The Planetary Govenor

We just took orbital station above Terminus. While the operations were still ongoing planet side Jacien was confident that a positive result would occur. Opening her mic Jacien said, "Control have the Borgnine meet me in an open hanger." " Captain, Hangar 44 is available." came the response. Icerider to Cade meet me at hangar 44 we will be conducting negotiations on board the Borgnine." Cade was already waiting when she arrived at the hanger. Before they could even start a conversation the hanger door began opening to admit the Borgnine, Jaciens Hunter class gun ship. Looking at Cade Jacien said," I guess we are up." The cargo door opened even as the ship touched down. 15 of her Besalisk crew walked down the ramp as she and Cade entered the ship. Nodding over her shoulder at the departing crew, Jacien Said, " They will bulk security until things are settled." The ship then immediately took off again. Continuing to lead the way Jacien said, "They will be in the cafeteria." Opening the locked door Jacien allowed Cade to enter first. She then entered and removed her robe, allowing the Governor and other officials to see her belts and light saber hilts. Approaching the Governor she said, "Sir I am Jacien Icerider we have a matter of some urgency yet to handle." "The planetary fleet is still in Hyperspace and I need you to transfer your Administrative Override to me before they return," Continued Jacien. Holding up her hand to prevent him from interrupting Jacien then said, "I'm sure they have your Biometric scans and certainly have enough voice samples to eventually break your voice authorization, They have none of mine and know nothing of me." This will prevent them from using the fleet against the station and your planet, moer importantly it will keep your people safe." finished Jacien. "You are the Jedi who freed us?" asked the Governor. "Yes I freed you," said Jacien. "Ok," said the Governor. Walking over to the bank of computer screens Jacien said, "Activate computer." As the computers sprang to life Jacien said, "accept new voice print for level 2 access, Governor Discan Place." "Govenor Discan Place one alpha six two blue zero." said the Governor. Voice print accepted piped the computer. "Terminus planetary information system transfer administrative control of all planetary fleet ships to Jacien Icerider." said the Governor who then pressed his hand against the screen and said, "Place authorization five year hitch yellow." Jacien then touched the screen and said, "Icerider discordant orange blue act spice."

Cade sat back, decently quiet. Even though he, and the rest of his species, has mastered haggling he felt that these "negotiations" weren't really negotiations as they had liberated the planet terminus from their oppressors and they were in no position to deny the offer of the Kjlljk Protectorate.

After approximately five minutes of issuing orders and commands at the computer Jason turned to the governor and pointed at a table and said "why don't we sit "" first thing first "said Jason ,"I will brief you on everything that we have going on right now then I will tell you about the thing there's nothing you can do about but to agree and then will get to the fun stuff"
"Early this morning we started evacuating the families of all of the senior government officials that we could locate they are all now at a safe location." We have taken the space station and installed temporary security detail. We are claiming all equipment and ships associated with this as war prizes." We have seven different captain business people and more landowners involved at this counter coupe," Most of them are going to want one thing and or another I don't think that you'll find any other requests objectionable especially since it was their lives and their ships in their crews that they were willing to trade in order to free you and yours ."

Cade walked away momentarily to take a quick lap of KIK-Dust and returned with three glases of whiskey, one for each of them, before taking his seat at the table. He'd been on ships this size, some even larger, but he mostly just saw a lot of wasted space. He supposed that a crew this size would need it's own space of course, However this seemed to be a little bit in excess. Sitting back Cade took a large drink of his whiskey while the besilisk continued her "Negotiations" on behalf of the Protectorate.

"I do have one question for you before we start what is the size and complement of your planetary fleet ,my communications officer advised that you had transferred to command codes for two frigates Four Corvettes a supply ship and 65 starfighters does that sound correct to you?" Asked Jacien

The Governor's gave scrunched a bit perhaps indicating that he regretted transferring domain over his fleet to this unknown force, The Kjlljk Protectorate, but made no mention of it,"That sounds about correct, I couldn't begin to tell you the exact names or classes of each ship though, as I don't usually deal directly with them outside the fact that we do indeed have two decent frigates and the four corvettes under our domain.."

Cade having accessed the files himself,"It appears you have two Maurader class Frigates, both standard in their outfitting. Along with a pair of Shukala-Class Heavy Corvettes, sistered to a pair of CC-12 Picketing-class Corvette. Your star fighter fleet files are less than organized, and calculating the number of each was difficult.. but it appears that forty-five are of the N-51 Nova-class Starfighter design along with twenty that are a rag-tag mashup of multiple designs." Cade took a deep breath "I'll need a moment to decipher the total list." He finished looking at Jacien.

" I know that you are concerned but we are also heavily invested into this we put everything we have into returning your planet to you we're also looking at other ways to finish breaking up this crime syndicate so that it will never be able to do something like this again in this sector or the surrounding sectors. He said Jason. We to that and have come up with a plan, said Jacien. First I will present you with our outline then you can try to poke holes at it and eventually we will come to an agreement as to the amount of your participation.finished Jacien.

Cade maintained his attention on his file sorting, shaking his head every now and again at the ridiculous lack of organization within the files of planets fleet roster.

After a few minutes he finally spoke after sighing deeply,"Finally... Ok we have six RG-5 Starfighters, three Orb-Walkers, and... Eleven NX-3 Starfighters four of which are down for repairs annnnd for some reason catalogued under star fights is a single CZ-PCT01 PriceCorp Tanker 01" after finishing Cade stood up finishing his glass of whiskey and walked away to retrieve another for himself, returning with the bottle as well.

Smiling Jacien thought he sure is dogged. Here is our proposal first is that we are creating a protectorate all planets that fall within our jurisdiction will receive our services as both a interplanetary police force and as a military should outside force attempt to encroach upon this territory. We will be autonomous from the planetary government and just as the planetary government will be autonomous from us we reserve the right to interfere in planetary business only to the extent that it takes to regain positive control of the situation. For the most part we act as a tournament crime both planet side and there are space lanes said Jason Second we reserve the right to call up all planetary fleets to assist in the event of a significant military action. Third each planet will be taxed to the extent that it is capable of either in manpower services material or in some cases cash for which to pay the troops on each planet we will maintain a small embassy of less than five people most of our attention will be on space

The Governor, moderately persuaded with the thought of an additional police force to aid his planet,"This all sounds pleasing, and in the best interest of Terminus, as well as our surrounding systems." Although he sounded ernst in his statement, a bit of confusion was quite clear from his facial expressions.

"Also.." Case interjected,"Our embassies, which will be placed on each planet in our jurisdiction, will act independently of and in conjunction with the planetary government. And your planet, Terminus, will actually be a special case in the Protectorate, as we have planned to being operating a research and manufacturing facility planet-side operated by The Kjlljk Protectorate, along side Astora-arms. You will benefit from this of course as it will provide employment to those living planet-side with the capabilities need by the Corporation."

"What sort of manufacturing is to be done on my planet?" The governor asked in a surprised and perhaps even a little displeased tone.

"The Kjlljk Protectorate will be operating a number of different manufacturing processes, however currently, it has been decided that the major product to be manufactured on Terminus is to be star ships. As such The Kjlljk Protectorate will be creating The Kjlljk Protectorate Drive Yards based solely on Terminus."

After hearing the words Star Ships the Governor was suddenly much more interested in joining the Protectorate, already contemplating the vast riches this business would bring his planet.

Now here will be the hardest thing for you to swallow we want to keep the orbital station as our main base of operations both for training and field operations, you would still have access and it would still work as a free-trade zone as it is right now the only difference would be we would have a section of our own for training and recruiting, in return we will supply all security for the entire station. furthermore added Jacien. there may be some rearrangement of the current occupants and additional construction adding to the space station so that it will meet and fit our needs

Cade, sat there filling his glass for the fourth time. He believed the majority of the conversation had been taken care of,"So Governor, up next is that The Kjlljk Protectorate would appreciate any contributions to The organization, as anything given to the Protectorate is used to defend it's jurisdiction."

Hmmm, breathed the Governor," so far everything has been pretty one sided. So here are my terms," went on the Governor, War prizes ok,Space station and fleet ok, I want every real gang member dead not recruited, Mercanaries and kids you can keep. I get 5% of the first 5 years profits and10% after that of the ship yards, said the governor.

Smiling at the attempt the Governor was making at grasping straws,"The Profits of the Kjlljk Protectorate Drive Yards are non-negotiable, However they will pay applicable taxes and fees for maintaining the foundry and manufacturing plants. I can however offer the imprisonment or death of any future captured ' Gang Members ' who of course do not enlist in the cause of the Kjlljk Protectorate." Cade finished taking another large drink of his whiskey, even for a being standing just over three feet tall, Cade could hold his liquor.

The Governor began to squirm in his seat a bit, Knowing he was not in a position to make demands,"I.... I... Suppose I can agree to that.." he stated in a weak voice.

"I know it seems very one sided right now but it will become better as time goes by." Said Jacien. "There will be multiple opportunities for you and your planet profit, " finished Jacien.

"To summarize, your planet is the first of many to join the Kjlljk Protectorate's jurisdiction. Terminus will receive special attention as it will become the center of the Kjlljk Protectorate's training, manufacturing, and commerce." Cade completed his statement while finishing his glass of whiskey before standing up.

The Governor seemed very reassured and could even be seen as content to join the cause. After only a few minutes more of conversation, the Governor agreed to all terms and conditions of joining the Kjlljk Protectorate, not that he had a choice.

"This sounds like it's going to become a wonderful relationship." The Governor said correctly.

"Indeed, anything else Jacien?" Cade asked the Besilisk before he would usher the Governor out of the room, to converse with his negotiations partner for a moment.

"No that will do for now, if you have any questions feel free to bring them up," said Jacien. "Feel free to use the com most of your family's have been moved to safety, we will be there in a couple hours so you can rejoin them." Finished Jacien

After the Governor left the room, Cafe took out a small vial and poured a small spiral of KIK-Dust and licked it up."Well Jedi, I think we can mark that one as a win. You know if he hadn't of agreed what would of had to of happened right?" Cade then took what was left of the whiskey bottle and began walking toward the front of the ship."Where are we headed after dropping him off?"

"We will head back to the station and wait for my new fleet to show up." Said Jacien. "We will then finish off this syndicate," continued Jacien. "So you had probably get ready for a trip to Polis Massa." finished Jacien.
