Ask Lothal The Improvised Solution

[Laren Vano]

The night was cold. Laren had been ready to finally land on the planet Lothal, where his brother had been waiting for him at, with the brother in arms they recruited a couple years prior. Laren landed in a secluded area surrounded by tall grass. His brother Rakiss seen the freighter and calls his brother. Hearing the transmitter go off, Laren turns on the holoprojector and says “Brother! How goes it? Ah doesn’t matter, I made it and now you can come aboard and tell me the important details!” And before his brother could respond he shut off the projector. He looks to his trusty droid BD-3 and said “Hey 3! I need ya do a system check on the ship. And don’t use the cannons again! That ammunition is expensive!” BD-3 let’s his antennas drop in disappointment but jumps up joyfully to run the diagnostics for his owner.

[Rakiss Vano]

Rakiss had been waiting for about a day for his brother to show up to lothal. He had cuased quite a bit of trouble on the planet and now trying to keep it secret of that he needed help to take his name off the planets wanted list in the city that was nearby. He sat in his ship and he saw his brothers freighter approached, getting a holographic message saying he had arrived, but before Rakiss could respond to his younger brother he cut transmission annoying Rakiss slightly. “Laren I swear you lucky I need your help.” he said to himself as he sat in his cockpit as the rain outside hit its view port lightly and rolled off in the dark weather out. Rakiss sighed to himself quietly, at least he would have to deal with him alone he would have the third party member to keep his sanity intact until he could get this mess sorted out and even more so without the others finding out, if Laren found out god forbid he does, he would never hear the end of it. He supposed he should get up and go out to meet the Laren, standing up and calling out to the third on their group through his helmet coms “Mezo you up? Get your things and meet me at the ships landing ramp, Laren just landed and we will meet him outside so I can brief everyone else on why I brought us here.” Hoping the younger mando had heard him, now walking to the ramp hoping Mezo wasn’t far behind so they could get this over with. He would wait for him while he check his armor and gear in the ships cargo hold near the ramp.

[Mezo Vano]

Waking up to the sound of my name being called. I get up and head to the ship's landing ramp to meet up with Rakiss. Still tired I take my sweet time getting ready. I didn't really know what was going on, but all I know is that Laren did something to get in trouble again. Meeting up with Rakiss in the ship's cargo hold, I give him a thumbs up to let him know that I'm ready to go. With a sigh "what did he do this time?" I asked.

[Zariel]

Meanwhile in the slums of kraitiss Zariel enters a bar. The bar is common place for him to receive new mission's or seek entertainment. He is approached by a government official offering him a sizeable reward to eliminate a target for causing problems. "Who is the target?" Asked Zariel. "His name is Rakiss, a mandalorian like you." Replied the mysterious figure.

 

[Laren Vano]

Back to the freighter known as the Unforced, Laren greets his brother Rakiss and Their friend Mezo at the entrance of the ship. “Well, how goes it?” Laren asks but again before there were any chance of reply by the two he continues to say “Yea I been good! Dealin with my droid showing playbacks of some mischief goin on. It was quite a sight brother. Might show Mezo another time.” And before his brother could muster up any sort of response Laren pats his shoulder and walks back into the ship saying “So why did I have to come back to this awful planet? There’s literally nothing good that happens here for either of us.”

[Rakiss Vano]

Rakiss looking to Mezo saying “For once Laren is not the source of the issue today. Let’s just go see him and I’ll explain it all.” The two walk off the ramp into the rain of the day, they try to greet Laren but with no room to speak just end up following him onto his ship, once he stopped his rambling Rakiss looked to Mezo and shook his head slightly then looking to the BD-3 droid as they talked knowing if he spilled anything and he found out about it he would scrap the damn thing. He then looked to Laren and Mezo and removed his helm showing his face running a hand through his short black hair and addressing the group as he turned on a holo projection of a Tewlek. “Now that we are all hear let’s get to it, this is the target, he has a lot of influence and power he holds is pretty big here in the city we will operate in. The reason for the mission is a need to know basis and you two don’t need to know. All you do need to know is he has it out for me for some (Buissnes) I had here a month or two ago and we can’t have that. He’s pretty protected as well so once we locate this guy it’s not gonna be easy to get to him if we get him to take the bounty off it works for us if not we put a hole in his dome piece. I’ll give you more and we go along, any questions?” He looked for anything they needed to ask and needed from him as he turned off the projection and tries to hastily change the subject, looking through a crate at the gear they had on hand he would put a full plan together once they moved out into the city. Hoping it would go off without a hitch.

After hearing the mission brief I asked a question. "Can we blow up his hideout with air strikes. Nothing can go wrong with this idea." i said while laughing.

[Zariel]

After accepting the bounty Zariel started seeking information about his target. He was given a name and a face from his client but he needed details of who he was going against. After a while he figured out ship he had as well with who he might be with. Zariel learned that Rakiss had a brother and an associate. Three mandalorians he had to face. Upon further research he found that all three have arrived at lothal.

[Laren Vano]

“As much as I would like to blow some grunts up, we can’t go in like that. Killing the target is last resort.” Laren gives a slight chuckle and looks to Mezo knowing what it was like to be full of ideas. “A good idea none the less.” He walks to the exit hatch and leaves the ship. While standing outside he uses his scanner to look out at Kraitiss City and turns to Rakiss “A long walk but necessary, taking the ship in would be too noticeable. We have to play it safe and take the concealment in the grass all the way there and hopefully sneak through the streets.” Laren becoming slightly impatient let’s out a sigh and says “How many are we talkin?”

[Rakiss Vano]

As they all stood there, Rakiss could see Larens unrest and Mezo’s ideas just of that of his brothers. “Look no one does anything crazy without the groups go, and as to give you an estimate all I know is he has the city’s police, anything past that I don’t know, so we use the cover of darkness while we have it and get to work. Now if we have all out gear let’s move out alright?” He motioned the others to follow as he walked outside and started to walk putting his helmet on this night would entail many things so he might as well start moving he needed to get this done and was fairly sure it would be easy as he walked with the three it wouldn’t be too much of a walk but once they made it there he would take them to a building where they could set up near a target building where he would be able to gain intel on where the target was.

"Since we're sticking to the shadows, could I go undercover as one of the city's police to get more intel?" I asked. Looking at both Rakiss and Laren hoping that they agree on the idea. "If they agree with the idea than we might have a better chance to get the guy to drop the bounty." I thought.

After collecting information on his targets Zariel started making preparations on how to handle his target. He had connections in the city. He knew what his target looked like, the number of companions he had, and that the we're highly dangerous. He could not afford to underestimate them.

[Laren Vano]

Laren becoming impatient with waiting to go attack, he snapped at Mezo “Enough with the childish questions!” He then walked back to the cockpit and picked up BD-3. He spoke silently to only his droid “I will need you to be careful out there. You’re my best friend and I can’t lose you.” As Laren walked back out to where his brothers waited, with BD-3 on his shoulder, he said “Now if we’re ready to go let’s make our move. I’ll take on any who stand in my way.”

Rakiss sighed to himself, this was gonna be a long night.... but he shook it off and started to walk. ”We can get the finer details in order once we arrive. For now just calm down and let’s go.” He said to the group as he started off to the building he had designated as a sort of base of operations.
(Time skip: 3 hours)

After arriving at the high rise building the three checked in and moments later entered the safe room Rakiss had put together. They all took seats or stood in different areas around the room, dimly lit he looks around and looks to his two he had traveled with and spoke. “Ok first things first......we have to get to someone here who knows the big guy himself, and make him talk. Lucky for us all I had done some recon before you all arrived. Looks like our target had a few political friends, the plan stands to gain access to a secure building that I will show you shortly, then force this friend of his to arrange a meeting. Once that happens make sure this guy knows what we are about and takes a certain name off a wanted list for this sector of the planet, anyone disagree? Speak now or else add anything you may want to before we hit the streets.” he sad there in silence waiting for anything to be said for him to address. If not he would simply nod and get to showing the finer details and prep before they tried this crazy plan he had in mind.

 

[Mezo Vano]

Sitting in silence, Mezo looks and listens to Rakiss's plan. "Is it wrong to ask about an idea or did it sound so childish that it pissed him off. I should just stop thinking about it and just go with the plan they already have." Mezo thought. Before noding in agreement to continue on, Mezo felt something drip on his hand, it was blood, his blood. The source of the bleeding was his right eye. "My right eye is bleeding, but I can still see out my eye, so why is it bleeding?" Mezo thought, not realizing that he was thinking out loud.

After gathering information Zariel surmised that they may be after the one who set the bounty and decided to use him as bait. He would set up a trap and work with his security detail to neutralize his target.

[Laren Vano]

Laren heard Mezo’s cry and turned to look at him and tell him, “If you need to stay back for a few and fix the issue then go ahead. Rakiss and I will scout ahead and inform you of what to look out for. I trust you’ll be alright!” Laren began to walk toward his lovable sidekick BD-3 and picked him up and put him on his back. “Alright BD let’s get this goin, shall we?” BD would respond excitedly “Bwooo.” After Laren had finished his preparation he walked past his brother letting out “Alright brother let’s head out” Laren turned and kept moving backwards towards the city “Hurry up now. We gotta fix YOUR issues this time” he had let out slight laughter and behind it you could hear BD give off a robotic laugh.

[Rakiss Vano]

Rakiss rolled his eyes, just what he needed. As long as that droid kept its memory core to its self they wouldn’t find the truth oh his last exploit. Laren would never let it go, but with any luck this would all go as planned. He stepped out the door and readies for the long night ahead of them. He finally spoke up again “Good to see your head on the game Laren that will help get this done all the sooner. Mezo carful with that and once your ready call our coms and we will send a location to your helmet, mean while me and Laren will do prep this snatch and grab here soon ok?” He closes the door and pats Laren on the shoulder to confirm he was just as ready to go, they head outside and get k to a speeder Rakiss had rented. They sped off and hit the streets and would make their way to a location in the city and would begin to put there plan into action.

 

[Mezo Vano]

Listening to what Laren said, Mezo a little confused at what happened quickly got up and headed to the washroom to wash off the blood. While in the washroom Mezo takes his helmet off to clean the blood, after cleaning up his face he noticed that some of the blood had dryed up and become unremovable. It looked like the skin under his right eye had cracked like glass, but it didn't feel like it. "It doesn't look that bad," Mezo said. After putting his helmet on, he sent a message to Laren telling him that he was ready and waiting for the cordinants so he can meet up with him and Rakiss.
