his father fell now that was interesting and he seemed to get terrible treatment. She might have to lend a gentle hand and approach this is finesse gained from her years of wisdom and training.... Or she could treat him like every other padawan and push him to his limits until he dried... Oh yes that one sounded more enjoyable. She finished and stood going around the edge making sure it was rescorched into the floor. The same circle she trained all her padawans in think of it more as a little world they got confined into until she said differently.

Blank walked down the corridor on Tython. He was used to temples, this one even more so. His training saber stood on his belt, it bounced off of his leg as he walked. The corridors seemed to stretch for long distances, forever, to the pessimistic, though Blank didn't mind this walk. He approached the room where he was supposed to meet this master. He stepped in, observing the room's contents.

Cath looked over at Blank and she stood still for a moment. She wasn't worried just looking behind her mask. Slowly Cath moved again speak as she pointed. "Enter the circle and stand at the center padawan." Cath waited until it was done so she could continue.

"This circle is now your entire life nothing outside it is important until I say so understood? When you leave this room you will head to the mess hall only for food and return here. If you are sloppy in your movements you will get a lash, if you snivel you will be lashed, if you try and leave the circle before I tell you you can you will be lashed."

"I am not cruel I will take no enjoyment from this but you will learn. Other masters might make you lift rocks I will have you lift boulders. Some will make you read, I will give you an hour to prepare for a lecture in front of the other padawans. You will be a proper jedi and not one of the ones cowering in the dirt wanting the sith threat to pass by. Is that understood?"

She moved around the circle while she spoke trailing her whip behind her and didn't have to look to see Blanks face the expression did not matter... His feeling unless he wanted to leave did not matter... and most important as his master her word was law.

Blank moved silently into the circle, unsure of his master's abilities, but listening well. The suit and whip disturbed him to no ends, but he did not bring it up in speech, only left it to thought. He listened intently to his master's words, heeding them all, keeping silent as he did so.

(Short post, attack of the lost muse, thought I owed you a reply)

Cath looked at her padawan. "Come now it is okay you may speak... Perhaps you have questions? Ideas? If not then recite for me the jedi code."

Blank kept his stare straight ahead, opening his mouth, letting out a deep sounding breath. He had memorized the Jedi Code in his early days as a child, something that his previous teachers had stressed immensely, was knowing, and following this code, though at this time, Blank seemed to forget it all, as if he was stumbling through the darkness.

"Jedi are the guardians of peace in the galaxy." he spoke, a hint of nervousness in his words.
"Jedi use their powers to defend and protect."
"Jedi respect all life, in any form."
"Jedi sevr- serve others rather than ruling over them, for the good of the galaxy." Odai stumbled his words on this longer line, quickly correcting himself.
"Jedi seek to improve themselves through knowledge and training." He finished, continuing his forward gaze.

Cath looked up and nodded. "Very good now assume a ready stance and then preform a jung."

Blank readied himself in the proper position, standing in the middle of the circle. He turned 180 degrees to preform a Jung.

"Again, continue until I tell you to stop." Cath began to walk the edge of the circle and rolled her shoulders letting the whip drag.

Blank never left the ready stance, he continued, after being told, to perform the Jung until his master told him to stop.

Cath let the boy preform the move turn pause turn pause turn... Over and over while she walked for hours. He needed to be ready for what was to come and Cath spoke after the first day. "Enough, now tell me everything you know about the force."

It seemed, or was, hours before Odai got to stop.

"The force is an extension of a Jedi's abilities. It is born with. I've learned much about the Force, and the Force demands you to perform to the best of your ability and concentration. The Jedi believe the most noble side is that known as the 'Light Side' which utilizes non-combat powers. I, too, believe that the Light Side is the most noble side. I am able to use a small amount of the Force's powers, though there is much I still have to learn." Odai said with a confident tone.

Cath nodded. "Very good but do not forget for the jedi the force is something many will use regularly. This is fine but if I see you using it instead of your own self you will be punished. Only when training or in duels should you use it. Now what do you know of the seven forms?"

"The Seven Forms are used for lightsaber combat, each holding a different purpose. Shii-Cho is generally the first form a Jedi learns in their initiation years." Odai said.

Cath stopped for a moment and turned as she spoke. "I said all seven forms. Not just one." Cath lashed with the whip towards the padawans feet and spoke. "Now continue from form two Makashi."

Blank continued to speak, misunderstanding the question at first.

"Makashi was made as a counter to Shii-Cho, focusing on blocking the slashes, and delivering effective counter attacks. It is used by most for dueling.

Soresu was designed to defend one's self from being hit, used as a primarily defensive stance.

Ataru was designed to be an aggressive form, focusing on power and speed, best used against one opponent.

Form V was made to build upon Soresu, and help defend against advancing technologies."

"That is the most I know about the seven lightsaber forms, Master." Odai said in a bit of an confident tone. He had not learned the purpose for ALL of the forms.

Odai put himself into a neutral stance, and then performed a Jung-ma until his master told him to stop.

Cath lashed with the whip again as she spoke her voice not getting high or angry. "Wrong. Jung into a neutral stance then jung-ma. Start again and continue for the next ninety six hours."

Blank honestly doubted that he would ever need to perform these actions for ninety-six hours at any time when his real mission starts, never the less, he obeyed. He followed his master's instructions quickly, and to the best of his ability.
