The Long patrol

Yong KI Firechild was waiting at Terminus station for two members of the Protectorate Zelkien and Zorander all three of the light freighters he had requisitioned were waiting and loaded with probes. Each of the planets in the Protectorate now had 5 WASP's stationed there and the pilots were attached to the planetary defense forces. Now they were going to place probes at close, mid, long, and deep ranges each system would need 100 or so probes. The plan was to set probes to identify any ships entering systems with no or altered transponder codes. Dealing with corsairs and pirates was one of the Protectorates primary responsibilities. The probes would also help identify any incoming ships and or hostile forces. Yong Ki Had worked with Zelkien before and the kid had sacrificed his ship to protect a beleaguered Gree ship. Yong Ki had never worked with Zorander but had heard while he wasn't very imaginative he was steady and got his job done.

When Zelkien landed on Terminus he was given a G5 Rigger Freighter that was loaded with probes. His task was to unload one hundred probes around the four planets of his choosing inside the Protectorate. When Zelkien got to Saijo he made sure that when he fired the probes the probes wouldn't escape the planets gravity or enter the planets atmosphere. After the adjustments he began unloading the probes around the planet. Zelkien thought that waiting a minute after each lunch would allow space for the probes so that they would never come into contact with each other. One hour and forty minutes later all of the probes were in orbit and Zelkien was heading to Anoth.

Zander head's off to the four near by planet system 's to drop off the probes for Yong Ki Firechild

After the other two left Yong Ki got into the last freighter an older ship possibly as old as he was thought Yong Ki. While the other agents were setting up probes around the planetary systems Yong Ki would be placing his around the outer perimeter of the protectorate, after ensuring that the airlock was functioning properly Yong Ki then sat down and entered the coordinates where he wanted to place each of the probes . When he was finally done he allowed the computer to set the fastest and most efficient route. He then completied an inventory on his ship and noticing that there were no food or water on board he went back into the station to requisition enough consumables to last him 30 days shaking His head he figured the other two will eventually figure it out and would have to stop at one of the planets and purchase their own supplies

Zelkien first traveled to the surface of Anoth to inform the Wookies of his mission. After confirming that there was no danger Zelkien went to set the probes. It took him another hour and forty minutes. Before heading to Imynusoph Zelkien decided to do an inventory check to make sure there was two hundred more probes. Zelkien found out that he actually had three hundred probes. Zelkien was about to leave Anoth when his stomach Growled then he realized that he had no food or fluids on the freighter not knowing sure of what to do he contacted Yong Ki.

Zander after helping setting up the probes on Anoth had noticed his stomach growling so he asked the wookies if there was anyone around or place to trade or buy food supplies from around this that was near by

When contacted by his clans men on Anoth about Zorander's request Yong Ki ordered them to advise him that they were not a resupply depot. They could supply him with water but no other foodstuffs and to tell him to go to a more populated location for those supplies. This was the first Protectorate mission that he had had in a long time they did not require him to be constantly encased in his armor and Yong Ki was enjoying it. Allowing the protocol droid to pilot the ship, he returned to pondering the technical issues he was having with his Cortosis shield. His plan was to mount a small grenade sized EMP generator to the shield however he was finding that a solid Cortosis shield tended to have unexpected and widely varying levels of effect. It dawned on him that perhaps he could make a alloy of both cortosis and titanium. It would not hold up indefinitely to a light saber but should provide some protection for at least a short period of time, he was going to have to experiment more when he returned to his workshop on Terminus. The red warning light and buzzer came on advising him that it was time to drop off another probe cycling the airlock he expelled the probe into space and after confirming that it was stable and functioning he reloaded the Airlock and notified his droid pilot to continue to the next location.

When the wookies told Zelkien that they could only provide water he gave them three hundred credits and said thank you. Zelkien knew for sure that the Imynusoph had food so that is were there next stop would be. Zelkien went to the planets surface to inform the Imyni about the probes. He also asked if he could get some food from them. Turned out they were glad to help and gave him seven crates full of Imynusoph fruits. Zelkien said"this will be enough" and gave them three hundred credits as he did with the wookies and went into space. While placing the probes around Imynusoph Zelkien meditated, ate some fruit, and drank some water. When the job was complete Zelkien looked at the map and he noticed a planet outside the protectorate system that could be useful. So he radioed Yong Ki to asked if he could have permission to land on the planet.

OOC : BiggB advises his computer and Phone are both out of service he will attempt to catch up when his equipment is back up.

Yong Ki spent the next 20 days in space always at the very edges of the Protectorate boundary roughly dropping off one probe every hour. He was exhausted the naps between stops were not enough to cure the head ache he was having from the long bout of sleep deprivation. He transmitted he final codes to Protectorate command and wearily climbed into the undersized bed that would leave his legs from the knees down hanging over the end. The last thing he remembered was mumbling to the speaker shut down all non essential systems and do not bother me unless it's an emergency.

Realizing that the radio waves would take to long Zelkien turned off the radio and switched to Holo net he also decided to go to Delrakkin to get one more done. Zelkien fell asleep on the ride there and he awoke when he heard the alarm. Before placing the probes he went to inform Delrakkins of the probes and to restock his supplies. After thirty minutes of disagreement he finally offered them six hundred credits and it surprisingly worked and walked away think what jerks. Zelkien meditated while the next hundred probes were being launched. He thought about his master Jacien and his two friends and what they were up to. "Its been a while since he has seen them" he thought.

Yong Ki, did little other than sleep or eat for the next two days he then sent coordinates back to terminus station upon arrival he headed to the command center to find the status of the probe deployment by his two partners.

Zander finished doing his mission and headed back meet up with Yong KI and the rest of the party. He sends Yong KI a message to let the party know that he's is on his way.

Yong Ki, was informed that Zelkien was overdue and had not reported in since leaving Delrakkien system. Yong Ki then requisitioned it moon class freighter which he then flew immediately to the area in the short time he was able to locate the poorly functioning rescue beacon which Zelkien had activated. After trackoring the ship into his hold he immediately went down to see check the status of the agent. Yonkee found him to be cold but otherwise OK he learned that his ships systems at all malfunctioned at the same moment.Yong Ki then using the moon class freighter completed delivering the rest of the probes so as to complete their network against any possible intrusion by unregistered and or registered ships.

Apon arrival at terminus station Zander go to the command Station were he turns over the transmit codes and locations of all 500 probes he had setup after command confirmed that all probes were operational. Zander then inquired about the status of his mission partners apon learning that Zelkien craft had broken down and to be recovered Zander requisioned a moon class freighter and matinée crew as soon as the ship was ready he left to go do it

Yong Ki caught Zander's transmission and was able to stop him before he entered hyperspace. "Return to port," ordered Yong Ki, "and meet me at command" he finished. Yong Ki then landed his ship and along with Zelkien went to the command center where he delivered the final data on the probe transmission codes and locations. With the last of the data uploaded the system came on line (8 days late) growled Yong Ki to himself. The three dimensional display showed the whole of the Protectorate was dotted with red dots and after a second ping showing they were all on line. Zander arrived and was observant enough to stay by the wall out of everyone's way. Several Probes were then taken off line and the system pinged again, with the offline probes showing errors and maintenance requests were generated. They then waited for the quarter hour maintenance ping which showed the same ones off line. Nodding Yong Ki ordered, "Reset the offline probes." When the off line probes came back on and passed the quarter hour test, Yong Ki nodded and looked to Zander and said, "Agent Zander report to command school, you will be taking over one of the Picketing class corvettes. Get to know it, get your crew trained and replace any you don't like as many times as is necessary to make the crew yours." You now have the Naval rank of Lieutenant Commander as well as that of Agent. when hid translator droid had finished translating Yong Ki turned to Zelkien and said Get that Rigger out of the Moon class freighter, get two maintenance crews and find out what happened, find out why it happened, Then fix the problem and make sure you know and can fix every part of that ship." As Zelkien turned to go Yong Ki took pity on him and said, "By the way the Rigger has been transferred to your name when it is right take it to Spinagher and have whatever weapon and system upgrades you deem appropriate charged to my personal account. The look on the kids face was enough Yong Ki turned back to the command console to complete the set up before contacting Kae Tl. and letting her Know the alarm grid was in place and functioning.

Well he hadn't planned on having to command a Capitol ship, but oh well, If that is where they needed him for now he could live with it, thought Zander. Whapping his arm around the shoulder of Zelkien and towing him from the room He said, "The counselor must really like you, First he gives you a ship then his personal line of credit to make any upgrades you want, Wow!" Shaking his head he said good luck Agent
