The Rebellion was growing. As discontent spread throughout the Empire, supporters began flocking to the fledgling Alliance. Dantooine should have been the end but became a beginning. Jedi Master Aurora Blackwood had once refused to join that Rebellion. She had insisted the time was not right. How wrong she had been. The galaxy was rapidly changing. She found herself at the forefront of a revolution. A new generation of Jedi was taking shape. Molded by those few of them that remained. Aurora was a much a Rebel as she was Jedi. The Order could not survive without the Alliance.

That was what brought her to Anoat. She stood near the very man who had convinced her to finally fight back. She had never, and would never, tell Val he had been right. Aurora preferred to let her actions speak. The Alliance was attempting to gain favor on Anoat, but that entailed removing certain troublesome elements. The ever greedy Czerka corporation was a roadblock to the Rebellion efforts. They needed to be removed. That would be much easier ff Czerka embassy was not running at full capacity. Their mission was simple, trash the embassy, pin it on the employees, and steal whatever valuable intel there was. Easy.

Aurora came dressed for the job. If she was going to pretend to be a boring corporate bee she might as well convincingly look the part. Her lightsaber and blaster were carefully hidden elsewhere on her person. She ran a hand and turned towards Val. They were a couple blocks away from the Embassy. Now appeared the best time to formulate a plan. As always, her Force signature was suppressed to avoid revealing her talents. Her mental walls carefully constructed. “I’ll take any brilliant ideas on how to get inside.” In another era it would have been simple. A waggle of the fingers and a suggestion in the Force. They had to be far more careful. “Czerka is paranoid even out here.” Stealing identity badges would likely be easiest. @Orbit

Valentine wouldn't mention anything either, taking his victory silently as Aurora stood next to him. He was glad she decided to join even though she would never tell him and that was obvious by now, not having said a peep about it since they first met. But Val focused his mind, now the two of them somewhere completely different from the beautiful view where he found her and are now conducting a mission. He was dressed around the same as Aurora, more formal than anything else as he had his blaster and lightsabers hidden as well under his clothing. Val was silent during their walk, thinking on just the mission himself while they closed the distance. It was a simple objective but had its own complexities in it and it gave a view on how Aurora actually operated.

Like Aurora, his signature was suppressed as well and his mind carefully guarded just the same. You never know what you'd come across and it'd be better to be over prepared than underprepared. When she spoke he turned his gaze to her, listening before arching an eyebrow slightly at her. "Let's actually see what the building looks like before we make our plans." Val was about to step forward before stopping and turning slightly back to Aurora, giving her a half smile before small tilt of the head, "Glad you could me on this." He couldn't completely be quiet about him being right and her joining in the fight practically against the galaxy.

Val led the way, shifting closer to Aurora as he easily slipped his arm around her waist and pulled her in while they walked down the street. Aurora would see him turn his gaze to her, offering her a perfect smile and practically looking smitten with her as they started to pass by the embassy. But she would see Val from time to time quickly look to the embassy, taking the precious seconds each time to access the layout, guards, camera's and whatever else they needed. It was quite a large building, a gate surrounding the entire thing with four guards out by the front, one of them holding a PDA while they spoke to each person that requested to be let inside. Val sighed, their job a little bit harder now.

When they reached the other side of the street and out of view of the embassy, he slipped his arm away from her before speaking, "ID's won't work, they have a man at the gate check each person who enters. There's a couple group of guards throughout the front garden too, two each a squad. The front entrance is pretty much out of the question." Val looked back to her, "You catch anything interesting?"

Her eyes rolled into the back of her head as Val poked at her. She knew he couldn’t help himself. “Hilarious. Aurora followed him out into the street, allowing him to slip his arm around her waist. Deep breath, play the part. In a moment, she was smiling warmly at Val. She laughed at some feigned joke and playfully put a hand on his chest. It gave her the perfect chance to gaze at the embassy as they walked by. Her eyes raked over the building, looking for any hint of a way in. Aurora and Val were just two love birds to the other passersby’s.

Unfortunately, their real purpose was far more frustrating. As they ended up past the building she sighed in frustration. She had seen much the same as Val. “Agreed, we’d have to fight our way in the front and then this would all be pointless.” A small frown formed on her face. “Hard to trick a PDA, and I didn’t exactly see anything fascinating.” Aurora ran a hand through her blonde hair. “A place this big has to be stocked somehow, there has to be a service or delivery entrance….come on.” Aurora grabbed his hand and resumed their act.

She wandered them around the side of the building. Her gaze snagged on a large garage door. There were two guards on either side of the door, and a large keypad beside one of the guards. That was far more promising. Aurora leaned in to plant a kiss on Val’s cheek, giving her the chance to really eye the guards. Oh yes, little swipe cards were attached to the belts of the guards. She kept leading them past the building until they were safely in another side street. “Now that’s a way in, if we can get the guards down without making a scene.” That would be the hardest part but she had a little bit of an idea about that. “We aren’t exacting overflowing with options. The longer they screwed around, the less likely they were to get in. They needed to make a decision sooner rather than later. @Orbit

Inspections of the premises of contractor who worked with the Empire... why did he get the feeling someone had pulled some strings to get him stuck on busy work? It wasn't a hard gig really. Check the security of a company that did business with the Empire and make sure that their security was up to scratch. By all means it should be simply as pie but, as Sith, the Galaxy had a way of complicating a lot of things.

Dressed in his customer Sith armour, armed with both of his lightsabers (one in his right hand but not activated yet, the other hidden in his robes on the left hand sight) and his Imperial blaster pistol strapped in to his lower back, Eddard probably looked quite the sight. He knew that his half mask was somewhat intimidating and already some of the security employees of Czerka were giving him odd looks but he didn't much care.

Instead he was patrolling around the company premises and he was checking for ways that he would actually attempt to enter, were he doing this as an Intelligence operation. The garage was the obvious weak point and as he was patrolling he stopped as he noticed a man and a woman, dressed in business suits, looking at the garage door. He tilted his head to the side slightly, staring at them with his mask flashing it's permanent, tortured, smile at them.

He idly waved at the two of them with his free hand as they walked away from the side of the building.

What kind of couple took a romantic stroll past the garage entrance? He was probably just being paranoid but that was something he was known for it had to be said. And besides...

It wasn't paranoia if they really were out to get you.

"Nice cut on the man's suit, no?" he asked his partner for this assignment, "Though the woman's was definitely off the rack. Tacky."

Varyn was less than thrilled about this particular job, but it was an easy assignment, wasn't it? All he had to do was examine some contractor building for weak points, which shouldn't have been too hard for him. He'd broken into enough buildings of his own that he just had to look for what he would have done.

While Varyn had his regular gear in place, he wasn't quite as terrifying looking as Eddard. Most of his clothing and gear was designed to blend in and not draw attention. In fact, the only notable item he had on him was the small sword at his waist, with all the other items hidden away. Varyn was looking to the building as Eddard watched the man and woman, pointing them out to Varyn.

Of course, if the two of them could have heard the woman speak about bringing down the guards right now, that would have triggered a fight out of the gate, but he couldn't hear her right now. He looked over across the way at the pair, not yet reaching for his saber, but his senses of course on high alert.

Who dresses up like that for a walk around the garage of a contract building? he grumbled. A date? Pretty crap date out here, but people were full of all kinds of weird ideas. Varyn rolled his eyes at the PDA. Get a room, he muttered. @Orbit @Valen Pelora @Nefieslab

Val could already sense them and he knew there was trouble. With both of their signatures already disguised and themselves, they weren't in immediate danger but now they had to leave. As much as he wanted to stay, it wasn't worth it taking on an embassy and some Sith. Another time as the two boys told them to get a room and find somewhere else, Val laughed softly giving his wife a dazzling smile, "I guess we can't fulfill our dreams of making love in the embassy." He gave her a quick kiss on the lips, "C'mon honey, time to try and cross something else off our bucket list." Linking the two's arms together, Val led Aurora, arm in arm like the couple they pretended to be and walked away from the embassy and the two boys.

Seemed that the couple looked about ready to leave. Eddard wasn't exactly getting good vibes from them but his paranoia was real. He couldn't help but be naturally suspicious of them both. It wasn't that there was actually any real evidence of wrong doing - it was just a feeling that he had. Probably was nothing but if it was nothing? He would accept the punishment and the paperwork that came with it. But that nagging feeling at the back of my mind said otherwise. He tilted his head again.

"I'm not sure." He whispered to Varyn, "Detain for questioning I'm feeling."

Nothing wrong with just making sure after all.

He ignited his lightsaber in his right hand as he called out to the couple, beginning to call the Force to himself to ready it for use. Eddard was... a paranoid man to say the least. But you were only paranoid if they weren't actually out to get you.

"Excuse me! Mr and Mrs - come back here!" He held his lightsaber in his hand, squeezing the handle tightly, "We are detaining you for questioning. I trust you will comply?"

He... expected them not to. But he was a paranoid man. The threat implied by his ignited saber was rather heavy handed but in his experience people tended to fold under such threats. They either broke and ran or they understood and complied.

Varyn's gut was beginning to churn and the back of his mind seemed to prickle with every passing moment. Hostility notably through the air, not necessarily from the couple, but there was from Eddard for certain. He wasn't sure if this was going to devolve into a fight, but if it was, he was going to be ready. What were the odds this couple was trouble? Probably low, but if Eddard was going to check it out, Varyn was going to go with him. At worst, the couple would be delayed for a few hours. They would live.

The Force bent to Varyn's hand, and his other hand reached for his saber but didn't ignite it. Eddard had already done that, which was perhaps a bit on the heavy-handed side, but the assassin wasn't going to complain. It was - arguably - not unwarranted. A Sith who wasn't careful was usually a dead Sith shortly thereafter.

The Sith's eyes ran slowly over the pair, alert to their movements and ready to interdict, but other than making his way toward the two who were now only about fifteen meters away, but he didn't actually engage with them at all. There was no attack and no speaking yet, but if things went sideways, he was ready to react in an instant. @Orbit @Valen Pelora @Nefieslab

OOC: Yikes, sorry about getting passed wasn’t aware the rule had changed for 2v2.

Aurora took the hint from Val. He had sensed the extra guards just as she had. The Sith weren’t exactly hidden. Well, one of them certainly wasn’t. Nothing had changed about the way Aurora carried herself. She would be nothing in the Force but a normal citizen, she would appear to be nothing but a normal citizen. She laughed as Val spoke, running her hand down his leg. “Mmmmm, what a shame.” She grabbed his ass for effect and started to walk away. That was when the Sith moved. In her mind, they were a true married couple.

Aurora and Val were facing the Sith, about 15 meters away. Val and Aurora appeared like two regular business folks. They wore business attire and were still locking arms. Aurora was certainly surprised that Czerka would bring in Sith for their embassy. Anoat was not an Imperial world and was not particularly influential. Val and Aurora were facing the Sith when the aggressive one pulled out his Lightsaber, shouted at them to stop, and started waiving the laser sword around. The Sith were far enough away that Aurora could keep an eye on both of them without giving the appearance of eyeing either.

Now, her reaction was what was truly critical. As soon as the first Sith started to call out after them her eyes widened in surprised, her hand rising to her mouth. The reaction of someone shocked they were being stopped, even more shocked by the man stopping them. Her eyes grew even wider when he pulled the lightsaber out, she screamed when it was ignited. A scream full with fear. A scream of a woman who had never seen a saber and had no idea what the kriff was happening. The embassy was in a populace part of town. Val and Aurora had not slunk away into the shadows, there were civilians still walking the street. Even more importantly, they were not even on Czerka embassy property. In her mind, each and every response and emotion were real. She was the fearful wife.

Aurora had spent seven decades hiding, faking who she was. She was an excellent actor and used every ability she had. She believed what she said and felt. “P-p-please leave us alone. W-we didn’t mean anything, we just wanted to s-s-spice things up.” She could feel the tears welling. “Anoat is not an Imperial World, we are not on Embassy property. This is my i-idiot husbands stupid idea. P-p-please just let us go back to work. We d-d-don't want anymore trouble.” The Sith drawing his giant shining sword was drawing a lot of attention and many of the civilians were already screaming and running in fear. Others stood just in pure shock. @Orbit @Phoenix @Nefieslab

The part she hated most about looking for her marks was the waiting. Just because she was leading a clan that was rapidly rising to prominence and making headlines, it didn’t mean she wasn’t doing her bounty hunting job on the side. Now that her clan was gaining attention, it made her reputation in the galaxy all the more terrifying. Sith media outlets everywhere blasted reports of the Mandalorians with the badger insignia that were terrorizing Imperials everywhere. Other clans had begun to take notice, but Raz purposely held off on any friendships just yet considering how long her clan had been alienated.

So she was here, waiting atop a building in her trademark armor. She didn’t care how recognizable it was now, especially as it now had more weight than ever. Raz picked up a contract to bring in a Czerka official for a large amount of credits. He was worth more alive than dead, and she decided today would be the day she would bring him in. She had been propped up atop the building to look for patterns in security and the official himself.

Raz looked through the scope of her rifle, her helmet off for now. She had a cigarra hanging from the corner of her lips, preparing to put the rifle down and make her move. That was when she noticed movement below, and she cursed as two people made their way near the entrance she had been eyeing. She did a double take when she spotted a figure she recognized, though it was strange to see him in civilian clothing.

She half pondered on going down to say hello, but she spotted the woman next to him and their obviously very intimate gestures, “Well, well, good for you, Mud,” She chuckled to herself and shook her head, waiting for them to pass so she could get back to her job. That was when she saw two other figures approaching them.

Raz couldn’t quite make out who this was, but she saw the unmistakable sight of a lightsaber. Her eyes widened and she realized today was her lucky day. Screw her target when she could potentially kill two Sith. Without another thought, Raz released her rifle, grabbed her helmet and walked off the edge of the building.

Her jetpack carried her towards the group, and she landed with a thud on the ground near the four. Her helmet was back on her head and she slowly rose to stand to her full height, facing the Sith with the saber, “Hey, shitstain, stop waving your dick around, this ain’t Sith space,” She had her blaster drawn as she looked at the Sith. However, after a moment, her eyes narrowed beneath the helmet. Next, her eyes traveled down to the man’s….yep, it was the prosthetic leg, “Oh, you’ve got to be kriffing with me,” She didn’t know whether to laugh or shoot.

Valentine and Aurora seemed to pass as the normal couple, walking away from the two Sith before one of them called out for two to stop. While there back was still turned he let out a soft sigh, of course, they were going to be persistent over this somehow. When they turned back around the Sith's lightsaber was already on and holding it out in the open, making everyone nearby scream in panic at the sudden sight of the Sith. The other didn't seem to be as heavily enganged in this detaining as the first and before Val could react Aurora screamed as loud as she could, still maintaining the cover of being the terrified wife. She continued to speak, stuttering and adding the effect to pass it off.

That's when he heard the small engines of a jetpack, Val looking over as he now saw a fully armed Mandalorian land on the ground next to all four of them. Even with the helmet, Val recognized her instantly, her signature familiar to him now and he couldn't really believe it was actually Pip. When she poke it practically confirmed it for him however despite already knowing. No matter what happened, it seemed like they couldn't just stop running into each other. Either way, the Sith had stopped them for "detainment" and most likely wouldn't leave them alone again so Val looked towards Aurora, giving her the look to get out of the situation and leave. If one of them got out he would be content with that and he gave her a slight push in the direction to leave as he turned back to look at Pip with both of the Sith in his view.

Val didn't know how she would receive this but he hoped it worked, "What the hell Raz?" He declared at her in anger, pulling out a blaster as he turned his attention back to the Sith, "What took you so long to decide to jump in?" Val played as the undercover Mandolorian now, "I didn't know you needed that much of confirmation for sabers." His hand tightened around his blaster, his sabers still beneath his clothing and within easy reach of his other hand. Val still hadn't reached for it as he waited to see what the other two would do and what Pip would personally do. He had his senses alert, as he glanced between her and the one with saber active, Raz not seeing that happy to see him.

What fresh hells was this?

The woman started babbling and Eddard was about to shut his lightsaber off, content that she was just some sobbing woman, and apologise when it all went to kark. Instead of deactivating his lightsaber, his eyes widened and he held it in a guard across his chest as his other hand drew his blaster pistol.

He made no move to attack however as he recognised the signature of the woman descending. He shook his head to signal Varyn not to attack either and he barely reacted when the man from before drew a pistol. He did, however, speak as the other man was busy confirming he was allies with Raz.

"You're not paranoid if they really are out to get you." he quoted lightly from behind his mask before adding, honestly, "I'll admit it was luck though."

He held his lightsaber in guard in front of his chest, his blaster pistol loosely at his side and the Force ready to be used, almost begging like an eager puppy to be used. Eddard smiled behind his mask and it was annoyingly genuine.

"Good afternoon Raz." he greeted her with a ghost of warmth, "I found out what it might be on my end by the way..."

There was a tension in the air as Eddard's lightsaber guard dipped slightly lower.

"Apparently I might love you. Maybe. It's all very confusing."

The woman shrieked as the two approached causing more people to scream in the background. Basically, the whole street sounded like a high school basketball game on homecoming night.

This was getting out of hand. That feeling of concern was ever growing and the sound of a jetpack and a Mandalorian hitting the ground only made things worse. The man pulled out a blaster, which prompted Varyn's lightsaber to come out, blazing into the sunlight. He was about ready to make his move when Eddard made a motion to stop him.

Wait, Eddard knew this person? Wait, the man knew this woman? WAIT, DID HE KNOW THIS WOMAN? Her voice, armor, demeanor... it all seemed vaguely familiar to him, and it took a moment to place it. That moment seemed to drag on and on as everyone looked shiftily at one another. Varyn was quite tense.

Oh, but it was going to get worse. Right about at this point, Eddard decided to massively overshare, and the shiftiness only got worse. Eddard promptly began professing his love for the Mandalorian - apparently her name was Raz? - and the Sith assassin began wondering what type of surreal place he had set foot in.

What the kriff is going on here, he asked himself, beginning to serious consider that there were no answers. Was Eddard trying to play some long con? Was there something obvious that Varyn was completely missing? Was he supposed to be doing something? Well, he just stood there awkwardly with growing discomfort at Eddard's oversharing that had to have shown on his face. @Sreeya @Nefieslab @Valen Pelora @Orbit

What. The. Kriff. Aurora had been fairly proud of her impersonation of a terrified wife. In fact, she thought it had been effective. The Sith seemed convinced, folks were running all over the place, and the authorities must have been called. Unfortunately, the Force had other ideas for what would happen that day. She wasn’t really sure if it was funny or tragic. Really just incredible strange. One thing she was certain of, she was entirely finished with being here.

As the Sith completed their hullabaloo a Mandalorian landed smack dab in their midst. Aurora had spent most of her life in the Outer Rim, but she didn’t live under a rock. She knew a well armored Mandalorian when she saw one. She also knew her history and the part those warriors had played in the destruction of the Order. What shocked her most was the woman appeared to be on their side. The armor was recognizable, the Mandalorian’s pillaging the Empire had begun to gain a reputation. Well, at least the woman would likely hate the Sith more than a pair of wandering lovers.

Of course, Val seemed to have other ideas on that as well. He completely blew their cover pretending to know the woman or be a Mandalorian agent. Kriff, did he actually know this chick? She asked herself again, what the kriff was going on? Aurora hadn’t taken her eyes off the Sith or the newcomer while all of this transpired. She had picked up on Val’s subtle hint to leave and frankly was glad for it. This was turning into something she wanted no part of. One of them had to escape and she trusted Val maybe knew what he was doing. She would have some serious questions for him later.

As Aurora backed away while Val pulled his blaster, never turning her back, things got even weirder. The Lightsaber wielding Sith confessed his love for the Mandalorian. Yup, she was leaving. This was all too kriffing odd. Continuing to watch the awkward love exchange she backed all the way up into the nearest alley. Once she was safely out of sight she took off running towards the safe house. A change of clothes and passport off this kriffing planet waited for her there. This day was just too damn weird.

Raz was flabbergasted at running into Eddard yet again. What was it that kept bringing them to the same place together? Come to think of it, why was Val here? She looked over to the Sith standing next to Eddard and surveyed him quietly. He didn’t look familiar to her, and she certainly didn’t have any magical abilities to ‘sense’ whether she knew him or not. Her gaze flickered back to Eddard. She wasn’t thrilled at the prospect of fighting him, but she wouldn’t hesitate if he truly intended to cause her harm.

As Val piped up all of a sudden and pretended to be a Mando, she bristled with rage. A part of her wanted to deck him for even thinking that was the role to play. Nevertheless, she kept her cool, gazing ahead and hearing the woman that was with Val shuffle away. Raz had no intentions of letting harm come to her, not when she was a poor, defenseless civilian that had done no wrong save for somehow finding someone as infuriating as Val to be her lover.

Before she had the chance to respond, Eddard began to speak. He first spoke to Varyn, muttering about his paranoia. Raz didn’t make any moves yet, her eyes on the saber in front of him. Her eyes flicked back and forth between him and the Sith next to him, assessing the situation. In her ideal scenario, no one would get hurt and they would all walk their separate ways. By then, the other woman was long gone, and it was just the four of them left.

Raz’s attention flicked back to Eddard as he began to speak. What he said next hit her worse than a pneumatic fist to the gut. She stood there in stunned silence for a few moments. Love? Her eyes were wide and she was petrified, and all the Force users around her would be able to tell she was not at all as calm as she appeared externally. She was completely caught off guard, her face growing intensely hot as he put her right on the spot. He kept his cool and was quite content with blurting out such powerful words nonchalantly.

She heard the Sith next to Eddard shift uncomfortably, and no doubt Val was doing the same. Raz’s mouth opened and closed a few times as if she had something to say, but nothing came out. That was when the stubborn side of her began to emerge – when she didn’t understand a situation she turned right to rage. Raz felt anger beginning to well up and she quickly made a hasty decision.

In the blink of an eye, she angled and fired a bolt from her blaster. It went directly at Eddard’s saber, angled in a way where it deflected right off and towards the Sith next to him. The Sith would have to immediately act to stop the bolt from coming his way. Raz didn’t bother to see the impacts of her shot, taking a second shot right at Eddard’s prosthetic foot, once again shooting it right off. It would immediately make him drop to the ground just like the last time they met.

Raz took a couple of steps back abruptly wrapped an arm around Val, pulling him into herself. Without a word, she took off with her jetpack, sending them propelling through the air. She clutched him close, tilting her head back as she charged far away from the scene that began to rapidly disappear behind them. Eddard’s words echoed inside her mind, but her adrenaline rush was pushing her now. Her blood was pumping through her veins, hot like magma as she jetted through the sky on her back and hoped Val had the sense to hold on.

She began to fly past a building and casually released Val, trusting his Jedi instincts to allow him to land safely atop the roof and far away from where the Sith could ever find him again. Raz remained in the sky and on her back, giving him a casual salute as she kept flying and vanished out of sight.

Once again remaining a strange mystery to anyone that ever tried to know her.

Valentine stared at the Sith with an active blade with his mouth nearly hanging open as well but maintaining to keep it closed. He slowly glanced between Pip and the Sith a few times, even the other one in the back not knowing how to act or what to do. "Well... this was... an interesting twist." Val murmured slowly as he his eyes went back between all three of them once, not really understanding what to do now either. He could feel the rage bubbling underneath the surface in Pip and he glanced over to her before she suddenly lifted her gun and shot a bolt toward the first Sith. She then fired another shot right into the man's fake leg and before he could react Pip wrapped her arm around him before taking off with the jetpack and into the air.

Suddenly the distance between the ground and him multiplied and he held onto Raz so he didn't completely fall off and drop to the street with a splat. She was silent the whole trip through the air and Val looked up, remembering that just before this happened that if she had been watching the whole time that he kissed Aurora and that then he tried to act like her accomplice. He had no idea why she still wanted to pick him up but Val decided to break the ice like he knew how with her,
"So... who's the lucky man?" Val couldn't help giving her shit and unfortunately, that was the moment she dropped him and lost the chance to hear her answer.

Val built the force around himself to soften his fall as he also rolled onto his shoulder before able to come up standing on his feet. He turned around to find Pip still in the air and on her back riding into the sunset while giving him a salute. The Jedi could only smirk before offering the same type of casual salute to her before turning to the edge of the building. He still had no idea what their relationship was between them but he was at least thankful for her getting him out there. Val looked down to the bottom of the street before simply stepping off and using the force in the same way and landing in an alleyway. With the appearance he kept when Pip showed, it looked like he had been just a Mandalorian undercover with her and it protected the identity of the GA for now

Val stepped out into the street and away from the embassy, looking for his own way off the planet and to rendezvous with the others.

Well that was expected.

Eddard grimaced slightly as he felt her confusion turn to anger and he managed to deflect the shot to his blade, by angling it differently, so that the deflection wasn't going anywhere near Varyn. It was only his experience with Raz that meant that he was already in the process of pulling his right leg backwards when she fired at it. In all honesty, he probably could have blocked it with his blade as well but he didn't think she was planning on sticking around.

She hadn't the last time he'd confused her this badly after all.

Still, with his movement backwards, he managed to save his foot from being destroyed... mostly. The front half of the replacement foot still exploded and he was rocked backwards onto his heels.

He may or may not have pinwheeled his arms a bit in an effort to stay standing - he would make sure he removed any and all video evidence. Watching as Raz flew away with her ally, Eddard frowned a little bit.

"She keeps doing that." he muttered to himself before glancing at Varyn as he deactivated his lightsaber, "I need a new foot."

He glanced down at the front half of his right foot, which ended abruptly with a sparking piece of metal, before glancing back up at Varyn.

"And a drink."

His foot sparked once before spinning to face the complete opposite direction, prompting him to need to balance on one leg.

"The drink first."

Varyn's saber flicked up to intercept the blaster bolt out of instinct. The fact that it never arrived didn't quite register with him and it still gave the others their opportunity to escape. So Mandos was what it had been. And after what had just happened, he had to assume the consulate had been the target. Varyn would have to alert the local security force, and probably should have gone to hunt them down, but he was still just in too much shock at what bizarre events had unfolded. Things were taking a turn for the surreal.

When he was satisfied that they weren't about to be attacked once again, he turned to Eddard with a deep, angry glare. Even if Eddard had lost a foot, Varyn wasn't satisfied. You have explaining to do, he said, pointing his saber at Eddard accusatorially before walking back toward the embassy to warn them and stopping.

Fine, let's go, he said, walking back to help Eddard hobble back toward the extract. Then maybe they would get a drink... and a new foot.
