((This class is only for the following Jedi, Akacen Mothturus(Knight) ; Kendra Dan-Dover(Padawan) ; Dain Graf(Padawan) ; Aer'kyl Thorn(Padawan). Other than that I will try and pick you up on my second go around.))

Gaius had received his orders to move his men from the training installation orbiting Coruscant and make there way to Tython as they would be participating in a training exercise with the Jedi. Once aboard the assault Carrier Wraith, they jumped to Hyper space into the orbit Of Tython. As they came out of hyperspace Gaius looked on the remains of the massive ship that was the Will of the Force, it had been almost a year and they were still cleaning it up, a reminder that no matter how powerful you were you still were vulnerable, a lesson he hoped the entire alliance learned.

Gaius would wait until his future student would arrive, four of them, all of them Jedi, The council had requested that they be introduced to some of the GA weaponry and tactics, personally he wanted to put them through one the training simulators on the ship, but the higher ups choose o have a live fire exercise on the planets surface. Gaius stood on the instructors bridge looking of the thousands of GA recruits present on the ship, to his right out the hatch and could see some of the Jedi transports already arriving, he would meet them in the troop staging area once 0600 rolled around.

Akacen had already had communications with the character, it was 10 minutes to 0600. He was always early, and had not failed in this endeavor since he first joined.

It had been about a year since Akacen had last been active in the Galactic Alliance Defense Force, which was now fully incorporated into the New Jedi Order. It was a bit different than before, but still basically the same.

He needed to get back into the swing of things and hoped, after learning that his classmates were but Padawans with absolutely no military experience that he would not be held back by them.

Regardless, he made his way in a fighter he had borrowed from the Order, a rather out of date 'Jedi Starfighter' that most certainly wouldn't last in a fight. While he certainly wasn't an 'Ace' by any means, he had learned how to fly by an old friend, and it had come in handy. He had gotten a bit better during his time in the GADF, but it wasn't his forte by any means. He would rather be behind the scenes and helping to organize assaults and other such endeavors.

He landed within the minute and exited the cockpit with little delay. Looking around, he didn't notice any recent arrivals, just soldiers milling about. He wasn't sure if anyone else had arrived, but it didn't matter.

He made his way expediently to the staging area, where he was told to meet with the instructor, where he would wait for his arrival, along with the others'.

The shuttle’s landing ramp deployed, and inside stood Kendra, garbed in her hooded green tunic and a mahogany overcoat. Her buckled leather boots carried her down the ramp and into the shuttle bay of the Wraith, and she glanced to the screen of her data pad to double-check where she was supposed to meet the instructor for the training session.

There were soldiers and technicians strewn about the path to her instructor. Kendra maintained a professional façade, but she was legitimately excited about the exercise that lied ahead. She’d heard that it would involve live fire, although she wasn’t sure if there was any legitimacy to that rumor. Still, she hoped it was accurate; it would be a first for her, something she desired to experience.

Soon she stood in the staging area, spotting Akacen there. She recognized him from another class. Giving him a nod, she stood ready, waiting for the others to arrive and the session to beign.

Aer'kyl arrived to the assault carrier, leaving the ship he had flown in on. He had managed to board a ship already bringing supplies there, and didn't feel his comfort should mean he make others put in more work. The pilot had seemed nice enough, though he had only spoken about five sentences, one of which was simply whatever, to Aer'kyl since he asked him if he could come along.

As he started to walk, he looked down, checking to make sure his lightsaber was hidden from view, his normal habit. Then, beginning to walk the halls, he headed to the area he was told to go to. When he reached it, after having a rather awkward, but brief conversation with a trooper that wondered why he was out of uniform, having missed the fact he was a Jedi, he entered and noticed two others already, a man, not much older than Aer'kyl, and a red haired woman. Giving a quick nod to the others, in case his entrance made one of them look, he, then, began to get his mind ready for whatever was planned.

Lt Vander heard of a training exercise with the jedi. He could not miss a opportunity to show the jedi how real solders fight.

Has the shuttle made it's landing run he gathered all his gear. Walking down the hall he got looks from the crew he knew his badge showed him has a member of the special forces branch and men either loved them or want to get in fight to proof something to there friends. But all solders even there enemies respected them. No one challenged him has he walked done the hall way.

Walking in to the room he put his back down. "Good day people"

"Lieutenant Xylona" Giaus answered with a grunt as he was broke out of a deep thought, "The Platoon is formed sir, one trainee UA." Gaius gave the Sargent a nod and made his way down the steppes and around the training area. As he entered the room he looked over his first class. "Officer on deck!" All the the GA soldiers in the room snapped to attention, "At ease! Good morning ladies and gents welcome to the Wraith, I am Lieutenant Gaius Xylona of the Blue Wing of the forty forth Orbital Drop Shock Battalion, I will be guiding you through this period of instruction."

"The Jedi Cousil and my commanding officers have ordered me to train you in Basic and intermediate squad tactics, when and only when you pass my inspection will you earn your prospective ranks." Gaius looked around the room making sure to catch the eyes of each of his special guests. "The first thing you must realize is most of the men you will fight with will not be force sensitive, as GA soldiers we are taught to never say never, this is the tricky part, because it it is up to you to know when fight and when to run. sacrificing and entire platoon to save one man, a mistake more and more common in Jedi and GA Commanders alike, going off mission on a hunch, getting lazy, and being and all around shit bird will Not be allowed in my fleet, Do you Get me!"

"Today we will go over the arsenal of the GA form the M15 all the way up to the Mat 54. once I think you can handle these weapons systems without blowing yourself or others up, we will move to the live fire training mission we have set up on the planets surface, ladies and gentle men this will be a Hot Jump, meaning you will not be taking bulk transports down, so I hope you brought your red slippers, your about to be a long way from home...please follow me to the armoury."

Gaius turned and made his way to the elevator when he was intercepted by a runner, " Sir I need your signature authorize the ammo and weapons draw." with a quick flick of his hand she signed and handed the private back the tablet he then waited for his students to join him on the elevator.

In comparison to those around him, Akacen performed a rather lackluster salute to his peer as he entered. While he wasn't arrogant to think he was a better soldier than this man, indeed, he had signed up for the class, he would show that he was not to be underestimated and that he already knew quite a bit.

However, he had only been a part of the GADF for about 4 years now, as a lieutenant. During this time he only commanded small groups of land forces on rather special missions. As such he didn't have must experience with ranged weapons, or even vehicles of any type. He was a decent enough pilot, but his hours weren't quite as numerous as, he assumed, the lieutenant before him.

He was rather excited for the exercise. He remembered doing a couple of these and they were always heart-racing. Now that this was strictly an exercise, he'd have fun with it.

Akacen followed, rather nonchalantly, lieutenant Vander to the elevator completely silent. He was readying his mind and the force around him and within him for the coming tasks. It was rather subtle because they wouldn't be that difficult, and this was more out of habit than conscious will.

At the comment by the soldier, Akacen raised his eyebrow; he certainly wouldn't be fighting himself. Akacen already thought fighting with lightsabers was almost barbaric, as any fighting was. But hand-to-hand? That was just unimpressive to him.

That was his first thought, though. He realized that it would be a good skill to have if one lost their weapon, especially one without the Force at his side. However, Akacen was not lacking as such and, therefore, didn't see the rational in learning such primitive skills.

The ranking officer approached, and Kendra stood a little stiffer. Some of the others saluted, so she threw one out as well. She didn’t want to piss off her instructor, even if she thought saluting was a little ridiculous in and of itself. Standing before him and listening to his every word, she restrained a grin; she definitely liked his style. It was difficult not to admire his no-bullshit attitude. Everyone certainly knew who was in charge.

They began moving, and she observed how the officer dismissively dealt with his subordinates. While she felt the military lifestyle would suit her well, her stubbornness and confrontational nature would no doubt get her in serious trouble in the GADF… Not that those traits served her particularly well among the Jedi, either.

While she had no delusions that the exercise ahead of her would be an easy one, she was excited to handle firearms of any kind. During her many excursions to Tatooine, she recalled with fondness the days of her friend Paddock teaching her to shoot and disassemble a blaster pistol and a slug thrower. She felt as though she had a solid understanding of the mechanics of the weapons, and enjoyed maintaining them in meticulous detail. They were generally frowned on among the Jedi, the only reason that she did not have one of her own.

One of the men asked about hand-to-hand combat. That would be an interesting prospect; she’d learned techniques for this type of fighting from the Echani and from the Jedi, but never from GADF soldiers. Idly, she wondered how their style would compare. She doubted hand-to-hand combat was common in firefights, when you could shoot a man dead at a hundred meters; still, it was better to be trained and never use it than to need it and not be trained.

Derick looked his fellow class mates over. He was not impressed. They may be good fighters but they where no solders. They where laking in something a certain quality.

Lieutenant... that's a higher rank, right? No matter... Rank doesn't mean that insanely much to me. Knowledge associated with said rank does, and since I have no rank with the Alliance military, and no real knowledge of the Alliance, he knows more than me. That's good enough for me.

Following suit, Aer'kyl rose his hand in salute, not fully understanding the motion. He sensed it meant some sort of respect to the man. Aer'kyl kinda like an idiot, having been so isolated as a kid to not know these things. Well, he would learn now.

Listening to the Lieutenant's words, he took them to heart. He would do his best to remember them, since with the Sith doing so much lately, he would need them.

He would enjoy this, learning things he felt he should have already known. He wouldn't even be upset if the man took the soldier's wish to fight Jedi seriously. It would only make him a better fighter, and strengthen the other as well.

"As Sexy as that sounds no, We don't have time for **** **** games, and on a personal note I don't think you can beat me let alone a Jedi, if you could you would not be here." Gaius smirked slightly with his last comment, it was more of a joke than an insult, but he did like to see that his students were hungry. As the Elevator came to a quick stop, Gaius excused himself to the front and led his class out as they entered the Armoury and Range Deck. The noise on this level was defendin, and if you weren't used to it, would come as a shock, even Gaius was a screaming at this point just to be heard.

"Welcome to The Armory, on a normal day you will spin a lot of time here pulling weapons and receiving ammunition for various operations."
Gaius turned around and cleared his throat, "At ease!" The room quickly began to get quiet. "Morning Gents I wont keep you long as we have a much to do in a small window of time, so in a way, everything is going as it should. 1st platoon pack your shit you get to play boots today, 3rd through froth carry out the training schedule until drop time, as you were Gents."

As the platoon joined some of them nodded to the Jedi, most were clearly war torn, but all of them were close, either thrashing or war they all had become a unit, if Gaius could cry he would. As he lead them to the first station he stopped behind a line of tables, each had a full tactical load out for a Alliance soldier. "Now in the interest we will go through each set of weaponry as quickly as possible, smallest to biggest."

Gaius picked up a rifle and quickly cleared it, "this is the M15 MDEWS Blaster rifle of the Alliance, most of the men you will command will be armed with this weapon, A high-powered blaster rifle this bay it completely modeler, this baby can be fit anything from a grenade launcher to a Shotgun, a backup iron sight on the rail system, tritium low light targeting system which feeds right into your brain bucket. low ammo capacity but that shouldn't be a huge issue since we don't miss do we boys?" the soldiers around him began to laugh, their confidence even inspired the more green recruits who had just be assigned to the unit.

Next Gaius picked up another blaster riffle a bit bigger than the one before, "the ER64, less popular that the M15 but it has its uses, mainly close combat, clearing rooms and all around asskickery. not built for range, make sure you check your target finder before you start wasting ammunition, but never hesitate to use it for suppressive fire on the open battle field."

Gaius heaved the next weapon system of the cold metal table, "The ER40, the Ga defiantly didn't give the contract to the lowest bidder when they ordered this baby, this bitch packs a punch, and on top of it it is effective at long range, rips through battle Armour like tissue paper. Besides the standard reflex scope this monster can be fitted with a 4x scope for your designated marksmen, so don't be surprised if your undies turn into a moist towelette."

Gaius Then turned to the long barreled rife on the next table, "This is the ESR9, it's the sniper package provided by the GA, I've seen skilled operatives take down two Sith scum at once with this thing, 12x scope with infrared capabilities."

The last table with fire arms held two pistols, he would address these two wepons together to give contrast. "Here we have the CER78 or PDW if your nasty, this is a fully automatic handgun, at 950 RPS it will tear to shit any enemy infantry, this in my opinion makes up for what it lacks in range and caliber size, this is my personal choice for combat, and frankly my love for this weapon borders on the erotic." Gaius then turned to the next pistol,"And last but not least we have the K8 or 'Katie' could blow the horns off a ton-ton, it has some kick to it so those of you with limp wrists need not apply." After he was done she stepped in front of the tables with his hands behind his back and his feet shoulder length apart, "alright to the right of us are the firing ranges, you will have some time to familiarize your self with your choice load out, You will execute weapons safety on my Range! Well don't stand their and dream about me, go bust come caps!" Walking up and down the range Gaius would watch each of the students, and critique them when nessisary.

Dreik looked the jedi up and down. He rather doubted they could hold there own in a fist fight. But any case.

Derik listened to the explanations of the weapons. Though he was part of the GADF his unit was a special force unit. This allowed him to use a weapon of his choice. And for him the venerable A280 was the best thing means to kill any body. It was heavy had a slow re fire rate and the long barrel made CQC a bad option. But it packed hell of a punch was accurate and had range.

Looking over the weapons before him derik picked up a scoped ER40. After performing a safety check a fast adjustment of the sites. And the fun began. Firing in rapped successions at the farthest target down range. After firing 5 in the standing dropping to the kneeling then sitting and last prone. after clearing the weapon he replaced it.

The verbiage used by soldiers wasn't particularly missed by Akacen, but he was still used to it. The claim that the non-Jedi soldier could take them on in a fist fight was probably true. At least for Akacen. But this fact was rather moot as, in real battle, he had the Force; such a man would have quite the difficult time getting close to him, never mind touching him.

He just raised an eyebrow at the man and otherwise ignored him.

When they were told they would be working on ranged weapons, he was rather disheartened. He had never needed to wield one and, in fact, had never held one before. He listened intently to each description and remembered each one to the best of his ability. Which happened to be most of it.

Akacen watched as Derik went right to it. It was rather impressive, but he just reminded himself that such toys were less than useful against a skilled Jedi. At any rate, he picked up the K8 and, from watching Derik, discerned where some of the components were, but still had pretty much no clue what he was looking at. Looking it over twice, he finally found the safety switch, but left it on until he got to the range and was ready to shoot.

Basically, all he knew was that you pulled the trigger and it shot. Finding a spot 2 sections away from Derik, he aimed at a close-range target. Taking a few moments he aimed until he was certain of the trajectory of the projectile. Tensing his hands, wrists and forearms, with a little of the force flowing through him, he finally fired one shot out of the pistol.

He didn't blink, and his hands were hardly kicked back by the shot. He found that he had hit the target, in the shape of a human, dead in the right shoulder. He was aiming for the chest...
