The Senator's stripes

"Slow down, wookie. We're on the same side, so let's stay on the same page." Kaern growled back to Yong Ki as his gaze glanced past the bodyguards facing him and to the large walking carpet. Rushing these negotiations would only make the senator wary of their dealings, was what Kaern feared.

"So, as the wookie said, we can do fifty, for a much larger order should these fighters fit our needs." Kaern spoke as he crossed his arms.

 

[Mad Dog]

"These fighters will more than fit your needs.. They are top of the line, most excellent fighters you'll get anywhere, and fifty percent going rate is an outrage and insulting. I don't usually offer these ships for less than ninety percent. I had made the assumption that there would already be a large order of ships, as a result I have already lowered my asking price to seventy percent." The Senator said with quite a bit of an angered undertone.
"Delivery can be almost instantaneous, as all my ships are equipped with their own hyperdrives, and I will have each one set with an astrodroid. However, because of the previous mentioned number being so high at three hundred, it will take a bit, as removing such a number of ships would be quite obvious, I do have one hundred and fifty on hand that can be sent immediately. I will expect payment to be made in two installments up front at sixty percent of the total sales value followed after delivery with the remaining forty percent."

 

[Rorren]

"Hmph. 70% is too much, 50% is too little. We will pay 70% for your first fifty then...and can raise our budget to allow to pay for the other two hundred and fifty if we are satisfied. Starting around sixty percent price." Kaern offered then as he shifted his gaze between the guards, but his visor stayed forward locked on the senator.

"Well gentlemen, I believe we may have come to an understanding here." Paris said taking a step toward Kaern,"To clarify, seventy percent going rate for the first fifty ships, and sixty percent for the following two-hundred and fifty. Upon my return to Kuat, I will dispatch all one-hundred and forty-five remaining ships in my storage, provided the payment is delivered prior to my departure here tonight." Paris then extended a hand to Kaern,"Deal?"

Kaern simply nodded, however he did not extend his hand, nodding over to the wookie instead.

"I came here to help the negotiation, not instigate it. You have to shake his hand." Kaern told the senator then. It would be interesting to see how the senator would teact to the task. Though confident enough to come out and meet them all face to face, it was only with his overkill robot, three 'personal preference' bodyguards, and 'intimidating' mutt. Kaern knew thiugh able to appear to have a backbone, this man was a skittish weasel when it came to danger.

I will authorize the transfer, said Yong Ki. Holding out his hand he said "Codes please," with the electronic chip in hand the Wookie walked to his ship.

Once the data pad confirmed the transfer of the first batch of credits, Paris shook the hand of the massive Wookie. He'd never touched a Wookie before, and was likely to never do it again. "Very well gentlemen, good doing business with you." all codes for the ships currently there as well as the ones that would arrive soon were transferred and the Senator boarded his Executive Cruiser quickly with his defense force and they flew out of the warehouse, the Bantha roaring by to collect them and flying out of orbit where it hit hyperspace and was gone.

Kaern just smiled to himself as he walked out and off towards his landing pad in order to leave back to their base, thinking if nothing went wrong or changed, that this very much a success.
