The Ithorian Job

t806Vgo_Mygeeto_Picture.JPG

Mygeeto. It was beautiful in a strange way. A planet covered in clouds, mist, barrens, and crystalline formations. It also happened one of the richest banking planets out there. Since the Clone Wars it had been a place where wealth was stored, no wonder in it's history it had changed hands so much. Many Republics and Empires wanted control of it, each conquering or liberating it. Now it was time for another liberation. Not from the Imperium which currently controlled it you understand, but from the vast amount of credits that had to be burdening the poor banking planet. Myn waited in the local, which was empty of everyone save him and the bartender on his payroll. He was waiting for his partner. It was to be a three man job; Myn, a lifetime criminal named Sevik Zane who had pulled jobs like this, and their inside man Baelor Soa. An Ithorian that was famed for fraud, bank robberies, and anything to make a small fortune. Komad Industries was actually looking to make him a permanent addition to their company, he would be a valuable asset. But he was hesitant to join them. So Aden asked him what he would want to work for them exclusively. He said their was a bank on Mygeeto he had always wanted to hit. They carried an unbelievable amount of credits, but he had never been able to put together a team skilled or trustworthy enough to try.

The Mygeeto Prime Vault, a supposedly impregnable bank, was their target. He swore up and down that he could shatter that reputation with only three men. Aden struck a deal, that if they successfully robbed the Prime Vault that he would work for them. He loved credits, sure, but this one was about his legacy. He would be the man who robbed the Prime Vault. So now...here Myn was waiting for the third man. Baelor was already in place at the Vault.

He would wait here, tell the man the plan, and then they would attempt to do what so many in the galaxy believed to be possible. Myn smiled as his tail moved about lazily, "I do love a good bank heist."

He arrived to the destination and proceeded to look for his contact. Not much information was given so he brought his normal arsenal of explosives, his blaster, and his datapad that he himself had modded for all his slicing needs. It was all tucked away in his Duster and hat. He seemed somewhat unremarkable over all, though his silver eyes laughing as he heard his partner speak. "Aye, most folks who know what they're doing are quite fond of them." He said as he aproached.

((Sorry, been uuber busy the last few days. All things are back on track though :) ))

Myn stood up and looked at the man called Sevik. He smiled mischievously, "Well it's a good thing I know what I'm doing then isn't it?"

"Lan, go home. I'll lock up when we're done. We won't be long."
The bartender nodded and left quickly. Myn's catlike eyes fell back on the man. "It's also good we hired someone with experience and we have a professional inside man. I'm the Operator, pleased to meet you Sevik. Your reputation precedes you. As a man of such circles you have probably heard of Baelor Soa. Now, we told you this would be a bank heist but we never told you which bank. What would you say when I said we are going to rob the galaxies most prominent bank, famed for being impenetrable? That's right...we are going to rob the Mygeeto Prime Vault, a job even the most hardened criminal would deem impossible. What do you say to that?"

"I'd say I'll need to hear the plan before I decide if you're insane or not." He said reaching casually across the bar and taking a bottle of correllian fire whiskey. He then reached over and got two glasses, pouring the two men three fingers. He picked his glass up while sliding the other across the bar, enjoying the burn run down the back of his throat. If they were robbing that bank they were likely insane...but insanity and genius often walk with only a thin line between the two. If they actually knew what they were doing, had a man inside, and could get access to the vault, Sevik would walk away from this with a cut of the biggest haul the galaxys ever seen. So, he sat and waited patiently, enjoying his drink.

"Well, I'll give you the bare bones. The plan is fluid to compensate for anything they throw at us. I hope you're a man that can roll with the punches and stay calm if plan a, b, and c fails." Myn took the drink gratefully and downed it in one swallow. He smiled mischievously, "First off; we're going to be wealthy millionaires. At least that is how we will seem. We have the disguises, false bank accounts, and forged references to get us in the door. We have to go in unarmed because they have the best defences, guards, and sensors money can buy. And some it can't! Our man, Baelor Soa, already managed to get weapons in there. He managed to smuggle them in under the guise of them being a new shipment for the guards there. Once we're in as billionaires, Soa will come and distract the man supposed to be talking to us about our funds and why we should invest with the Prime Vault. While Soa has him distracted we will have exactly seventeen minutes to access the restricted area, avoid the best surveillance equipment in the galaxy, not alert any of the highly trained sentries, and hack our way into the armory to retrieve the gear we will need for the job. Then of course we will have get back before they notice our absence and not get killed in the process."

"That's the easy part of course."
Myn said pouring himself another drink. "Once back we will have to listen to some more political and financial babble before they take us to the Central Vault. Once there Soa will stealthily depart to hack and shut down central security. As soon as it shuts down alarms will blare and troops will begin to mobilize. At that moment we wipe out our concealed weapons and lay into anyone in the room who isn't us or an Ithorian. If we survive that we close the three blast doors to the Central Vault and jam the locks. It won't buy us much time, but it will buy us enough. Soa will be back before that if he doesn't get caught by then. We better pray he doesn't because he's the only one that can crack the Eternity Code they have around their system. Supposedly it takes an eternity to crack, but he swears he can do it and I've seen him hack some of our codes. Which is just as tough as the Eternity Code. So I believe him. Once he cracks that, we will have access to trillions of trillions of credits. Unfortunantly...we will only have access for four minutes and twenty-nine seconds. So we will transfer as much as possible to a thousand different proxy accounts. If we aren't dead by then, we have three different escape plans. But they are dependent on the situation so no need to talk about them now."

"During the transfer it will be up to me and you to protect Soa. The blast doors won't stay jammed forever and they have hundreds of soldiers and droids."
Myn sighed as he drank his glass dry. "We even sold them a damn Tank Droid, a walking weapons platform. So that should be fun...so...up for a suicide heist? You think you're good enough?"

He poured himself another drink after finishing the first rather quickly, listening to his new friends proposal. "Well...I think that plans a bit crazy. So crazy in fact that it just might work." He took a long gulp and finished the second glass. "I'd like to hear the escape plans, if that's okay with you." Sevik said, looking the man in the eye. "I'm not going to agree to something that can easily get me killed without knowing what sort of situations y'got prepared for."

"Well, plan A is simple; we blow a hole through the floor and free fall a few hundred feet." Myn shrugged his shoulders with a mischievous smile. "Hope you're not afraid of heights. An automated transport equipped with grav lifts will catch us. The grav lifts will keep us from breaking every bone in our bodies and then we will speed off like the entire Imperium fleet is up our ass."

He laughed lightly and then continued, "Plan B is in the event that they discover the auto-transport or we're under too much fire to set the charges. In that case, we fight our way to the south end of the building. There is a sewer access vent left from the Clone Wars era. They don't even know it exists because it lies behind a false wall. We shoot our way there, break open the wall, and enter a thousand year old sewer system with only one schematic map in existence; the one I have in my pocket. Plan C is our last resort and very dangerous. I have several thermal charges Soa helped me smuggle under the Prime Vault. They are placed under the building at structural weak points...if I have to I'll bring the damn building down and hope we can escape in the chaos. So what do you think?"

"Those all sound very...solid." He said nodding, then gave a smile. "Count me in, bossman."

"Alright! That's what I like to hear. We pull this off and your a very wealthy man." Myn smiled. It was time to begin what was to be an infamous heist, whether it succeeded or not. "But before we go start, you had better ask any and all questions you have now. Once we start down this path there will be no time for talking or changing plans. So any questions, comments, concerns, or sarcastic remarks?"

"You're so talkative," laughed Myn as he placed a package on the table. He pulled out several items; a very expensive suit, a silver briefcase, and a wrist-mounted computer. A highly advanced piece of technology designed by Komad Industries for people of authority, but in this case it was for this particular operation and looked very different from a KI CIS so there would be no connection. "This is a Komad Industries command interface system, or CIS for short but has been highly modified for this job so it lacks several of our normal functions. It will allow you to communicate to Soa and myself during this job, as well as help us establish ourselves as wealthy patrons. It works over any distance. It also regulates your bio-signature. We can locate you and monitor your health. This is useful if the nerf shit really hits the fan and we get separated. It works both ways as well, so you can find and regroup with us."

"Now you need to go get dressed and take this case as well. It is filled with nearly a billion credits, all false of course but not even the best computer will be able to detect this until we are long gone. Aden really is a genius when it comes to technology. These are probably the best counterfeits in the galaxy."
Myn smiled and gather his own clothing. "Now hurry. The fun's about to start."
