Himal was still staggering towards the hunter, his pistol outstretched when somehow, miraculously unharmed from the explosion of a thermal detonator, he launched himself across the roof. In shock Himal fired and was sure he had scored at least one hit. He continued towards the now hiding hunter. A sonic detonator rolled at his feet. One Leaning on a ledge, he drew his good leg back. Two He kicked the detonator as hard as he could and it flew through the air, off the roof. Three Himal continued forward, his pistol raised. Bang The detonator exploded in the air, now to far to do anything than to rock either combatent where they stood. He stood, out of breath, his pistol raised at the cover the Verpine had taken, waiting for him to come out.

- Vaulix was hurt, that was for certain. One could tell from the sploches of green vital fluid at certain places where he moved. Just not as bad since he had a bit of cover to absorb the brunt of the explosion as well as his races chitinous skin. As soon as he heard the explosion he got to his knees and fell foward on his right side, rifle raised and he let out a solitary shot aimed at the center of Himals chest. Since Himal had his pistol raised expecting Vaulix to merely stand up out of cover he would'nt expect a low and fast attack. -

Himal's arm was raised, but it ached. If he fired a shot, it would probably hit a man in the stomach, still an area for a lethal shot. The Verpine spun out on his knee and fired. Himal barely had to adjust his aim to get two shots off before he staggered back, a round piecing his upper right chest. He fell back and breathed deeply.

"You still need to take my head, Hunter. And you call me a coward. You sit in the shadows, hiding from those you wish to kill, shooting them from a far. You have no honour and much fear." Himal spluttered a few breaths, waiting to see what the Verpine would do. He was not getting up on his own, that was for sure. But the Verpine had given him an injury that would take a long time to kill him. And he needed his head and effects to collect the bounty.

- The first round glanced off an intact peice of his armor yet the second slug would work its way through his weakened carapace and into Vaulix's gut. Yet for some reason the Verpine kept upright, even standing. While keeping his rifle trained on the now incapacitated Himal he ripped a peice of his charred cloak and jammed the shred of rag into his wound to atleast slow his bleedout. He took a few shaky steps forward and looked down on the man. -

That is where you are wrong, I have much honor.

You've dedicated your life to harming innocents, and for that you have no honor and you are dead to rights. I hope you find solace in death, Himal Asura.

- With that he put the barrel of his rifle against where the human heart would be, and unleash the last round twoards Himals chest. -

"You have no honour in the fight," Himal managed to garble. The round fired. His body went limp. Himal had left one last surprise, knowing the hunter would come up to him. The grenade would burn anything withing two meters of it to a crisp, and set fire to much more beside. Himal had known he was to die, but he was hell bent on taking the Hunter with him.It was a red deadly plasma grenade. The grenade would burn anything withing two meters of it to a crisp, and set fire to much more beside. Himal had known he was to die, but he was hell bent on taking the Hunter with him. Himal had armed it when standing up after the explosion of the thermal detonator. And he had kept the safety depressed with a fuse of three seconds. As his hand went limp, the safety flicked off and the fuse lit. Three The grenade stayed, silent and dangerous, hidden under his cupped hand. Two Even if by some miracle the hunter did escape, the grenade would burn his body and effects that were still on him. One. The Verpine would collect no bounty. Bang.

- Vaulix had slung his rifle over his shoulder and crouched near his side, suddenly he heard the timer beep. He batted the mans hand to the side, picked the grenade up and chucked it as far as he could in quick motion he layed down on his back and pulled Himals body over him as a makeshift . It was barely airborn when it exploded, intense heat and a rain of plasma would sear the side of the building and burn at the back of the humans fleshy body with the deadly plasma. It seemed that Vaulix survived this one, barely. He pushed the corpse off of him and shook his head, atleast he still had an identifiable corpse to turn in to the guild office. If that wasn't worth atleast half the credits what was? He scooted back and lay against a large peice of rubble, an ASEC airspeeder came from the right and three officers unloaded all of them running twoards Vaulix. He threw his rifle to the side and lifted his hands, they began to shout at him. Soon he was in the back of a particularly large transport speeder, a medical droid had began to work on the verpine. On the other side was a body bag that smelled of charred flesh, Himals body and what could be salvaged of his destroyed slug thrower, blade and SMG. Vaulix slowly let the sedative take over and he fell into a drugged slumber, when he would wake up three days later. The officers informed him of the damage and commended him for taking such a dangerous criminal down. The next day he made his way back to the BHG office, now dressed in a modest outfit and a new earthbrown cloak. On a gravsled was Himals body, and it was dummped infront of the warrant officer. Vaulix told his story and waited for the officer to make a decision on payment. -
