History

swtorboth1.jpg

In the years before the Sith empire was ever conceived, when wars with the Hutt Empire devastated the galaxy, a band of mercenary Jedi were formed under the banner of the Luminado Mercenaries. They were a fearsome force, a group of grey Jedi soldiers that carried no true affiliation with the major forces of the galaxy. They were respected by many, and hated by many more. There were divisions in their ranks even, causing civil war and unrest. Many Luminado died trying to fight for what they originally stood for.
Then, there came an unexpected leader who united the true Luminado to stand against the rebels in one last fight to reunite them. The two leaders fought and dueled on the planet of Svivren to the bitter end. Once the battle was over, the one who stood for the just cause won, and the corrupt one faded into his being, creating one man. This man left the Luminado, though, feeling they should choose for themselves who the appropriate leader should’ve been.

For several more years, the Luminado remained under constant changes in their grand general. Many great ones came, but many more corrupt ones as well. Eventually, they disbanded, feeling there was nothing more to gain since their original founder was presumed dead. There came an agreement to disband the mercenaries and relieve their fortresses and ships to the republic.

When he was young, Kale Vanguard was a prominent force sensitive. He was able to use Telekenesis early, and learned how to use the ‘dark powers’ of the force for what was right. He was trained as a Jedi, but left them when he became a knight, feeling the Jedi were too close minded in their belief. He believed the only dark side of the force was how one used those certain powers and how one desired them.

He believed that one shouldn’t be so excluded from anything that makes beings so unique to themselves. He knew the force and had a close connection to it, but also knew that pleasures were something that kept a person going, and that there would never truly be a lasting peace in the universe. He knew the difference in ignorance and acceptance. He knew that sometimes, giving aid to those who needed it was truly helpful, but other times would bring their downfall.

When he first started to notice these things, he left the order in search of something he could use to express the truth of the force. During his deep space travels, he discovered something that no Jedi archive ever explained before; an ancient battleship bearing the symbol of an old faction and the name moriah. Out of curiosity, he boarded and explored the abandoned vessel.

Kale was surprised to see that the ship was still operable and had enough fuel to make it to a nearby planet. When he accessed its’ databanks, he found information on an old faction of mercenaries called the Luminado. He agreed with their view of the force and how they trained its’ members, but not that they needed to do it for credits. He found mercenaries to be barbaric and frowned upon. However, he felt the force was guiding him to this ship, telling him that a new order was to be found; the order of the Luminado.

The Order of the Luminado

Class system

Padawan-knight level classes

Class 1; Luminado farseer – The Luminado farseer are much like the Jedi consular, having a deep connection with the force and focusing their strengths in their force power. They are very proficient with a lightsaber, but are even stronger with their force techniques and abilities.

Class 2; Luminado Heretic – The Luminado Heretic are the weapon masters of the order. They have mastered the art of lightsaber combat and are proficient in almost any weapon type. This class usually shows multiple styles and types of lightsabers, making each heretic unique in their own right.

Class 3; The Luminado Exemplar – The Luminado Exemplar are those who are well balanced and equal in their force power and lightsaber style. They do not overemphasize on any particular point in being a force sensitive. The Exemplar are fearsome warriors, but are also passionate guides and perfect teachers in the order.

Knight-master level classes

Class 4; Luminado Manifesto – the highest master of the farseer class

Class 5; Luminado Outcast – the highest master of the Heretic class

Class 6; Luminado Templar – the highest master of the Exemplar class

The Order of the Luminado

Rank system

Rank 1; Padawan – the starting rank of every Luminado. Has the most basic understanding of the force, force powers, and lightsaber techniques

Rank 2; knight – the most common of ranks. Knights are well rounded in every aspect of the order and their class.

Rank 3; Guard – a step higher than a knight. A Guard has more of a focus in
their class. Luminado earning this rank begin to show more of an individuality as a Luminado and uniqueness.

Rank 4; Lunimaster – A Lunimaster is a master level Luminado. Lunimasters are usually older in age and are the wisest members of the order. They serve as leaders in the order and council members.

Rank 5; Grandmaster – A grandmaster is the head of the order. The grandmaster has mastered all aspects of each class, and is the strongest of the Luminado in their force powers. There is only two grandmasters at a time, to balance powers and avoid singular corruption. It keeps the order from straying from its’ original goals.

Where you in the Luminado Mercinaries in the second time line, I can't recall you? Also I'd like to sign Bartimeus up as a Templar.

Ya. I was. I was the one who made Luminado Mercenaries. And here's how I'm gonna do this to make it more appealing to sign up.

Natise, I'll let him be a templar and he may be a Lunimaster.

The next five people who sign up can start at Lunimaster and have a master level class since we need leadership under the two grandmasters.

But please do read and remember their permissions. I'd like to inspect the profiles before I put them in the memberlist.

And Wiess :CFuuu make ur profile already!

I believe someone should be looking this over before everyone starts making profiles.

This seems just like an excuse to make a higher "level" jedi without having to train. It also looks like a revamped copy of the jedi order, all you really did was change the names. If they disagreed with the way the order did things why would they turn around and copy them? With a name like Luminado, I was expecting something a little more.. assassin creedy? The history seems decent, but I think the battleship will be a problem.

Just some thoughts.

Uh, this is actually a redone version of an older faction I had made. Their goal is nuetrality in the war mostly. And The history will be updated soon because the second grandmaster has finally been made. Plus, the grandmaster isn't any stronger than a Jedi knight. Even then, he doesn't have that many force powers. That, and I also have a Jedi who's going through training.

Filthy neutrals and their inability to choose sides! You all deserve to burn!:CHappy

Not all are neutral. Read Bezhevy Tsviet's profile. It reveals that he's secretly trying to recruit some of the Luminado into the Sith. I wouldn't be surprised if someone else doesn't try to promote the Jedi.
