⟣◈⟢ 02::18::13 ⟣◈⟢ Introducing Part II of the Veritas Conspiracy and the sequel to the Zero Factor RP, Beyond the Void takes place three months following the terrorist attacks upon the DSC Daedalus. This thread will eventually act as the OOC, and the date listed is the working projected start date.
⟣◈⟢ 02::19::13 ⟣◈⟢ I believe I'd mentioned this before, but in case I didn't, I'll take this time to (re?)announce this second installment of the Veritas Conspiracy is in line with a planned trilogy, and by the end of this and beginning of the third arc, will take RPers to a place never-before visited in the Star Wars RP. Right now, the basics of Beyond the Void are established, but it won't really be fleshed out until after the conclusion of the Sector 339 Daedalus Event. Any RP characters who'd participated in Part I, Zero Factor, are given priority and free to participate in Beyond The Void if they so choose, as well as the third and final installment of the Veritas Conspiracy, The Darkest Frontier. (WORKING TITLE) Otherwise, other willing RPers will take their place.
As is, Beyond the Void is expected to be a four-player RP story, and again preferably characters of differing or even conflicting professions. This is to highlight an underlining theme to be represented over the course of the Veritas Conspiracy series that no one side can stand alone against the unknown enemy, particularly the Jedi and Sith Orders, but just as much the Galactic Alliance and Sith Imperium (and effectively, even the Chiss and Mandalorians). As a forewarning, by the time of the ending of Beyond the Void and beginning of The Darkest Frontier, events will unfold which can potentially supersede the general safety net of "No Deaths" during the story, depending on your own character's actions and how you respond to particular unfolding situations. It will pay to think twice... or thrice (lol).
Unlike Zero Factor, Beyond The Void will be more player driven and possess less NPCs. However, the story will still be driven toward key objectives in line with the main plot, so there will still be direction and NPC figures helping to "guide" the story. In addition, throughout and especially near the conclusion of Beyond The Void, there will be major revelations about the unknown enemy, such as the dark figure that attacked Daedalus months prior. But instead of being chiefly story driven, individual PC characters will be the opportunity to ask any question concerning the plotline and thus what you ask will determine your knowledge, or ignorance, upon the beginning of the third arc. As a reminder, it will be a one-time-chance, and questions regarding the plot will then no longer be answered ICly or OOCly, so make em good!
⟣◈⟢ 03::01::13 ⟣◈⟢ As an announcement to whom it does concern, a storytelling mesologue for the Veritas Conspiracy will be released to bridge the interval between The Zero Factor and Beyond the Void, entitled Logos of Shadows. Logos of Shadows will not be a roleplay event, but a brief interlude to bring everyone up to speed as to why the Watchman calls on the "old team", specifically the events which happen just before the RP is to take place. It is also to help to relay not just how entrenched the mysterious forces are in the galaxy, but why the Watchman is becoming more and more desperate (and, frankly, with damn good reason) for an advantage, even if only the slightest.
Logos of Shadows will also establish some of the NPCs and characters that will play role in succeeding Beyond the Void, including one who was alluded to by the Watchman at two separate points during The Zero Factor, where he had at least two cells searching for a specific woman, as mentioned near the end of two megaposts.[1][2] Logos of Shadows will most likely be released in two-to-three weeks, just a short while before Beyond the Void will take off, and will also mark the official sign ups, assuming everyone is still able by that time. Look forward to it!
