Here is the Character/Group Format:
Group Choice: Good Guy Or Bad Guy.
Status: The current status of you or your group. Are you on the road, hold up in a populated area, sitting pretty on a farm, what?
Main Character:
Prominent NPC/PC(s): Number can vary depending on consensus

Civilization has fallen... you (and your family/friends/etc) have managed to survive while others did not. What will you do...
So essentially I'm trying to have us do a little Walking Dead roleplay. I figured we would each control a main character with the option of roleplaying as many as four other characters within a group. Just in case someone wanted to have the whole father trying to save his family type group design. I've yet to decide on the location and date since the outbreak occured. Though I'm leaning towards it being based in Japan and a year has passed. The Virus has already devastated the country, with massive losses. The Government and civilization as a hole is nothing but a hunting field for the Walkers that plague the earth.
Another idea is us each being within a single community of good guys, with another group of bad guys that can be roleplayed by a each of us... and eventually they will meet up and all hell will ensue.
The Good Guys: This would force each of us to have a character(s) that are capable of taking on specific roles within the community and be prepared for a potential assault... though will your leader be thinking of possible Human threats, or will he be solely focused upon the undead? While the outside threat is more of a bunch of savages
The Bad Guys: We would be a more mobile gang... each with a vehicle and tormenting and taking what we needed. There is a potential for cannibalism/etc... overall just bad guys.
I think forming a Heirarchy for each of the groups would be fun... though I think the Bad Guys needs to be a dictatorship while the Good Guys have more of a democratic style of doing things. With a council.
