Ooc: phone post.

After the grenade and blasterfire, Raz assumed the lizard had the scientist under control. She glanced back to see the idiot from earlier still engaging the starweird, as it was apparently literally no one could get anything done around here. With a growl, she stashed her pistol away and ignited the saber she had on her.

Raz had saved the wire from earlier and activated her jetpack as the Force user attempted some flames. Raz zoomed up around the creature that was clearly focused on rushing the man and unleash its full fury. The Mand’alor pressed the wiring against the creature to stop it from going completely intangible from behind again. Before the creature could react, Raz did a horizontal sweep with the saber to lop the head clean off and hopefully completely kill one of these problematic things for good.

The Scientist was an unquestionably intelligent man, scientist and alchemist. He even had some skill with traps if he were to say so himself - but there wasn't any kind of way to outsmart a concussion grenade going off right beside you and even less of a way to out-think being shot at.

Without any way to avoid either of the attacks, the Scientist ate the two blaster bolts and slumped over dead. His goals would remain a mystery as no one had actually bothered to press him on why he had done any of what he had done.

The starweird combating Victress knew that death was to come for it today but, like most creatures of the Dark, it was a disgustingly selfish thing. Even as the flames began to obey the Sith Lord again, the starweird manipulated the Force it had sent forward with the Scream. Rather than break it's attack, Victress had taken the attack head on and let the Force wash over her without disipating, allowing the starweird to keep it's control. The Force would latch onto Victress and with every ounce of it's strength, the starweird would lunge forwards as it pulled the Sith Lord towards it.

Even with some of her attention on defense, Victress did not have the raw power to completely nullify the entire Force strength of the starweird and the distance between them was shortened by it's manic charge forwards. It's goal was simple; the flames would converge on the centre of the starweird but by the time they reached it's core, Victress would be within it's embrace, facing the onrushing flames and their hunger as well.

It would not go quietly, nor lonely, into the night it cried through the Force!

The starweird combating Levi was frustrated. The Jedi was a strange little creature - it attacked and yet it did not. It seemed so very interested in keeping it solid without attacking in a way that actually mattered if it were solid or not. Narrowing it's eyes, the starweird didn't do anything to stop it's solidity as it lunged with it's claw.

As Levi committed to his counter attack of Force fire however, the starweird sprung it's trap. From the tips of it's claws lightning forked out towards Levi's head. As the Jedi had not defended himself or prepared to defend himself aside from his counter attack, it would be near impossible for him to avoid the attack and all the implications that came from suddenly taking Force Lightning of comparable strength to a Sith Lord directly to the head. The fire would hit but the starweird cared not - it would let it's arm burn for the chance to fry the Jedi's brain and eyes and all the rest of his head.

And then things went very badly for it - the Manda'lor had managed to turn her attention away from the Scientist to bring her skill to bear against it. Without being able to see her action, it wasn't able to react in time before the lightsaber cut through it's solid body, cutting it's head clean off. Levi would still have to deal with the lightning but there would be no devastating follow up attack from the now headless starweird.

Levi saw the starweird go for the lunge and knew from the moment the first wave of fire reached it that the creature didn't care about his attack. Therefore, he did what he had planned to do from the very beginning if his attack didn't work out: he dived to his right side, his entire body throwing itself as far away from the starweird as possible, his hand in front of him, a Force shield ready to absorb anything coming his way.

The lightning would blast the spot where he had previously been, uselessly fading away as the starweird died, and even if it didn't, his shield would dissipate what it could. No matter what, it wouldn't hit his head.

If he successfully defended himself from its attack, he would rise from the floor, looking around the room and finding it had fallen silent as all opponents were wiped out.

After a quick check to make sure he wasn't sporting any unseen injuries, he'd head into the room where the scientist was. They still needed to find an exit.

Darth Victress did not falter in light of her opponent's resolve, a rather smirk of amusement crept on her lips as she relished in the continuation of dark sided combat. The flames obeying her command, bending to the will of the Sith Lord and converging with their hunger on the injured Starweird. As her armored figure stood its ground against the brunt of the force scream, she felt a sudden tug and force pull in the other direction. It seemed the monster wished to die a martyr rather than a horrid conjuration of space filth, how fitting she thought to herself.

Its counterpart had fallen, and
Darth Victress intended to complete the job with this one. When the force pull initiated, she offered little resistance against it, and rather welcomed the tug forward into the Starweird's deathly embrace. However, as the distance between them closed rapidly, her left hand fanned open to allow the hilt of the Fallen blade to flow into her grasp. Quickly, she thrust the hilt forwards, igniting the plasma blade in concert with the forward motion towards the monster's chest. As the starweird was being damaged by the scorching flames and focused on the force pull while also moving towards her, Darth Victress was confident it should have no viable defense against her stab. Her prepared force powers unleashed in her right hand as she carried out this attack; A shimmering blue bubble was evident around her ebony armor, a force barrier that protected her against the the harmful elements of her flames and solidified her position onto the ground. By this time, she hoped the fire and her lightsaber thrust would have ended the threat.

The lizard finally got rid of the scientist and didn't take his time to approach his corpse and grab the sword, quickly realizing that it was probably effective against the Starweirds, deciding to hold both the lightsaber and the blaster to use that sword more effectively. When he headed out of that room and back into the fight, however, he could only see fire and lightning coming at the jedi and sith, the creatures almost finished but trying to not die alone. Sunverkh would die if he tried to stab one of those things with the sword now, that was for sure. So he would wait until he had an opportunity to strike and one of the Starweirds were somehow alive.

If they weren't, however, Sunverkh would simply head back to the scientist room and investigate, still holding the sword in his hands and probably taking the soundproof helmet out to discuss with the others if they wanted to. He didn't find much valor in the sword and didn't even think the others would let him have it, so he would go and try to find something of use and more profitable in there.

Raz landed back on the ground after decapitating the starweird. She rushed back towards the room with the scientist, spotting that the man and his henchmen were dead. She wasn’t entirely concerned about his death, but she would still collect any journals and datapad he had. Scientists were notorious for logging everything about their experiments so they would be able to extract information even with him dead.

She didn’t bother looking for an exit, leaving it to the others. She was focused on opening drawers and cabinets to look for any data that the scientist collected. She would take that information and hand it off to someone significantly smarter than her to sort through. Even being out of danger, she didn’t want to deal with this bullshit again.
