Jenza Ryiin tore herself out of unconsciousness and tasted sand on her palette. She spit it out and wiped away the grains that had caked around her nose since she had fallen from her speeder. Examining her hand, afterwards, she noticed there was a smudge of blood as well. Her head was pounding and... and the Kid was missing. She cursed under her breath. Looking around, she could see no signs of the abductors. No signs of the little bundle she had been carrying before she wiped out.
An endless sea of sand stretched out in front of her. On the horizon, just over the tallest dunes, she spotted the silhouette of an old Star Destroyer. Her instincts told her that's where they were going. The downed hull was massive, easily able to hide a base for a group of vagabond swoop racers. But it would take days to get there without her speeder and she had left her ship back at Niima Outpost. Grunting against the pain, she pushed herself to her feet.
Can't walk all that way, she told herself. Not without water. Without transportation or food. I'll go back to Niima and fetch the X-Wing. Then, I'm gonna show those Weequay hell for what they did.
She was only partially referring to the Kid's kidnapping. Mostly, she was referring to the pain in her hip, which she had fallen on after her speeder exploded. Reluctantly, she turned back towards Niima Outpost and began to limp towards the faint outline of the distant tents. Her throat was dry, she was parched and thirsty, but her thoughts were elsewhere — on her X-Wing — and what she would do to those swoop racers when she caught up to them... @Rom
