The Flying Man (Short Film)

This is a very well done portrayal of what a real life superhuman could be like; it's scary and intimidating, but despite the super vigilante's brutality a part of me can't help but sympathize with his actions. I've always found 'what is the proper use of power' type stories to be some of the most compelling ones. In the end though, this guy is definitely one of the most unsettling superhero's I've ever seen.

Unfortunately, what happens with a lot of online video/short films, is that their ideas can be too big in concept so they sacrifice their story in the service of those concepts.

In this case, we follow two boring men who can't act as they're doing...something shady?

Because they've decided they want the audience to view The Flying Man not as a character but as a concept, so they needed an actual character for them to follow...so we get the cliched criminal with a heart of hold who ''Just wants out.''

All in all, it was pretty lame, even if it shot for some high-political commentary, it was too dumb and derivative.
