Open to all Jedi

Lucian was enjoying Tython.

It was a nice change of pace from Brighthome and the Force here was almost humming considering how it had been repaired recently. Healed if you will. It was a lovely feeling and he enjoyed being on the planet.

Equally, he enjoyed the planet because it was so incredibly open and free.

There were new temples being rediscovered and opened and the like but other than that the entire place was just... free. He was currently repairing and running tests on a squadron of Liberator-Class starfighters that he and some other Jedi had brought on over from Brighthome.

Using the speakers of one of the starfighters, he was playing music as he waited for the tests to be done, humming along and doing a few twirls as he thought about what he was currently doing.

If the tests came back alright he was going to have to test-fly all of these ships through the skies of Tython... and he could hardly wait.

These ships were impressive, far more sleek and powerful than any such ship that Albert had used over a decade ago. While not the best pilot in the Jedi, he had flown his fair share of starfighter missions and knew his way around a cockpit. He didn't know the full story of where these ships had come from nor who the pilots would be, though he could tell from the care that was going in to their maintenance that whoever it was cared deeply for them and their operational status. Had the Jedi managed to gain an ace pilot, perhaps? That could be very useful, considering the technological might that the Empire was amassing. They seemed to concentrate on larger capital ships, which a well-placed fighter squadron of proper skill could take down. There was a weakness to every combat force, the trick to victory was mitigating the weaknesses while maximizing the strengths.

"I can see you care greatly for these fighters. I've not seen their like before. If it is not classified, what can you tell me about them? I can almost feel their desire to fly from here." As he spoke to the man handling the maintenance, who seemed to have similar aesthetic choices as the Arkanian did, Albert began to look closer at the chassis of the fighters and their weapons systems. He didn't touch, as he didn't have the man's permission to do so and he respected those kinds of boundaries. His monocle flashed as he changed his angle of view, though, to get in as much of the fighter as he could. What he saw was impressing him more and more, perhaps whatever the man could tell him would increase that impression further.

Vixur hadn’t returned to the Jedi homeworld in months, but even so, he was astounded by the change in the planet. The light side positively permeated every being, plant, and stone, from the tallest temple to the smallest ant. It made him feel light, buoyed, in a way he hadn’t felt in decades.

The Clawdite, in his original form currently, was quietly meditating in his quarters, centering himself for the day ahead. That was, until, some obnoxiously loud noises infiltrated his consciousness, dragging him out of his state of contemplation. Cracking open an eyelid in annoyance, the Jedi Shadow reluctantly stood, exiting his comfortable quarters into the slightly spartan hallway. Tracking the source of the noise eventually lead Vixur to the hangar bay, where two more Jedi stood, one performing maintenance on a wing of advanced starfighters while the other was admiring his work.

The Knight walked over, joining the small congregation. “Afternoon,” was all the Clawdite would say for the moment. The alien’s eyes roamed the fighter, noting the speed lines and weapons bays the ship offered. It made his ship look like a big fat barge in comparison, he had to admit. Maybe he should try to get one for himself sometime, such a fighter might be useful with the Sith growing bolder by the day.

[First post so its not amazing. Sorry!]

Lucian stopped what he was doing as soon as he realised that he was no longer alone - dancing around a bit when you were having fun repairing your ship was all well and good but when you were no longer alone it was just unseemly. Or at least that was what he had been taught at the academy. Since his academy training hadn't steered him wrong yet, Lucian was happy enough to follow it and fall back into his more tightly regimented, formal, behaviour. He nodded to Albert Penumbris... a knight who was known throughout the Order,

"I was taught to respect every piece of equipment I am given care of." he admitted easily before shaking his head, "Not classified at all - simply a very lovely design. These beautiful ships are examples of the Liberator-Class Starfighter. They are the pride and joy of the Jedi station Brighthome."

Seeing the other knight's desire plainly, Lucian managed a ghost of a smile,

"They won't bite." he joked lightly, "Treat them with respect but please - satisfy your curiosity."

Seeing the Clawdite Jedi approach, Lucian bowed his head to his fellow knight,

"Afternoon." he greeted him simply, noting the way both of the knights were looking at the ships before adding, "My maintenance is almost done - just completing this operating system checks - and once it is I was looking to test fly them. Would either of you be interested in piloting a ship each?"

Stepping out of the transport ship, the Raven haired Master scratched at the nape of her neck. Her vibrantly glowing Ice blue eyes scanning over the recent shipment of medical supplies that had been transferred from Brighthome, counting and identifying the various crates and pallets that had been unloaded. Biting her bottom lip the Jedi Healer sighed as she looked down to her holopad, there were a few key items missing from the latest delivery. Turning her attention away to one of the Jedi knights who was unloading the ship, the raven haired Jedi paced over and gently tapped him on the shoulder "Has a small wooden crate been unloaded?" She inquired casting a soft smile to the young knight. "Addressed to Master Halan" she added, perhaps somewhat unnecessarily, given that all the medical shipments so far from Brighthome had been in plasteel containers the wooden crate would stand out like a sore thumb in comparison.

The young knight thought on the the contents of the cargo hold for a moment before nodding. "Yes Master Halan, your crate is in the hold, we're still to unload it though" he spoke lightly. Looking down to her vibrating wrist device the raven haired Master read the response before smiling warmly as she nodded. "Thank you, the crate can wait for the time being, please see that the medical supplies are transfered to the Halls of Healing first, the crate if you could transfer to my quarters it would be greatly appreciated" she responded before giving the young knight a gentle squeeze of the shoulder and stepped away to leave him to his duties.

Casting a cursory glance to the service droids that were starting to transfer the shipment to the Medical stores, the raven haired master took a deep breath and sighed. She hadn't anticipated the fact that no sooner had she had gotten herself settled in and established herself within the Jedha medical facilities she had found herself doing the same on Tython. Stepping into the duties as the Master within the Halls of Healing on the recently re-established temple, had proved to be a challenge and half, but at the time it was a welcome distraction. The recent fall of the Jedha Temple and the loss of her close friend had been weighing deeply on the raven haired woman's mind, as laborious a task as getting the Temple's healing facilities set up and stocked, it was something that kept Jinlo's mind in more productive places.

Leaving the droids and knights to their devices without any further interference, the Jedi healer opted to walk back towards the temple. Her attention was pulled towards one of the adjacent landing pads, where a small gathering of Jedi Knights were standing around the recent delivery of Star fighters. Her eyes narrowing slightly as she faintly recognized the craft from her various patient transfer runs to Brighthome, it seemed that it wasn't just medical supplies and building materials that was being shipped to the Tython. Slowly she approached the gathered group, her ice blue hued eyes scanning over each of the ones circling around the foremost star fighter. "So Brighthome have parted with some of their favoured Liberators" Jinlo spoke out aloud as she directed her attention towards the blonde haired Jedi Knight, perched over the hull of the ship carrying out what she figured to be pre-flight checks.

Lucian had to admit that as he was getting the ships ready, he hadn't thought that he would have drawn this much attention. He had expected, maybe, some of the Jedi more interested in Starfighters to show up and take a look but so far he had;

Albert - who seemed to admire them in a way that suggested he enjoyed their aesthetic more than anything.

Vixur - who seemed to mostly be here just to wonder what all the commotion was.

And now someone new!

Another person that Lucian knew by reputation alone... Jedi Master Jinlo Halan. He felt her presence in the Force first, cool and calm and slightly cold, before he turned to spot her. Upon spotting her he was a little bit taken aback. He had heard things about Master Halan but no one had mentioned her startling good looks.

She was striking.

"You are striking, Master Halan, I feel it has to be noted." he immediately admitted before a ghost of a smile tugged at his lips, "Probably inappropriate. I apologise."

Bowing his head slightly, he nodded,

"Indeed though - I was fortunate enough to liberate them from their stores with myself so that they may be actively be used in the Galaxy once more."

Turning her gaze down towards her wrist mounted auto scribe as it vibrated to signal that it had picked up some speech, the Raven haired master raised an eyebrow at the knights opening comment. Jinlos head remained perfectly still as her vibrantly glowing ice blue eyes shifted and locked firm with grey hued eyes of the Jedi knight purched over the fighter. Well it seemed to match the knights evident role within the order, a typical star fighter pilot, never really one's to beat around the bush, smooth talking and well... Just the very definition of fly boys! Pursing her lips in thought the Raven haired master continued to read the spoken text being displayed to her, before slowly drawing her full attention onto the Jedi knight, her arms folding across her chest as she maintained her raised eyebrow.

She had heard it all before, mostly it was the pilots that were usually the most forth right, spinning any form of yarn. She was surprised that Lucion hadn't openned with the more angelic looking than a Sky'tri line, that one certainly never got old! Still it seemed he had clocked his comment and was quick to off his apology, which in a way she didn't mind, but there was perhaps a way to tease the knight a little, make him squirm for a little bit first.

"Indeed" The Master Healer spoke simply as a gust of wind rippled through her long ebony locks of hair, her Ice blue eyes remaining fixed with Lucian's "Though I would be more concerned about striking the deck if I were you " she continued, her tone level and without hint of any warmth, before nodding her head towards the closest aft landing strut. "The valve on the hydraulic line to the strut actuator is on reverse flow, as soon as you retract the gear it'll lock up." Jinlo added as a coy smile crossed her features. Antipicating that the Jedi fighter pilot would perhaps be more taken off guard by the observation and the stoic demeanour thst she was pointing it out in "I'd hate to know that I had distracted you from your checks, by being striking " the raven haired master concluded with a chuckle as a warm smile crossed her features as she teased the Knight.

Lucian could see that the other two Jedi were still admiring the ships and he wasn't done with his checks yet so he supposed he was free to just keep talking with Master Halan. It was... well it was hardly a chore now was it? He turned back to her, keeping only a cursory gaze on his datapad and the information on it. He winced a little bit when she mentioned striking the deck and the reason why, glancing at the datapad before sighing.

"And, of course, Dax has masked it on the scanners... training he calls it." he rolled his eyes a little bit as he turned back round to actually fix the issue, "Do you know much about starfighters, Master Halan?"

As he was fixing the issue, he chuckled a little bit but his smile was still a small one but one he didn't often share. He smiled back at her before returning his attention to the ship,

"Well if you had... you would have put me back together, wouldn't you Master Halan? Even back on Brighthome we heard stories about you."

A light chuckle escaped Jinlos lips as she shook her head in response to Lucian's question, the raven haired master was far from adept at controlling a space craft! Having crashed the craft she had used to escape from the corrupting influence after slaying her former master on Prakith, she had developed a fair working knowledge of the ships systems having laboriously bodged the repairs enough to make the ship space worthy enough to make her return to the Jedi Order. "I can't really say i know a great deal about star fighters" Jinlo commented initially before lowering her gaze towards the floor "What i know of their systems is mostly through several attempts to repair the ship i had crashed" she continued as she returned her gaze back to the fair haired Jedi knight.

Turning her gaze down to her auto scribe, the raven haired master narrowed her eyes as the knight spoke about the stories that circulated Brighthome about her. Her face grimaced initially in response to the comment. "I'd hate to ask what you have heard" she retorted, before biting her lip. During her frequent trips to the Jedi space station she knew fine well she had a built a bit of a reputation during her tenure as a Knight. Whether it was the constant failed attempts at piloting a simulated ship in the training simulator, one occasion that had caused the software to crash. The technicians were still at a loss at how she had managed to not only crash the ship but the simulator, advising that she was best staying well clear of a cockpit. Or the countless times she had been found sound asleep in the gardens of the space station, getting a quick rest in between the transit runs escorting wounded between the two temples.

"But if its my healing abilities you are referring to then perhaps...." the raven haired master continued before tailing off mid sentence, cutting herself short. Knowing all to well that she was regressing a little back into her pre Jedi days. "Then of course, as the senior healer for the temple it would be my responsibility to ensure you get the care and treatment you need" Jinlo concluded, after giving herself a quick mental check to ensure that she didn't conduct herself too informally.

So she didn't have a knack for flying then huh?

Well that was fine - not everyone was interested in flying and even amongst those who were, not everyone was actually any good at it. At least Jinlo wasn't one of those people who thought they could fly but was actually rather dangerous at flight. He chuckled a little bit before shaking his head,

"Well any landing you get to walk away from is something of a happy landing, wouldn't you say?"

Lucian chuckled a little bit and waved off her concerns,

"Nothing bad." he assured her easily before admitting, "It was about your healing abilities mainly. There are stories about Master Halan being able to heal almost any injury... equally there are some stories about how your bedside manner could do with some work but those stories mainly come from the hormonal learners who think healers run around in skirts and such."

He smiled back at her as he finished up the repairs,

"You want to take part in the test flight Master Halan?"

Watching as the blonde Jedi Knight's lips started moving once again the raven haired master turned her gaze away from the blonde Jedi knight and directed her eyes to the auto scribe mounted on her wrist. Her eyes soon rolling at the comment about stories of her bedside manner, originating from the more hormonal of the Jedi's ranks. Sighing lightly she figured it was more to do with the expectation of the healers attire than any thing, after all being a natural empath the Raven haired master was able to attend to her patients emotional state and conduct herself accordingly.

"I would presume it would be their disappointment over our attire" Jinlo remarked as she turned her gaze towards the Jedi pilot once again. "Unlike the various holodramas, healers do not run around in skimpy short skirts with our breasts hanging out of our tunics offering sponge baths to every wounded soldier who comes in" the continued as she gestured towards her own attire, that was much to the country of popular belief comprised of crisp long flowing white skirted robes that dropped down to just above her ankles. Shaking her head as a light chuckle escaped her lips at the thought of such a notion, the idea probably would fulfill the fantasy of many a young Jedi knight and learner who would be coming through the halls of healing. But it would be a complete nightmare for those who had to work there.

Pursing her lips in thought at the offer to pilot one of the fighters, the raven haired master quietly mused over the prospect. Her gaze moving away from Lucian and onto the fighter craft themselves, each one of them a single seater. That would make things interesting, especially since each time she had been in control of a space craft she had crashed it. "I don't know..." Jinlo spoke out, her words trailing off with a sigh. "I know those fighters controls are very.. sensitive" she continued, her brow furrowing at the conflict in her mind, as much as she had watched the fighters patrol around Brighthome, noting how sleek and agile they were. To have the thrill of such speed and maneuverability at her control, was at the least tempting. But the rational side of the Jedi Master knew that there was every likely hood she was that inept at piloting. "Did Brighthome supply us with a training model, you know the two seater, I'm not to confident flying by myself" Jinlo admitted, as she panned her gaze back over the lined up ships to see whether there was such a craft.

Yes well when young men and women were all hormones it made sense that anything other than their fantasies felt like something of a disappointment he supposed. Naturally, there was nothing disappointing about Jinlo Halan in person and anyone who had actually met her would be able to confirm that pretty easily he thought.

And he probably just made that thought rather visible to her... well, he wasn't lying at all so he didn't feel like rushing to apologise for something that was true as he saw it.

"Yes well, they do so often get upset when fantasy doesn't translate to reality." he admitted with a small sigh, shrugging slightly, "Maybe if they could appreciate beauty beyond the appeal of the flesh then they might be less inclined to feel that way - but they are young. They have time yet to learn what people like we have already learned."

Did they supply them with a training model?

"No they did not." he admitted with a little chuckle, "I'm afraid you would need to fly one on your own. The only modifications these have is that my own is modified for greater cockpit space."

He paused before shrugging,

"With the greater cockpit space you could ride with me." he admitted with a small frown before admitting, "You would be sat on my legs though."

Smiling softly as the Raven haired master read the spoken words flash up on the screen of her auto scribe, she cast a side wards glance to the blonde pilot as she pursed her lips in thought. The Pilot was mature, she would give him that. Despite his upfront nature with his comments over her appearance, there was a respectable sensibility to the man that betrayed the fly boy bravado that often came with those in his line of work. Nodding to the Knight's words she turned her attention back away from her auto scribe to the Knight. "Perhaps one day they will possess such a mature sentiment" Jinlo responded warmly.

Her vibrant ice blue eyes retreated back towards her autoscribe as she felt the device vibrate once again signalling that it was transcribing additional speech into text. Her brow furrowing at the revelation that the fighters that had been delivered were only the standard models, with no tandem training craft provided. A sigh escaped her lips as the closest compromise that was offered was to effectively sit on the Pilot's lap during the flight.

Something with that just didn't sit right with the Raven haired master, particularly the risk that would be involved with her sharing the cockpit designed for a single pilot. Coupled with the potential issues that might arise due to her deafness could lead to disastrous consequences. "It's a Kind offer" Jinlo commented as she returned her gaze back towards Lucian. "But I doubt it would be wise to compromise your safety by giving me a ride" the raven haired master continued as a kind smile crossed her features. "Maybe if Brighthome deliver a tandem model, then I'll take you up on your offer, so I would leave the test flights in your capable hands" she added before pursing her lips in thought, the inner healer within her was starting to raise a few flags.

"Though I would have to request once you have completed your flights, that you and any of the other Pilots who have came in from Brighthome report to the Halls of Healing" Jinlo spoke after a moments silence falling into her own thoughts. "You will soon be transferred into this Temple's care, we would need to ensure that you are all physically fit to be cleared for flight, before we can sign off on your flight tickets" she explained, maintaining the kind expression over her features.

Yes well if they were ever going to be mature enough to express, and believe, such a sentiment then they would need to actually live to reach that age so he was going to have to make sure that the ships were running smoothly. He would really hate to have to send any of them to Jinlo's tender care because they had gotten themselves in a crash after all - he didn't doubt that Jinlo would likely have some idea that it was his fault.

It wouldn't be but, hey, he was the one doing maintenance and a bad workman often blamed his tools as the saying went - he had no doubt the young pilots would complain to the pretty healer that they only crashed because of bad ships or some such rot.

"Well maturity is something I doubt a great many of them shall ever achieve." he noted with a small laugh, "Pilots tend to be a cocky sort."

He wouldn't remove himself from that generalisation although he'd say he reasonably could argue that he wasn't cocky at all. Raising an eyebrow, his pride stirred at the idea that the addition of the Jedi Master would compromise his safety... he took a second to master the emotion and it disappeared quickly. He had had to put that emotion back in it's place on numerous occasions in the past it had to be said.

"I understand." he said instead with a small smile, "I can tell you want to fly though... I'll make sure to put an express notice on the order of a tandem model."

Pausing in his motions, Lucian glanced at Jinlo over his shoulder. A small smile tugged at his lips.

"I'll spare you the jokes you've likely heard a thousand times... what time?"
