Open to all: Death Disabled.
Rain pitter pattered from the sky, hitting the grey metal which the citizens walked around on. Thunder boomed in the distant as Vosh Deo, a Mandalorian walked down the street. Much like a Jedi Cloak, he wore it over his body, the hood up. Yet in his hand was yet again another book. He hardly was watching where he was going. He could have bumped into anyone if he wasn't careful. Though people stepped out of the mans way, As he just kept reading this Novel about the sea. It was odd, not his typical choice in books. It lacked that drive which romance gave, sure it was amazing writing. There was no doubt about that. He flipped the page to the next chapter as he rounded the corner. Speeders zipped past above him, the dull lighting of the streets giving no true pleasure to the poor reading light. Finally Vosh stopped at the cross walk. Putting his book in his jacket pocket. He finally looked around.

The Strip he was on had neon lights, Green, Pink, Red, Blue. All these lights flashed and blinked as he looked around. Some signs showed as Bars, Others as dance floors. None of these things really appealed to Vosh for the time. Though a drink never hurt anyone. The crosswalk finally activated as he crossed. The crowd of people masking him just as a normal civilian. He was far from that, to the naked eye. He seemed like a normal man, who just wanted to read a book. Finally as he made his way to the side walk, he stood there in thought. Where to go tonight.. where to go.. Ah! There it was. His regular bar on this planet. A simple and quite bar.

As he made his way down the street, he couldn't help but feeling as if.. Either he was being followed or watched. Maybe both, the man didn't make many enemies. It didn't mean there weren't people out to kill him either. None the less, He finally made his way into the bar. The rain now muffled as he took off his soaked cloak. Placing it on the rack. His black Mandalorian armor now showed, his helmet in view. Which he took off. Holding under his left arm. His boots clacked against the steps. He found a seat soon after, in the far corner where he sat down. To only start reading his book once more.

Evelyn paced the streets. The sound and the feel of the rain, something she missed while travelling from spaceport to spaceport, was a pleasure. With no jobs in this sector, she had rented a flat for a few days on this planet to relax. The clean rain helped to soothe her worries, the stress from her work. It was peaceful in an otherwise chaotic galaxy. She held out her hand from out underneath her cloak, watching the droplets collect and run off together. A deep breath, she closed her eyes, and the pleasant humidity filled her lungs. She took another moment before stepping lightly into the bar. Her cloak was wet and dripping on the floor. She took it off and offered it to the droid host. Her dark hair, save for the bangs that feel at her eyebrows, was pulled back behind her ears. She was dressed in civilian clothes, not very well armed. She wore a soft grey, formfitting top and a blue, pleated skirt that fell just above her exposed knees. She took a seat at the bar. At the other end, one of the other few souls, she saw the man reading a book. The man and the book perked her curiosity - seeing bound books was a rare sighting in the galaxy. There was something archaic and romantic about a bound book, she thought. She motioned to the bartender with slender fingers and ordered a cocktail.

That feeling of being watched in his head went on over drive. He slowly placed the romance novel on the table, as his green eyes looked around the bar. Was there someone after him? Did someone want him dead? As a Spy, he knew how to find someone who was after him in a heart beat, was he losing his touch? Was he just crazy? No. No Vosh shook his head he wasn't crazy, but his emerald green eyes scanned the room as they locked with a woman across the table. He froze there for a moment, she seemed.. nice, calm.. even pretty. Yet the young man wouldn't say that just to anyone. With a small smile, he raised his black gloved hand and gave a wave. His gaze moved away from hers as he picked up his own, Blue glowing drink. Taking a soft sip. Then placing the glass back down. Placing the book infront of him. He kept his gaze there. He dared not look around, it'd raise some awareness. So he opened it up. Reading from the chapter he was on.

Their eyes met for a moment and then grazed off each other. She looked down at her drink and then back up to him. She crossed her legs to the other side. Something about him, she recognized before. Something about him caused him to stick out from others. She waited a moment. Was he really going back to reading his book? She took another long sip of her drink and stood up. Slowly, with each step full of purpose, she walked over to the other side of bar and took a seat next to the stranger, facing him. "What are you reading?"

The young man looked up from his book, as he shut it quickly. He glanced around the room, making sure she was speaking to him. Letting out a small laugh he rubbed the back of his neck. The book itself was a rather sappy romantic one. One of his.. guilty pleasures if you will. With a grand smile, showing his white teeth. He soon spoke.

"Ah..A lovers tale. Is what it's roughly translated into. It's one of a grand war on a distant world. Where a man must search for his lover across the stars. I uh, I rather enjoy romance novels. I used to be a Librarian. Silly, I know."

Now feeling out of place the man took his drink. Taking a long sip, it was around half way full now. If she looked close enough, his cheeks slowly changed to a light pink color. He was more embarssed about how he was caught reading such a romantic novel. After a few moments of averting his gaze. He turned to her, his eyes looking her face over with curious intent.

"Would you wish to read it? I don't mind giving books away. I have far too many, plus I've read this one.. oh.. I don't know. At least thirty times. Now days it's so far to find someone who loves books, stories."

The man's somewhat apprehensive demeanor came as a shock to Evelyn. The words he chose and how he spoke seemed divorced from physical appearance. His build, his posture, the way his eyes searched the room, suggested military of some kind. Yet, he used to be a librarian? How odd. And despite her overly extensive, formal education, she had never heard of the book. Evelyn was intrigued. Maybe, because of the liquor, even amused. "That's nice of you, but you shouldn't just give a book - a real book - to a stranger. Maybe another drink first? What's your name?"

"Please! Please do take the book, honestly I have more in my ship.. Ah.. Who am I? Well, I'm Vosh Deo. Mandalorian. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Vosh once more gave a little smile. He looked to the bar tender an ordered a simple drink, not the blue glowing stuff he was drinking before. The tender gave a gentle nod as he started to make the drink. Vosh turned himself in his chair, now looking over the woman for signs of weapons, she had a few, though nothing that would really hurt him. This was good. Or perhaps bad, he didn't know who he was dealing with. This could be bad.. he'd keep his witts about him. Finally the drink slid over to him, he flicked over a credit to the man giving his thanks.

"What about yourself. Why don't you tell me your story. Why are you here? You don't seem like you're from around these parts. Though, nor am I. Maybe it's because I visit so much.."

She straightened her posture, arching her back slightly, when he asked about her story. She didn't really have an answer to that kind of question. What could she say? She wasn't about to tell a stranger the story of her life. She was here to escape all of that for the night. But she wasn't one to lie, either. Maybe talking would do her some good.

"I'm here on vacation for a few days. Just trying to blow off some steam, I guess."

She kicked back the last of her cocktail in a quick a motion, letting the glass linger on her lower lip. She was sure the man was armed, but she knew that he wasn't viewing her as a threat just yet. There was little worry about this turning ugly. This wasn't the part of town where men and women pull out weapons on each other.

"What about you?"

"I'm here because, well. I rather enjoy the peacefulness of the area. You get little of that now days... There is no peace, there is nothing really.. grand going on either. Isn't that strange. People now days just live their lives as if.. nothing is wrong. Even though, I've done my far share of fighting, battles, killing. I can't say I'm.. always proud of what I do. It's what must be done, for the greater food for everyone. These conflicts. I see no end in site. So I come here, to forget, relax, read. Never thought I'd meet someone. Speaking of which, I don't think I got your name. "

Once more a chuckle came from the man, lifting up what seemed to be whiskey to his lips. Letting the soft drink flow down his throat. Maybe he drank a bit quickly as he coughed a bit. He lifted his arm to his mouth, Coughing a few more times before letting out a gentle sigh. He glanced to the book, then to her. His hand rested on top of the cover, he slid the book over to her.

"Please. Take it. I beg of you."

She placed a hand on the book and pulled it to her, examining it's cover with her fingers. "Evelyn," she said, looking back up at Vosh. "Evelyn Yara." she paused, her eyes darting across the room "Fighting, you say... Killing, even, hmm? Are you caught up in this war? The Republic, the Sacred Band... And these... magicians wielding the Force. It's hard to keep up these days. I can understand the need to get away. Believe me, I definitely understand that." She sighed and for a moment could hear the rain again.

Vosh let out a heavy and long sigh. He wasn't too proud of this war. He tapped his finger against the table, trying to think of how to word such a strange question. Biting his lower lip, he looked at his own gloved hands, then spoke as he finally thought of a reasonable thing to say.

"I wouldn't say caught up, but I have been.. employed before to do some jobs here or there. It's not bad work, hell, I rather enjoy it. Mostly when it's nice and silent. All the world is at your finger tips as you wait.. and wait for that certain person to come on by. Oh.. look at me, I'm getting all romantic wording of the sort. Forgive me, I've gotta stop reading so many books."

He smiled once more. The raining only got harder as it fell from the sky, the roof of the building now muffled the sound, but it didn't stop the booming of lightening in the distances.

"I find rain to be peaceful, don't you?"

She looked away and sighed and ran a hand down one of her bare legs finding a soreness behind her knee. A leftover from one of her last jobs no doubt. "Yes, it is. I've been travelling so long... I almost forget what rain sounds like." Her attention drifted away for a moment.

"Are you a bounty hunter? Some kind of mercenary?" She didn't like discussing work, especially not on pleasant nights like this one, but right now it was all she knew.... And Vosh was guarded in how he answered her, and ssomewhat a mystery she was itching to figure out.

Vosh mentally swore. She was a curious one that was for sure. His fingers flatted on the table as he kept that charming smile across his face. He took a quick sip of his drink as he looked her over once more, though his emerald eyes looked into her eyes for a few moments. Trying to see what she may be thinking just by simpling looking at her. It would look like he was checking her out, by the untrained eye.

"You could call me that, yes. I get paid to kill people time to time."

His hands moved around the glass, spinning it on the table, Vosh wasn't a bad looking man. Though his face had a few major scars. One from his Jaw to his cheek, another against the left side of his lips. (Though, why would she be looking at his lips? That'd be the real question.)

Evelyn motioned to the bartender for another drink and leaned in towards Vosh with a half, devilish smile, flirtatiously trying to get more information out of him.

"And what kind of librarian kills people from time to time?"

She crossed her legs a bit tighter to feel the small blaster strapped and concealed along her thigh. She didn't think it would be necessary, but feeling it there gave her some reassurance.

Vosh leaned back in his chair, her getting closer caught him off guard. He felt his wrist. There was still a few darts left. Good. But.. he didn't want to. This woman was nice, she seemed kind and she loved books! He didn't want to do anything, yet knowing those darts were still loaded. Gave him a feeling of.. empowerment. So he grinned back. He would play her little game, leaning in next to her.

"One who is damn good at his job... and.. for the right price.."

He two was getting rather flirty with the woman. His tone almost.. flirtatious like. He put on a charming smile once more. It'd take a lot to get info out of him. More less his real job. Though.. this woman, seemed to have an iron will. This night became a whole lot different.

"What about you? Evelyn. Such a pretty name, I might add. What is a girl like you. Doing for work?"

"I'm a bounty hunter," she said flatly, pulling away again and taking a long sip of her new drink. "I don't kill people, not usually. I track people, I outsmart them, I capture them. I get paid to bring justice where the Republic or the Sacred Band or even the Mandalorians cannot," she paused, "or at least that's how it should be... ideally. The war has... complicated it all. I've seen the Sith do some... remarkable... and terrible things. And not even just the Sith, but the organized crime and violence, the underground of the galaxy, it's reach is everywhere." she paused again and looked away, "And the galaxy is a big place. There still a whole lot of it not even mapped. We can't even get to whole sectors without risk of running into some star's gravity well. It just seems... like wasted space right now. The things we could find, the resources. We don't even need fighting this war.... It's all just out of order... I'm sorry, I'm rambling."

Vosh almost got lost in listening to the woman, he kept watching her movements, how she spoke. Her own voice was calming to him. He a dumb smile across his face. hearing bits and peices of the speech. The thing that caught his ear was "Mandalorians Cannot" Vosh frowned at her statement. But only for a second. Highly unnoticeable. His fingers ran across the rimming of his glass as he looked at the liquid. He let out a heavy sigh as his eyes focused on her. He tapped her cheek with his hand hoping she'd look at him.

"What we do, is for the greater good. Us Bounty Hunters gotta stick together."

Evelyn was taken aback, almost startled. She shifted in her seat. A flutter went through her bones. She frowned for a brief moment, and pulled back. Vosh Deo... She mulled over the man's name in her head. Something wasn't right. "Us bounty hunters? So you're a hunter? But I've never heard of you."

Vosh grinned a he leaned back in his chair. Leaning his cheek against his knuckles looking at her. His green eyes almost shining as he spoke. He was more than happy to explain.

"The best around are unknown, I'm more of a..Private bount hunter."

He gave her nose a playful flick.

"Say, we could always go on a hunt together. What do yah say?"

Evelyn couldn't help but blush. It had been a long time since she had this kind of interaction. She smiled, but there was still something unsettling about the man. Now, he was offering to go on a hunt together? That was unlikely. But then again, finding good work was difficult these days. If anything this would be a good networking opportunity. "Hmm, yes. Maybe we could, maybe we could." she brushed her hair behind her ears with her fingers.
