It's going to sound unrealistic, but the first girl I ever developed romantic feelings for was (and still is) my wife. And even then, we never really went through the flirtatious "crush" phase with each other. It just happened.

And it's still happening now, some 13 odd years on.

Same. Seven years going and getting married in September.

As a general misanthrope I usually have to work around baseless distaste for people to just talk to them, let alone crush on them. xD

Well, 13 years together. 6 actually married.

There was a whole slew of time there where we were either financially unprepared, or just not in a real big rush. We knew it would happen, we just weren't going to drive ourselves insane getting there.

Ok I was exaggerating/joking when I said I had a crush on Andro, like when I was really into the character a while back I thought she was kind of hot, but eventually lost interest... and while I'm very attached to my characters, I certainly don't value them above my family and the human race. I'm not as tragic as you think.

I'm still pretty tragic, mind you, but not that tragic :p
