Drow Venn's body would never be cremated, lost as it was on that cursed space station that had claimed his life. So, the Order did what they could with what they had. A few of his belongings had been left behind on the Sphyrna frigate Chainbreaker; a robe, some drawings he'd made of the Temple during his time there, and a small batch of soil that had been taken from the orchard he'd grown on Yavin. Those belongings had been wrapped up and placed into a plain metal urn and jettisoned from the Jedi Fleet to drift towards a nearby star.

Drow had certainly been a complicated Jedi. He fought many times against the Sith, serving in the Battle of Byblos, the Liberation of Sullust, even going up against the Eternal itself and living to tell the tale. He committed most of his time at the Temple to strengthening the defenses of the Order; rediscovering the holocron of Cin Drallig and founding the Yavin Temple Security Forces; the last remnants of whom stood morosely but dutifully at the Jedi ship's window, watching Drow's urn drift into space. It was perhaps fitting that one of his last acts as a Jedi was to help defend that Temple one final time.

Drow had been a Jedi Master, but was often at odds with the Council. Eventually, one act of disobedience had been so great that he had been publicly sentenced by his friend and Grandmaster, Alex Voran. However, Drow was secretly reassigned to the role of First Shadow, a role he fulfilled dutifully, if reluctantly. Although he was grateful for the chance to still continue serving the Order, Drow hated the skulking in the shadows and the lonely isolation that came with the job. After years of service, Alex had allowed her friend to rejoin the Order publicly again, his penance served. That had been only weeks ago and it was now known that Drow was dead, cut down before he'd had a chance to rejoin his beloved Order.

So it was that Drow had lived; struggling to serve others and atone for a violent past.
