That's what I was thinking, I'm seriously considering making them. I even have a character already!

But he'll pay the Mandalorian Iron price, and all your warriors are in the south fighting Lannisters!

Wait, this brings up a point. What's happening to former GA space?

Beyond "The Alliance for a New Republic" how will they be referred to?

Because for some reason I just really hate that name.

It just seems too....obvious. There's no spark to it.

So, theoretically, Fetts could rape and pillage freely? Factions could conquer worlds?

As long as it falls in line with the below rule:

7. All expansion of an approved faction that does not include member roster changes including technology must be approved by a factions administrator. This is to prevent rapid and unrealistic expansion of independent faction and to ensure faction remain balanced and fair beyond the initial approval period. Any faction found in violation of this ruling will be restricted from expanding for a certain period of time - established on a case by case basis - and potentially face their numbers being lowered depending on the severity of the infringement. Repeat offenders will have their factions shut down and archived indefinitely.

I'm fairly certain the purpose of this decision was to separate the Mandalorian clans. >.>

I'm running this by Corden and brainstorming with people who've poked me about this. What the general gist of the plan is is this: it's a loosely held together coalition of ( small/medium ) clans led by Bralor with the intent to keep Mandalorian space Mandalorian and to contain the worst of the civil war within those borders. Common goal and all that.

It might not be an actual 'mega clan'. I think it's leaning heavily towards a coalition aspect at the moment. Think of it as the Mando UN, if that makes any sense. It's still all apples and oranges right now though, with nothing set down in concrete.

It might just end being a method for clans to communicate with each other or something. It's all ideas right now. But it won't be a mega-clan, that much I'm certain on. We won't be recreating the current faction as an Indie, it will be something different.

Mandalorian Space is being kept Mandalorian by the economic power of MandalMotors.

Then vote against it?

I feel like it's something the Tank should ultimately be deciding.

Noted and raised, for Cassa is a benevolent overlord. I'll go and read your PM now.

The GoT suggestion seems much better to me. A number of claimants to the title of Mandalore, each with a number of clans backing them. They fight, plot and deceive until a single leader emerges.

@Wit

I don't think the Mando UN (United Clans?) will do much to stop that.

They're welcome to fight over the title all they want. It's all hazy days right now, but suffice to say a 'Game of Thrones' over the Mandalore's title won't be impeded by this. If nothing else, it'll be encouraged. Heavily encouraged. We'd just be making sure it stays in the Mandalore sector.

All I can ask is that people be patient with this, I'm working hard with Corden over this to make sure it stays thematically in line with a game of thrones style civil war. Hopefully by the end of the month I'll have a first draft up for peer review and admin approval. This isn't me going "OH HEY WE'RE GONNA BE DIFFERENT JUST 'CUS :DDDDDD". There is a plan.

Somewhere.

I vote that the Alliance gets referred to as "Greycoats" or "Blackshirts" as a moniker homage to the Irish Blueshirts, the Italian Blackshirts and the Browncoats from Firefly.
