The Toxic Stinger

Description:

Grip is designed to fit comfortably in the users hand. On the right side of the gun above the trigger is a pull switch which changes the gun between toxic and stun. This pistol fires Feef darts capable of paralyzing carbon life forms but useless against species that are immune to it and aquatic life forms such as Gungans, Selkath, Iyra, Akwain, and Aquar.

*Features:
  • Powered by exposure to Solar Energy (Thermal-powered core)
  • Stun mode
  • Toxic mode
  • Manual reload in Toxic mode
  • Automatic reload in Stun mode

Intent: The Intention with this weapon is to fire a high powered toxic blow dart that puts you in a state of paralysis for 2-9 minutes at a slow firing and reloading rate. It also has a security shock feature which allows you to fire low pulses of electricity only meant to stun and put the opponent in enough pain to be thrown off what there about to do. This is more of a security and sabotage gun.

Who are the black vipers.
the range seems pretty high
also the firing mode seems a bit confusing. semi-automatic, automatic, etc is what firing mode is. how it is reloaded would probably be added into the description or features if its important.

I feel that from a PVP standpoint something like this just isn't going to work.

please explain ( I know the blow dart will put you in a state of paralysis but it says "2-9 minutes" meaning after the duration of time is up the one that got struck with the dart they can choose to wake get up anytime after the two minutes here two examples
1. Dark child aimed at Tray tor and fired a dart in his direction.
Tray tor was struck in the back by the Dart and collapsed in a state of paralysis unable to move.
Dark child gloated and call for a transport to apprehend tray tor.
After 2 minutes of waiting Tray tor unsteadily got to his feet with a exhausted look.
2. Dark child aimed at Tray tot and fired a dart in his direction.
Tray tor narrowly dodges the dart but get cut on his cheek making feel numb with the toxins from the dart.)

Current rules regarding stun-weapons should be applied, or at least heeded here. The rules state that a stun blast has a localized effect, meaning:

1. Torso/headshot = KO
2. Hits to the arms or legs only affect the targeted limb.

well I did give an example if when you get cut in the cheek by it I would call it a head shot so his/her cheek should feel numb. If you get struck in the torso (I also gave an example) you will be paalyzed

What @Jabonicus pointed out where the current rules concerning stun-weapons. As your weapon falls under these parameters, you have to follow them.

I just read the rules what do you want me to add? (from what I know it looks like I'm following them)

Improve on not double posting. Everyone here works and, when you add in different time zones, different work schedules, etc, it can take a while for people to reply at times. Every time you double post or bump after only a few days, your tech gets tossed to the bottom of the pile.

What sort of toxin are we talking about here? How fast-acting is it? There won't be one universal toxin that affects all species. At most you'd be able to affect near-humans as a collective, though I imagine there would be some that are resistant to its effects. So what would paralyze a human might have no effect on a gungan, wookiee, or centaurian.

You're going to need to be more specific than "carbon lifeforms" since that...pretty much covers every living species in the galaxy.

Ok, so, carbon life forms that are immune to poison wouldn't be affected by this anyway so you haven't changed it at all. Give me specific species. Like I said earlier "There won't be one universal toxin that affects all species. At most you'd be able to affect near-humans as a collective, though I imagine there would be some that are resistant to its effects. So what would paralyze a human might have no effect on a gungan, wookiee, or centaurian."

I improved it again. Finding a ton of species that are immune is very difficult so over the time if I find one I'll add it.

You really only met me about a third of the way.
