Plot The Flight

[Adenn Rytt]

Rytt swivelled in his chair, firing at one of the fighters, it dodged and the formation broke up, he tracked his target and followed it as the TIE flew and fired ahead of it, the Fighter was cut in half by the gunners seat, and continued flying through space in the direction it was heading towards previously, despite having been destroyed. Adenn cheered and swore at the now dead pirate.

 

[Talon Vizsla]

Talon watched as a tie blew up; he'd had his eye on that specific Tie. The pilot seemed to be weaker than the other two in its movements; guess the pilot's incapability had consequences...His ship took a glancing hit, the shields absorbing most of the blow, but he still felt the jolt and cursed, twisting and turning as he struggled to follow the more maneuverable Tie. He kept pulling the trigger to keep them at bay; he winced as his sporadic firing came close to Dol's ship. He hoped he didn't end up like that Tie...

 

[Dolworth]

Dolworth swore as the blasts started peppering his ship, banking left to spread out between him and Talon's ship. He watched as a TIE came flying towards his exposed belly, only to be greeted by the ventral turret automatically turning and aiming. A droid may be a horrid pilot, but as a gunner? No contest in accuracy. The TIE had got too close for its own good, as it became peppered itself by light laser cannon fire. The ship went into a fireball as the shot up cockpit dominoed into catastrophic damage.

"Good Shot Dusty!" barked Dolworth as he leveled off, watching as the Ventral turret went offline and the Dorsal whirled to life, "How many left?!" he asked to his Vod.

 

[Adenn Rytt]

"One"
Adenn replied, firing at the Last TIE. The pilot was better Than his companions, weaving in and out of rage and dodging the blasts from Rytt.

 

[Talon Vizsla]

"He won't get freaking hit--" Talon was cut off as the Tie suddenly pulled upwards and circled around behind him. "Holy--" The tie began firing; the shields were NOT going to hold up much more after this... "Dol, he's at an angle slightly under my ship; Rytt can't hit him. We need help."

 

[Dolworth]

Dolworth growled as he pushed hard on the controls, making the gunship tip downward and forward, "Dus!" he barked as the little droid began to chirp and whirl, "I know he's a slippery bastard just hang on!" the Droid made a small chirp back causing Dol to look at him, "YOU WATCH YOUR KRIFFING LANGUAGE MISTER!" he snapped at him as he felt a jolt, indicating the TIE was hitting his shield, "Come one Dus! You got this!" he encouraged, causing Dusty to turn to controlling the Turrets. The Tie kept hitting their shields, the alarms going off on Dolworth's instruments to indicate that their deflector shields were about to fail. He held his breath as the Dorsal cannon began to turn right. The Loud screech of the TIE began to get louder and louder, time beginning to almost slow to a crawl around Dolworth as he held his breath...

BING! BING! KABOOOM!

The TIE had drifted too close for comfort. An Organic was a terrific pilot, but the accuracy of a droid was unbeatable...the Tie went from functioning Fighter to scrap reject as it consumed itself into a fireball. Dolworth let out the heaviest breath he could feel as he leaned forward on the console, "Uh...Guys...Did we get em all?" he asked nervously...

 

[Talon Vizsla]

"I believe so...I hope so anyways. Nevertheless, we definitely lost the element of surprise..." Talon coasted the ship to a slower speed, adrenaline pumping through his veins.
His heart was pumping; a couple more hits and the whole thing would’ve been for nothing. “Adenn, you got the location of that base? We need to get down there and scout it out.”

 

[Dolworth]

"I don't think we lost it Vod, at least by much" retorted Dolworth, "One of two things would have happened if they knew were were coming...Either they would send reinforcements after these guys, or they would be bolting for it if they knew that their guys were dead...." He checked his instruments, scanning to see if any ships were preparing or already leaving the surface, "And I am not picking up anything. So either they are unaware that were here, they know we're here and are starting to prepare-again scans are negative on that-they are arrogant enough to think a bunch of TIES against shielded ships would be enough and are doing nothing,...or they're shoring up for a siege." Dolworth was now praying that the last one was not the case...

 

[Talon Vizsla]

"Oi, Vod, let's hope that last one's not our reality...We could be here for a long time. Let's land a good distance away from their base; we need to get eyes on that place." Adenn had just sent the coordinates and Talon had his droid set their landing position. "We need at least a thirty minute walk. I'll take my sniper and go scout out the place, test my beskar'gam."

 

[Adenn Rytt]

"Right, Lets get down there then."
Adenn rose from the gunner's chair and grabbed his rifle and Beskad. Then, having checked his kit he strapped into a seat and prepared for the drop down to the planet.

 

[Dolworth]

"Roger Vod, Coming in behind you" replied Dolworth as he followed Talon's ship down. They made sure to stay below any scanners, coming in the opposite direction the quarry would think they would. When they sat down, Dolworth climbed out via the starboard hatch, facing his Vod while watching Talon disappear into the foliage, "While he scouts out, better grab our inventory and see what we'll need" he grumbled for a moment with realization, "Should have gone with him, Need to see what were up against. Hopefully Talon will map out the area and give us a good idea what were looking at."

 

[Talon Vizsla]

Talon walked slowly towards his location; were he to be spotted he didn't want to immediately seem suspicious.
Seconds later, he heard talking.
"Yeah, ship came in from the other direction, probably flying towards the civilization...No, didn't look heavily gunned enough to take out the Tie's...don't worry, boss, they probably don't know where you are...yes, I'll be careful...signing out."
Talon grabbed a pistol and then stopped himself; better take this the easy way. He activated his cloaking device and walked past the man, careful to stay a good distance away. The things tech could do never ceased to amaze him...
