The Sith Inquisition
.
Because of its prestigiousness, the Inquisition's membership is low, and thus the apprentices or proteges of current Inquisitors have a rank of their own: Acolyte. While they hold no power, they are allowed to partake in some exclusive missions and become an Inquisitor when ready. They are subject to a trial in which their skills are tested, overseen by the High Inquisitor. If there are no open spots, they skip the trial and are instead required to fight their current Master. Due to Darth Malos' principle that killing Sith will only result in division and a weakened Empire, the fights end when one participant has been knocked out. Upon defeat, the Inquisitor's rank is stripped and they are exiled, and their Acolyte takes their spot.
Only the Empire's finest are allowed, and thus there are only 3 ways for one to join:
1. A direct invitation from the High Inquisitor or Empress.
2. A recommendation from any Sith Lord or Master, which will be considered.
3. An Acolyte defeating their Master in combat or taking an empty spot.
The Inquisition's main jobs vary, but all Inquisitors work for one common goal: the expansion and military supremacy of the Empire. Each a cunning tactician, they have a few options when it comes to putting their skills to the test; some Inquisitors specialize in espionage, and use strategy to undermine the enemy's military stability, others prefer to take on a more active role, and plan large assaults while on the battlefield. Along with pushing forth for territory, they also try to bolster the Sith Empire's ranks by searching for and taking in Force sensitive youth to be trained and sent out into the field.
They all respond to the High Inquisitor, a Sith Lord, who serves as their commander. He oversees the Inquisition and ensures they are all functioning to their fullest capabilities, while also assigning them fronts to hold.
The Inquisitors address each other through their own system of code names, determined by one's gender and the time they joined the Inquisition (i.e. First Sister, Fourth Brother).
History
The Sith Inquisition's history is not very long, since they were only recently founded, and are currently still on the rise. The earliest known mention of them was by Darth Malos, in a conversation with Darth Kravos. The former Templar was speaking of the possibility of a new sect, tasked to serve as the Empire's most elite troops. Since then, he has kept his eye out for capable candidates and invited them into the Inquisition, as well as keeping tabs on rising Knights.

Intent
The Sith Inquisition is partly based on its canon counterpart, tweaked to serve as a good possible spot for characters that would have been Templars. It is also meant to be a group of higher leveled PCs that can take on more delicate tasks for the Empire, resulting in larger payouts.
