death disabled, open to all mandalorians interested in joining the reformed Death Watch.

♠ THEME ♠

Koil plucked the strings of his acustic guitar that sat in his office. The Club House had sparsely been used in the past months. But now he heard the noise of the party in the recreation room. People had been invited by Koil to the otherwise isolated and hidden location of his personal domain. It had been founded in cooperation between Clan Solus and Clan Rau. It had been open to both clans for awhile now since before Clan Solus had risen to become a full fledged Mandalorian House.

Now it was the meeting place for Koil to reignite the flame of the Death Watch, or rather, turn it into something new. It had been an idea that the War Councilor had kept to himself for quite some time. But now in the wake of the atrocities committed against the Mandalorian people by the Sith Empire he would put his ideas into action.

Pushing off of his desk chair he seldom used it spun a few times, slowing by the time he got to the door. Out into the main recreation area he walked, passing by any people that were present. It was not as large as any grand hall or official like some kind of meeting area. This was a pit stop for warriors. This was probably the most down time some of them had had since that fateful day.

Underneath his helmet his eyes were tired having slept little. It was not because of a lack of opportunity. Traveling between star systems had allowed him to catch some sleep but when he did there was little rest. He had been having nightmares of everything that had happened.

The others may have been expecting him to say something at this point. He was in clear view of all of them but he headed past them into the kitchen area. Grabbing coffee and some ice he put it all into a blender and let it mix until the luke warm beverage was cold. Grabbing a straw he pulled the blender container off its mounting and stuck the straw into the blender before sucking down its contents. He needed the caffeine.

Letting out a breath of mild satisfaction he put the container in the sink and filled it with water. He would be back to wash it later. For now he headed back into the recreation room and stood in front of the bar, his stance indicating he had something to say. Once he had their attention he would speak.

"Thank you for coming. It's good to see so many of you safe." Though he understood many had not been so lucky. "I want to give all here the opportunity to avenge what you've lost. The Empire will be brought to justice."
He had more to say but for now he wanted to make sure he had their attention.

Sumas got the invitation, much to his surprise. In all honesty, he was very weary about going. He actually valued his head...and a private meeting with Koil Solus frightened him a bit. But at least this didn't look like a one-on-one meeting. More like a group thing. So with that in mind he steered the Meteor towards Concord Dawn and jumped to hyperspace.

He had been spending a lot of time in the Meteor's personal quarters. Not that it was unfamiliar, going on missions and doing his own thing he used it a lot...but since the bombarding of Mandalore he didn't have anywhere else to go. He could go back to Iridonia...but with the Sith occupation still going on he couldn't risk it. Though he had plans for that. Plans...and a few dozen crates of explosives. He wanted his home back.

The Meteor touched down and he made his way to the club house. Though not after getting into an argument over another Mandalorian after crushing a wing of his ship. That'll teach the idiot to land within the lines of a landing space.

Inside it was pretty casual. It was odd to him. How come nobody told him this was a thing?! He could have bunked down here instead of the Meteor! Regardless, he helped himself to a beer from the fridge and tried to find his way towards the recreation area. After getting lost a few times he found it, with Koil waiting for him and others as well. His hand did shift a little closer to his blaster. "Oh hey, Koil!" he said with a chipper tone. He studied the man a little before parking his backside on a nearby couch. "So what's this about?" he asked, placing his horned helmet down on a table and taking a sip of the cold beer.

As Koil explained he stopped drinking. "...Keep going." he commented, his full attention now on the Alor.

Romeo broke out of prison only a few days prior to this rendezvous, the image of Mandalore burning and the rage fueled urge for vindictive justice was enough. However, Deathwatch had always been a dream, salvation for violent criminals such as him who thrived on carnage and bloodshed. IT was all he knew, that and having hot women spread their legs while severely intoxicated, that was also something he was good at, but for entirely different reasons...

Romeo was already sitting on the couch when Sumas went to sit down, unknowingly it seemed the Zabrak had very little peripheral awareness. And so as Sumas sat down, he landed into Romeo's lap, which the Marauder glanced at him with a WTF dude look and shoved him to the side with a solid forearm. @KinkyPrawn Surely some of that cold, cheap beer would have spilled on the couch, but he didn't mind it one bit. "Watch it horn boy, you ain't good looking enough to get my pants just yet.." He chuckled, before turning his attention towards the Silent Badger.

Romeo lit a cigarra in his lips, blowing out some of the smoke before his green eyes settled back upon Koil. "Sounds great boss, when do we get to kick some Sith ass?"

Dax had gotten his invitation to this little gathering not long after the call for Vengeance. As one of the first founding members of the original Death Watch, and even it's commanding officer for a brief stint. He hesitantly accepted. Then promptly accepted the mission to sack Hok shortly after that. When the job was done, he found his way to the Club House.

He had already made himself at home by the time the others had started to arrive. The upper sections of his heavy Beskar'gam resting in the chair of the tall table set. Helmet on the table next to a chilled dark ale recently delivered by a servant droid. Leaving the lower half of his armor on, including his holstered twin quick draw pistols, he passed the time with a solo game of pool. Ignoring those who equally seemed to ignore him. But taking a mental note of all the young and perhaps untested faces including that of the k'el ch'attuhim (@KinkyPrawn).

As the Koil made his appearance, Dax stopped his game. Carefully placing the stick on the pool table as, before returning to his beer and taking a drink. The silence badge went about making himself a king size iced coffee to Dax's surprise. Giving a "huh!' scoffing sound before taking yet another drink of his beer. As Koil started to speak, and garner the attention and respect he deserved. The spiked headed k'el continued to interject, before falling into the lap of his soon to be boyfriend.

Dax would wait until the two were done before addressing the Silent Badger, "I hope you invited real warriors vod, these two seem to be to busy flirting to remember we're fighting a war."

Receiving the invitation from Koil was a welcome surprising in an otherwise exceedingly long streak of unfortunate bullshit. Inside, Reyna was still seething about what the Sith had done to Mandalore. She hadn't found anywhere to focus her anger yet, which probably contributed heavily to her soured mood lately. The young Solus needed an outlet and she had come here hoping that maybe Koil would provide her with that, one way or another.

Others had shown up, two Reyna recognized and one she did not. She knew the Zabrak from the gathering on Mandalore prior to this, Reyna's opinion of him about as low as physically possible. An obnoxious loudmouth was that one. She had also seen the Rau before, though she did not know much about him. The other, with the ugly white hair seemed too pretty to be a Mandalorian. At the very least he needed a new barber. Yeesh.

Reyna watched as Koil spun himself up some kind of coffee and ice drink, taking long gulps from the bottle of beer she held in her own hand. She had never gotten a taste for caffeine or especially coffee, it always tasted like toasted kath hound buttholes to her - no matter how fancy it supposedly was, or good people claimed it to be.

Laughing at Dax's joke, Reyna shot him a look like "No shit right? Who are these other idiots?" She turned her attention to Koil as he started talking, nodding along as he mentioned bringing Sith dogs to justice.

"You've got me so far, Koil." Reyna said, finishing off her beer before starting a new one, popping off the bottle cap with just the strength of her own thumb. "What have you got in mind?"

Being invited to Koil's club was rather...an honor if Crystal dare say so. Her brother had already beaten her here it seemed, as he was in the process of screwing with that Zabrak guy, throwing him off his lap and onto the vacant seat on the couch. She still wasn't familiar with everyone's faces, though she did think she might have seen the Zabrak before; everyone else it was a total toss up. Going towards the only friendly face she needed right now.

Making her way into the room, Crystal took a seat on the arm of the couch, putting her mechanical arm around Romeo's shoulder as she found a nice place to get comfy. "Could have told me when you were heading out jackass." She muttered, squeezing his shoulder just a tad, though it was all fun in games. She was hesitant to show anything that might be seen as affection, last thing she wanted to do was derail this whole meeting by addressing the Bantha in the room. She set her head on his shoulder, letting her legs hang off the side, she waited for Koil to start his speech.

This was a small gathering but Koil was not looking for a large audience like Leandros had gathered in the aftermath of the Empire's atrocities. Voices came and shouted at one another and then him in turn. He did not respond to them individually. Instead he waited for them to settle before continuing.

"Some of you may know of the Death Watch. Some of you are actually members." He looked down for a moment knowing there would probably be some murmurs. His V slit visor stared at the grey hand print on his chest over his armor. He had painted it there after the events on Mandalore. The ashes of the fallen were always going to be close to his heart until the day he died.

"I am going to reform the Death Watch. You have the option of joining under the new organization as I lead operations against the Sith. I want Justice for Mand'alore the Chosen. Justice for our people." He took a deep breath before continuing. The claws of his dire badger padded and scrapped against the ground as he came alongside the War Councilor. Archie, the dire badger of Danny Solus, looked at the other Mandalorians present as if it was standing in solidarity with Koil.

"There are going to be changes of course. So if you were once a member and wish to relinquish your place among us you're free to do so without repercussion. First and foremost we will not be called the Death Watch." It was an odd thing to say. But it was to symbolize the change in time. No longer were they just a rag tag bunch of various clan members striking out against their oppressors like they had been eight years ago. They were not just there to cause death and wanton destruction in enemy territory. "The old Death Watch was dangerous. It was volatile. It was little more than a terrorist cell formed by members of our own community. What we'll become is something more." He had not realized it but Koil's hands hand balled into fists. His resolve was locked in place. Even if everyone else here did not join him in this endeavor he would do it alone. At the same time he hoped everyone here understood he was not the type to order one of his warriors to do anything he would not do himself.

Sumas was very surprised when there was actually someone sitting on his spot. Apparently the hair and crappy paint job did a fantastic job of helping him blend into the couch. With a grunt and a huff he got into the other seat and wiped the spilt beer off his armour. "What are you on about, man! I'm beautiful!" he quipped, making himself comfortable. Dax decided to make fun of him and Romeo, earning a chuckle from the Zabrak. "All is fair in love and war, man!" he said, taking a sip of his beer.

A few more joined in the room and pretty soon Koil was giving his speech. Sumas listened intently. When he was done, Sumas scratched the back of his head and looked at Koil. "If we're supposed to be the Death Watch but we're not calling ourselves that...then what are we gonna be, boss?" he asked the man as he sat forward a bit. "And what kind of targets are we looking at?" he continued. The Alor certainly had his attention. He was itching to make things go boom...though he had a few questions over how this will operate.

Drace had been invited to the meeting as well, though he arrived late. In between planning a new campaign and trying to make moves among the ladder, he was finding himself deeper and deeper into work and more lacking in free time. Meetings like these were important enough to warrant his presence though.

"A shame," he remarked, stepping into the room. The Field Marshal took a seat next to Dax. "The old name sounded badass. What do you propose to outdo "Death Watch"?

He didn't like how Koil just came in, took the group, and reformed it—but he was a War Councilor. He could do whatever he damn well pleased, and Drace would have no right to call him out on it. Still, it did rub him the wrong way a little. Where was Koil when they were risking their lives bombing the palace on Coruscant? Where was he for any important mission that the Death Watch undertook? Besides, saying they were terroristic merely fell into step with Imperial rhetoric. It sounded wrong.

Dax took another drink from his beer as he continued to listen to Koil. Dax was keel on letting the War Councilor finish before making a comment. A feat proving move difficult the longer he was in the same room with the spike headed idiot. The commando took sudden comfort in the fact that given the kinds of missions this group was likely to be sent on, Sumas was not long for this galaxy. The the combat didn't get him, his fellow not so-watch members likely would.

"Hearing a badger call the rest of us terrorists. Amusing if not a little hypocritical." Dax said flatly and with more then a little irritation. "Clan Solus set the standard for our brand of War. While we blew up a city, Raz blew up and emperor." he finished. Then waved the server over to get another drink. Something a little stronger.

Fashionably late doesn't quite cut it, Arturo thought, walking into the clubhouse half a minute after Drace, the lightest of steps carrying him to the room where his vode awaited. He held his helmet in the crook of his arm as he strolled through the building, the voices of old friends growing with each step till they carried clear, familiar faces floating into view alongside those of strangers as he came to stand in the doorway. He leaned his armored bulk against the frame, choosing not to comment about the back-and forth going on between the Mandalorians, content to linger quietly as they discussed something he'd failed to catch.

Death Watch came up a few times, and the tracker listened, lost but focused on the spoken word. His focus held until Dax mentioned Raz's name. Arturo began to pay more attention after that, watching the room with eyes that grew cold and distant, changing with each blink. His mind's eye skipped back to to the last time he'd seen Mand'alor the Chosen in person, all those years ago. The vision his memory cast was plain as day, though, time had sought to make it fade along with the pain it conjured. Arturo stared straight ahead, unaware of where his gaze fell as he remembered his treasured alor, and, as his thoughts wondered, he realized that grief would dog his heels no matter where he chose to tread. Her face flashed by with hundreds of others, all gone now. Millions of other faces accompanied them, he knew.

The Empire had a lot to pay for, and that debt would grow until there was no one left to pay it.

While it may not have been the best opening speech of all time, Reyna couldn't help but roll her eyes at the comments made by Dax. There was a wide difference between assassinating a single despot and bombing entire city blocks. Didn't really matter though; Reyna had a hard time considering a non-Solus' opinion to be worth anything at all. Without the badgers, the Mandalorians probably would have been crushed under the heel of the Sith back when it was being lead by a pretty-boy moron and a wrinkled nut sack.

Finishing off her beer, Reyna stood straight and gave Koil a nod of approval, crossing her arm over her chest in a salute of solidarity. She needn't say any words for Koil to get the message that she was on his side, willing to take up the mantle of this new Death Watch - or whatever it was going to be called - and do what needed to be done to avenge Mandalore., but more importantly, to bring hope back to the Mandalorian people.

"Clan Solus set the standard for what a Mandalorian should be," She finally said, eyeing the Rau. Reyna was doing her best to keep the annoyance off of her face, but it seemed like whenever she was around Dax, he was always spouting off with some holier-than-though attitude. Geriatric Mandalorians were the worst.

"So, what's the new name?" She asked, turning her attention back to Koil. The name was the most important part of an organization. A name like "Death Watch" struck worry and fear into those that heard it, but perhaps not the right kind. Hopefully whatever Koil had come up with would project the image he wanted this old-new organization to have.

They were a rowdy bunch. Even if there had been shushing it would have probably just escalated. They were a rambunxious group of mostly badgers. Koil ignored the loudness and continued.

"Our ancestors, before they even set out among the stars to conquer had a name for their warrirors. They were known as the Shadow Warriors. They fought even as the skies darkened with the clouds of war. Even when things were their bleakest they fought and were victorious. We will take their title as our own, the Werda Verda." He let is sink in for people. Some of them were not as learned of their history. But it might do them some good to look into their origins.

"The things we will be doing won't be pleasant. Some people might still consider our acts dishonorable." The quiet killings, sabotage, espionage, all of it was going to be much more subtle than they might be used to. "You won't get bright medals for your actions. In fact sometimes you will have to outright deny any involvement. If you are in it for the fame and glory you will be disappointed." That was how Koil had done things so far.

The man had not asked to become Al'verde of clan Solus. He had not sought out becoming War Councilor or earning his reputation as the Silent Badger. It had just come in time with hard work and with the decisions he had made. For better or worse this was the situation they were in. Archie growled in response to Dax's words and Koil heard Reyna respond with a quip of her own. Koil had been the one that had actually made the bomb that had blown up the Emperor but he had not mentioned it in the months or years following the assassination. Koil was not in it for the recognition. He had done it because it was needed. Just like this meeting here.

"I look at you all and I see some of the toughest and nastiest sons and daughters of Mandalore. The Empire will pay for what they have done and we will make anybody else think twice about coming after Mandalorians again. If you don't want to be part of it finish your drinks and go be with your families. If you want to be a true Shadow Warrior, how about we move onto shots?" He reached behind him and pulled out a large, mostly full bottle of Tihaar. This was still a Mandalorian meeting after all and this was the kick off of something great. The War Councilor wanted everyone who joined him to look fondly on this memory. It was the first of many that would mark the Werda Verda's existence in galactic history for ages to come.

Dalyn Solus lingered silently in the back corner of the room, eyes tracking the other verd standing around to hear Koil's pitch. The Death Watch was an organization of fame and infamy in equal measure with heroes of the Mando'ade and scourges of the clans both fighting beneath its banner. Growing up, his father had nothing but foul words for the group - ori'buyce, kih'kovi, brutes without finesse, or honorless savages. A stain on the honor of their people. Many a long nights traversing the hyper-ways looking for work had ended in a slurred recrimination of the Death Watch.

Before Meridaas burned, and his father with it. Before Mandalore burned in a cowardly attempt to shatter their people beneath the weight of horror and grief. The Sith had sown so much devastation across their systems... perhaps it was time for them to reap it.

Dalyn stepped out of the shadows, the former blue, orange, and red of his beskar painted over in ashen black trimmed with gold. Lifting the helmet off his head and holding it at his side he strode forward to Koil and the proferred jug of tihaar, nodding his head respectfully to his Warleader.

"Werda Verda, eh? Try saying that five times fast." Chuckling without humor, and with an easy grin that didnt reach his eyes, Dalyn held out a battered tin-cup for his shot and knocked it back before tapping the empty tin against his helmet.

"My hammer and blasters are yours in this, Al'verde; point me to a target."

Trixie had only been back in Mandalorian space for a few weeks. In that time, Leandros came into power, Raz Solus kicked the bucket and her entire planet was glassed. None of this bothered her as much as the fact that her blunt trauma inducing weapons and her gear were missing. She had been too focused on her escape to get her shit back, and that meant she had to make do with other armor.

And so, she decided not to wear armor. Instead, she wore a tight black corset that pushed her tits close together and made them almost spill out. She also wore leather pants and high heels, her hair tied in pig tails. With her makeup and red lipstick, she looked like a cheap hooker, but for those that knew her, none of this was a shock.

The door burst open shortly after Koil’s speech, but she could hear it on her way in. The Club House was a nice little place he managed to get himself. She promised to behave and not get permanently banned from it like from that club for public urination. She giggled to herself at the memory - when you gotta go you gotta go.

Trixie walked in with a drink in hand, sipping from it and giving a big smile as she spotted Koil, “KOIIILLL baby your little emo ass is still alive and kicking!” She spoke loudly and kept her gaze trained ahead. As she walked, she bumped into Sumas in a way that would cause him to lose balance and tumble to the ground. She casually stepped on his head without a second look and kept walking towards Koil. @KinkyPrawn

Once near him, she looked around, spotting some familiar faces, “Reyna, Arturo, Dax!” She screeched in a high pitched voice, giving her drink to Koil to hold, “Long time no see, darlings. I hope you missed me,” She gave a high pitch giggle, knowing they were probably horrified to see her.

She then turned to Koil, “Bringing the Death Watch back? Explosions? Terrorism? All of the shit I used to do? And I wasn’t even the first person you called,” She put her arm around his neck, leaning in close so her lips were brushing the side of his helmet, “You know killing and explosions gets me hot. I didn’t think I’d see the day where you of all people would bring it back,” She started cackling abruptly, “Oooh I’m so excited!” She completed her little episode with Koil by licking the side of his helmet, “Nice helmet, maybe if you keep up the explosions, I’ll sit on it,” She gave him a wink and took her drink back, chugging it in one go and making her way to sit near the others.

She plopped down next to Dax, casually swiping the drink from the bar that he just ordered and taking a sip while her eyes were on Koil, “Can’t say I dig the new name though, boo,” Trixie handed the drink back to Dax, the rim sporting a nice lipstick mark.

Hearing Dalyn's iconic voice he turned his head towards him a little faster than normal. He was pleased to see a member of the old guard still around. In these days with few friends and even fewer family members it was good to see the man here. "It's Alor now, Dalyn." He said it with a smile and a chuckle to let the man know he was both correcting him but also simply letting him know that he was fine skipping such formalities regardless. They went further back than a lot of the people here and there already was mutual respect between them.

Then the antithises of the Silent Badger bursted through the door.
$#*%....it's her. He thought as he heard the following voice. Koil's shoulder sagged and his smile was replaced with a stoic face. Maybe he was doing it to steel himself from the incoming amount of wackiness. But maybe he was just thinking of how much he would be drinking to stave off any possible headache Trixie was going to give him. Hod Ha'ran bless her, she was a wild child but sometimes she was just too much for the War Councilor.

A sigh and a Koil's mouth opened to protest as his hand quickly had a drink placed in it. No sound came out though as he realized she was not going to hear him since she was squealing over seeing so many familiar faces. The man's mouth closed again and set the cup down on the counter next to him since it had been just as far away from the latest arrival. She probably would not even notice or car he set it down.
She probably did that intentionally. He thought. Archie grumbled like a concerned friend. Don't stand that close to that dangerous person, is what the badger probably thought. Trixie was dangerous. That was why Koil still thought she would do well among their number.

Koil was looking dead ahead when the Ordo clan member pulled him closer. He was surprised but even with his helmet on he tried to show himself as being as unaffected by her as possible just to spite her. Then he remembered he also was probably starved of most physical affection in part also do his own normally reserved demeanor.
Maybe I should make an example out of her and kick her- He just knew she had licked his helmet then and he stopped caring if people saw him act surprised by what she had done. His expression should practically be imagined by anyone that had been paying attention to the context of what had just transpired. His jaw opened again but like before, nothing came out. Again, he knew that whatever he had planned to say would not even matter to the woman.

The Silent Badger's mouth stayed open underneath his helmet. He popped back his helmet only high enough to free his mouth and began to chug the bottle he had had previously been holding in offer of shots. After all of that he needed a drink, or three. Of everyone present only Reyna had probably actually seen his face. Koil did not mind keeping up appearances with everyone else.

His hand brought the bottle down again. A satisfied exhale was followed by the Echani bringing his helmet down again.
"LET'S DO SOME SHOTS!" That was a rallying cry everyone could get behind. Archie's claws clacked on the ground as he bounced and wriggled in the sudden burst of excitement. The only server droid operational at the time quickly realized that meant it would have to fetch more libations soon. "I'll unlock the reserves."

Dax returned the glare to Reyna. "Those might be honored words, if they were not coming from the runt of the litter.", he replied. Giving the little girl a fake but smug smile as he returned his attention to the drink he had just asked for, but then turned his attention to Koil as he started his speech.

The warm feeling he had from trading quips with the young Solus would quickly change however. As the door burst open, like it was forced by a breaching charge. Which in many ways Trix Ordo was indeed just that. An exhilarating kind of dangerous. The brains of a blown out spice head, dropped in holoporn star's body, with the combat skills of a war councilor and a fetish for volatile explosives.

"Oh....shhhit!" he exclaimed. Watching Trixie march over and through Sumas to make a be line for Koil. The Rau commando continues to watch her. Tongue tied with surprise and more then a little fear as he watches from his front row seat at the crazy show that would end with her licking Koil's helmet.

"Loves to use that tongue." he would mutter to himself as he once again tried to return to his drink. A tall glass of Atlas rum and coke. Then watched as suddenly Trixie's tiny fingers snatch the glass and bring it to her lips. "wha.." he tried to say only to get his glass back. "Nice shade of pink, doll face." He then said, commenting on her lipstick.

Romeo was watching the spectacle with little muse, though he artificially shown some excitement with revealing of the new name and along with the shots' invitation from the Silent Badger. I mean, which kind of Mandalorian would turn down free drinks?!

Who was this jackass?

Romeo thought to himself, eyeing the man Dax Rau for a long and hardy moment as he was tossing some insults his way. Mattered little, he had a nice shiny jetpack and perhaps when no one was looking, a little bit of friendly fire and revision paintjob would make it his. After all, shit happens in the field.

He coiled back a bit with his sister harassing him, what the kark was she doing here? He didn't give her authority to join up with Death Watch. Before he could say anything though, the voices and shouts of those cheering for the new formation and in alignment with Koil's toast rang through the room. There definitely wasn't an opportunity now to say it, it would just have to wait for a different time in the evening. As the bartender brought a shot glass towards him,
Romeo lifted it with his own fingers.

"OYA" He shouted, in accordance with the remainder of the cheering bellows. He hoped he got the chance to kick some ass soon. He hadn't killed a man since he murdered that sucker in prison, and his trigger finger was getting quite itchy...
