DESCRIPTION​

The Theta-class Assault Walker (or T-CAW) is the flagship of Kuat Drive Yard's new walker line, built to replace the original AT line. The Theta-class utilizes the newest targeting and weapons equipment, allowing it to excel in its role. The crew consists of three people: the commander (who commands the other two crewmembers and is in control of his TACDIS), the driver (who controls the legs and shares a TACDIS with the gunner), and the gunner (who controls the casemate rotation and the guns and shares a TACDIS with the driver.) It is possible to control all of the systems from one crew position, but that is merely for redundancy and is not recommended. The side-mounted guns can rotate in a full circle. It also incorporates a jamming system, something not usually seen in walkers, which allows it to prevent reinforcements from being called in and disrupts enemy scanners. To allow for quick ingress and egress, the walker also has a docking ring on the back of the casemate so that it can be deployed from most starships. The armor of the T-CAW can take multiple direct hits from an E-Web and keep going with relative ease. Unfortunately, this armor adds weight, which lowers the top speed of the vehicle to only 65 kph. Taking a lesson from the Battle of Hoth, the T-CAW has small serrated blades on its legs to cut any cables. The sensor and jamming systems are stored in the 'nose' of the walker. While this gives the sensors a good forward view, it also creates a large blind spot right in front of and under the walker, where the vehicle must rely on its sensors for targeting. Despite this, the T-CAW walkers are becoming popular among military and paramilitary organizations.

LEGALITY​

Restricted. Theta-class Assault Walkers are indisputably military equipment, and are capable of demolishing squads of infantry and even hevy vehicles. They are nearly impossible to own as a civilian, and they are subject to thorough scrutiny by authorities. Military and paramilitary groups may have an easier time of it, however.

To create a walker for paramilitary and military groups that uses modern tech and isn't completely outdated.

RESTRICTIONS​

Theta-class assault walkers are powerful military vehicles with sturdy construction and enough firepower to decimate whole squads of infantry and even heavy vehicles. They cannot be owned by individual characters but can be acquired as a faction asset.
