Hey, making this in case we need it, and also because we need it.

So, In the first post you do your manipulation of my lightsaber by stating that it is (which was just openly there attached to his left waist

That's not really the case as in my post before I specifically state that

Over it all he had his thin back cloak, a merely cosmetic measure that paid tribute to his allegiance. It also had the side effect of helping to conceal the weapons at his waist

It would be great if you could edit that bit out/change it.

Cloaks being open at the front I'm not seeing how it would cover it if he's wanting full mobility of his arms - is it attached round the back or something?

If it is then no biggie I can change to a different attack no big deal

Edited to a different attack to avoid confusion :D

@Narsi - to confirm, my Force attack shouldn't be "a wiggle".

It is a sudden attack where the lightsaber is being turned on you. There isn't a convenient wiggle before it moves because the first notion he should have of it being effected is it moving the saber in his hand to bring the blade to his face - which isn't a large distance due to your positioning of the blade vertically in your previous post - so I'd appreciate it if you didn't handwave the attack as something that comes with a physical warning that was not mentioned or implied within my post

Sure, I'll change it up real quick

I apologize for the sudden 180 but after further consideration I no longer agree with the need to edit that part of my post. What with the distance between us, and the fact that you'll be battling against a manner of resistance. I do indeed think there would be a wiggle of some kind before the sudden twist.

See the following instance below where a comparable, maybe even better, bad guy tries to pick up a lightsaber that is much closer and only held back by snow. At 1:17 specifically.

1) Wouldn't be any resistance until you are aware it's happening - wrists don't lock up and stop turning until we put effort into making it happen

2) Your example is flawed imo dude - we see that the reason Kylo has trouble with it is either because someone else is using the Force on it (hence why it goes to Ray) or the reason is because "the will of the Force says it would work for Ray and not him" which means it can't really be used as a defence in PvP

1. Well yes, the wrist would stay loose until Vrael consciously locked it up. But he's still holding the saber in place until that point, in the air gripped in his hand. There would be some small resistance at least. Probably more than snow.

2.
This is fairly common actually. See Obi-Wan picking up Qui gons saber for his final blow on Maul in Episode 1. See Obi-Wan again when picking up his own saber to give to Anakin during the fight with Dooku in episode 2. See Luke picking up his saber in the Wampa cave in Episode 5. In every instance above, they were all much closer and again the strongest visible resistance was more snow.

So, I really cant roll with your latest post and defense. I mean, hair falling over your eye and thus throwing off the attack? I don't see that having the kind of effect your describing, at all. That, along with the movement and sensing really doesn't fly at all.

I would appreciate an edit to a more suitable response.

I don't see why not tbh - it seems perfectly viable to me;

- Attacks can be sensed in the Force, especially when people are ready for counter attacks
- Your target area of attack is tiny and still almost 35 meters away. If moving an object isn't instant over such a distance (which we have established and agreed merely one post previously) then I fail to see how this attack would be either
- Line of sight is incredibly important still for a level one, which we both are. You can't see the target, you can't effect the target. As much as it's likely to become a meme? Hair obscures your target area just as well as a wall would do at this distance

So personally I think we should just both accept that our Force attacks over this distance aren't really doing much of anything and just hurry up and actually close the distance to have a fight

I'm afraid I really can't agree on these points. Since I don't see a potential consensus being easily reached I have simply reported the post. I feel a definitive ruling is for the best here.

Seems a bit premature to be honest but it's too late for me to give my opinion on that now I suppose

Admin Ruling: Nefie's defense is inadequate. Lyanna is "force jabbed" in the eye, which is rather painful and makes the vision in that eye all blurry as it swells from the trauma. This would last until the end of the fight, if not for a day after. Future damage to the same eye could very well result in retinal detachment. Line of sight is important to force attacks, but simple hair is insufficient to block an attack. Unless Lyanna has some horrid cyclops mutation, it would not be hard to imagine where her eye is. Otherwise, we could all wear bed sheets with two holes for the eyes into a PvP and be immune against targeted attacks such as tripping or force choke.

So, I dispute the notion that Lyanna had the power/focus to stop Vrael's attack like that. I carefully worded his posts and actions to state that he was gathering/focusing his strength within.

"The force swirled about him, filling his limbs with a cold fire. He was building up his power within for the coming fight and inevitable betrayal."

"The force still surged about him like it had during his walk over, the power congealing in his belly now as it ached for use. Vrael bided his time, gathering and keeping it within for when he needed it."

These are all basically directly state that Vrael is stockpiling power and preparing for a big move.

Your posts have nothing like that. Consisting of lines like "The Force was still coiled around her like a spring," and "She still held the Force tightly around her, readying it for quick and controlled use."

Being ready doesn't equate to building up power, and that shouldn't be enough in this scenario.

So your argument is that you've been building the Force up so you should be able to overpower someone who has been doing the same for the same number of posts?

I am aware that prepared Force attacks are more powerful than none prepaded attacks - but I'm not aware of any rules that say you can act as though you can overpower someone of the same level when they've been readying the Force themself

Unless I'm mistaken, preparing the Force over other turns doesn't stack. It's not like stacking three posts of level one force power makes it a level 3 attack you know?

And I have been preparing the Force myself over many turns as well so it's moot even if that was the case - the fact that I didn't describe the preparation in the same way as you doesn't invalidate it

So I don't see why I need to edit to be honest
