Hal walked through the halls of the The Will at a brisk pace. He was eager to get to his destination but running there wouldn't help. Volkman would still be there regardless of whether he hurried or not. His venture to The Will was unexpected to say the least. He hadn't been here in some time and it was nice saying hello the familiar faces as he walked past them. Still he wondered if him being called her would work out for the best.

Hal had gotten a call late in the night a few days ago that told him to head to The Will promptly. Upon arriving he was told that a Knight wished to seek audience with him, wishing to train him. Hal had already had two Master's previously, though he spent very little time with either one of them. Both because of unforeseen events that led to Hal's current Master-less journey. Hal had learned a lot in the time he had, even without a Master. He wondered if things would go even faster when a senior actually picked him up.

Eventually he found himself at the door. He opened it without knocking peering inside.

"Knight Volkman? I'm Hal, Hal Kailas. You asked for me?", Hal spoke as he entered the room.

The Will of the Force was a massive ship containing some of the Order's finest Jedi and the most skilled of its Guardians. The mobile fortress was home to many but had a strange atmosphere since Battlemaster Augustus had left not too long ago. The man had taught many that made their home here and heavily influenced all others.

A certain former apprentice of his had gone on to become the Knight-Master of Martial Arts in the Order and somewhat famous throughout the galaxy for his skill in unarmed combat. As a student of Augustus, he was more than adequately skilled with a lightsaber as well and although he had a smaller variety of Force powers to choose form, his skill with those rivaled much more capable force users.

Alistair knelt on the floor of his personal quarters on the Will meditating on the recent events. The Grandmaster had been removed through a vote of no-confidence and the Battlemaster had, as mentioned before, stepped down alongside him. The young Echani-hybrid's eyes shone a pale blue beneth the lids as the Light Side filled his veins and flowed freely throughout his body.

"Knight Volkman? I'm Hal, Hal Kailas. You asked for me?"

The words echoed in his ears as they reached him, wherever he was, and he slowly came out of his meditative trance. His eyes kept the strange glow until he blinked a few times before making eye contact with Hal.

"Hello Hal. How are you?"

He asked in a light and friendly tone. Some Jedi had a tendency to act arrogantly with a "holier than thou" attitude but Alistair was not one of them.

"I requested your presence because I've heard many a good thing about your progress thus far in your training to become a Knight. Word has reached me that you were quite the capable fighter without a weapon and are rounding out your skills well. I was merely wondering if you'd like to have a formal...."

Alistair paused for a second, trying to find the right words.

"Guide on your path to Knighthood. I don't like to call myself someone's Master because you're not my slave, you're a student. I won't entirely control how your training progresses but I will be there to make sure you get out in one piece. Is this agreeable to you? If so, I'll run some tests to see where you're at in your training and we can get to the good stuff."

Hal stepped further into the room, making out the man sitting on the floor. It was obvious he was meditating, the air of the room gave it away. Volkman answered Hal with a friendly greeting. He immediately got into the reason why he called him.

"Thank you sir. I'm not sure what I did that peaked your interest but I'm glad the words spoken regarding me are kind.", Hal responded, not able to stop himself from grinning. He couldn't help but wonder what was being said about him. He had never really thought about it before now. Volkman mentioning it had peaked his interested. Despite his curiosity he kept it to himself, it wasn't polite to ask about what others said in private. "I do believe they refer to you as master simply out of respect of your expertise of the techniques you teach." Hal stepped closer to Volkman offering a helping hand, not that Volkman needed a hand. "I would be more then happy to be under your tutelage but if you don't mind me asking. What kind of test?"
