Ralltiir, Core Worlds
Tobias found himself, by no accident, at a party. Just another swanky, over the top, exclusive party on the well-to-do side of Cambriele. Entrance by invitation only, but the Orcolan had already observed at least three possible entrances that the uninvited could use to gain admission if they really wanted to. In a place this size, there had to be dozens more. Security might have been tight, but that didn't mean failproof. There was always a way around that sort of thing. Not that he had any experience sneaking in back doors where he wasn't welcome.
Tonight he had walked right in through the front door. No, he hadn't been invited. Of course not. But the good-looking young heiress on his arm had been, and she had been quite taken with some of his sketches and insisted he come along. Quite taken with him, too, he liked to imagine. He had lost sight of her shortly after their arrival, after some woman with an ugly hat full of feathers had seized her by the arm and pulled her away to meet the woman's fifth husband or... something like that.
More guests were arriving every minute, shrugging off their overcoats into the arms of waiting servants who stood waiting to usher them in out of the cold. Each of them looked richer than the last, gliding across the marble floor in evening gowns and tuxedos. There were lots of good contacts to be made here alright. Tobias felt right at home.
ooc: messing around with a new character, social open to anyone !
