The Exchange: A Thorn In Our Side

Another day at the Glorious Jewel, another day full of work for those not looking to relax here. While Nor'baal's palace still provided a great hideout for the members of the Exchange, where they were able to engage in unrestricted spice trade, relax and other numerous activities, not all was as well since the Hutt's retirement. Without Nor'baal's slimy... um, iron fist, problems arose, one after another. And where there were problems, only more problems piled up until someone solved them. And in here, that someone is the Exchange, once again. While some members still used their stay on the Glorious Jewel to relax and have fun, others found themselves to be here on duty. Even parts of the entire palace were changed into offices, as Nal'Hutta become more important for the Exchange to keep around. And today was especially busy day. Almost everyone seemed to be in hurry as they walked around the two newly-arrived men, a Trandoshian (@Professor pyg ) and the underboss of the Pact (@dblue095 ). However, as they stepped off their transport shuttle, they knew that they still needed to get a briefing of their mission. However, that didn't seem to be much of a problem, as a woman, probably a secretary, gestured at them to follow her.

As the trandoshan followed the secretary, he looked at his new comrade and found himself wondering what species he was, he looked similar to a human, but he had horns, Scarab decided not to ask. They were led into a briefing room and were told about the mission, they apparently had to set fire to a certain ship. "That'sss it? That doesn't seem difficult at all." Scarab said "will anyone be guarding this ship?" He asked. "Unlikely, but If there are, you must take them out silently, the whole point of this mission is to set fire to their ship 'discretely'" someone Scarab didn't know the name of said. "I assume that meansss no trapss" Scarab said, dissapointed.

David followed the female secretary. Taking the closest seat to him, he made himself comfortable in the room. While balancing himself on the chair with one foot on the floor, David gave a small chuckle to himself as he listened to the conversation. He saw the disappointment in the face of his yellow Trandoshian, then in a cocky voice he said, "So you are telling me if we somehow were to disguised ourselves, we still couldn't make something go boom." The same unknown person replied in a stern voice,"no." David's face lost a cocky smile, and gained an irritated frown.

The ship ride to the other side of Nal'Hutta wouldn't take long, but during flight Scarab's stomach rumbled, he perked up as this reminded him of something, he walked over to the nearest person, who was walking past in a hurry, he stopped the mission director and started speaking to him "So, Y'know how we have to be discrete." "Yes" the man answered irritably, "and if we kill someone, we can't let their body be found" "could you please get to the point, I'm a busy man you know!" "Oh I'm not questioning that, I just wanted to know, if a scenario where an, 'accident' does happen, can I possibly 'Eat' the body?" The trandoshan asked. the man sighed, "if you must, but that is not to say you should put the success of the mission at risk to find and kill them, only resort to killing if there is no other way." The man said sternly. "Well you don't have to worry about a thing." The Reptilian said whilst walking away from the human, a wide grin on his scaly face showing all of his teeth, like a crocodile.

David eyes popped out of his head when the yellow Transdoshian mentioned eating bodies. With a face full of disgust he said ",That's just foul isn't it." His back rose from his seat, and soon David was behind his ally. "If you give me a nightmare I swear, you're reptile."

When David took his first step off the ship, he took a look around. "It's been too long since I've been on this side of Nal'Hutta," he said in a nostalgic voice. He took note of group of humans who look like they would know something that could help their mission.

"If you give me a nightmare I swear, you're reptile." The human/Zabrak crossbreed said. "It's no different than eating any other meat, it's just raw, warm and bloody. You do eat meat, don't you?" The ship was coming into landing soon, Scarab quickly checked everything he had with him. His blaster rifle, ammo for his rifle, snare traps, vibroblade, electrostaff, his usual thermal detonators had been replaced with incendiary grenades, he also had the bottom half of a Roggwart leg. he picked this up and started tearing chunks of meat off of it with his teeth, which quickly turned red. "It's been too long since I've been on this side of Nal'Hutta" Scarabs comrade said. "I had never been on this planet until today." Scarab said, finishing off the meat of the leg and starting to gnaw on the bone, his rifle in his right hand. He looked at their surroundings, they were in a busy spaceport, they needed to find a private hangar, this is where they would find the targeted ship, and hopefully another snack, The trandoshan ran his snake-like tongue along his teeth, having already pulverised the bone.

David gave a small smile in amusement when he saw Scarabs naw on the bone of Roggwart. "I had never been on this planet until today." David smiled as he placed a hand on his ally, "Saying somethjng like that gives a guy more trust than anyone who will ever hire him on this planet."

With two blasters on his hip, and a bag on his back, the human with horns and mattes hair took charge and made a move towards the groups of humans he saw. He looked at Scarabs,"follow my lead,". He walked up turned to the group of smuggler and said," you guys know where a smuggler can find a job?"

Scarab didn't say anything whilst his Ally spoke to the group of shady people, presumably smugglers, who told the two Exchange members where the best place to find spice was, they said that there was a private hangar not too far away that contained a ship being used to trade spice, it's crew were currently celebrating themselves in a cantina here at the space port, and that if the two were to trade with them, they'd have to wait until they'd come out, "I'll take that into consideration." The reptilian said, he turned and walked towards the way the smugglers had told them to go, assuming that David would follow, halfway across the hangar bay, two security guards stopped Scarab, "excuse me sir, but your not allowed to carry weapons in here." The shrimpy one of the two said nervously, "is that so? Am I breaking the law?" The guard was now clearly shaking, terrified "let me handle this scum, rookie" the burly one said, he was clearly a high rank, as he had at least eight medals. "You are under arrest, criminal scum!" "Whatever for? I have done no wrong." "Are you stupid or something? NO WEAPONS!" The guard attempted to shove the trandoshan with one hand, but Scarab caught it, looked him in the eye and bared his teeth (which were still red) "you'll regret that." Scarab growled. The burly man gulped loudly, visibly sweating. Scarab despised this petty fool. He lunged, opened his jaw wide, And snapping it closed on the mans head, the guards face came off easily and Scarab took a step back. He spat out the piece of meat in his mouth and tossed a coin to the scrawny guard saying "for the mess." The money bounced off the mans forehead, he was still looking at the corpse of his former partner in horror. Scarab walked out of the hangar towards where his targets were, he planned to wait there for David.

"excuse me sir, but your not allowed to carry weapons in here." With his right hand gripping his blaster, David stood behind his comrade as he bite the face off of the guard. He thought to himself,"so much for not making a scene," before he would take out his blaster and point it at the other guard, look him in the eyes and say,"I'm sorry, but business is business." The scrawny guard landed on top of his partner. David turned to Scarab and shook his head at how reckless he was,"remember we have to be discreet or we won't get our credits." David continued to follow his Trandoshian friend in the crowded spaceport. David sat his bag in front of him and started searching around. When he reached in he pulled out a bunch of thermal charges,"you ready to make some ships go boom."

Scarab turned around when he heard blaster fire, he hadn't realised that David was behind him. "Remember we have to be discreet or we won't get our credits." His ally said. 'Speaking of credits' the trandoshan thought as he bent down to pick up the coin he had tossed to the guard, whilst he was down there, he ate half a forearm. Scarab stood up, and continued walking towards the private hangar.

When they were standing outside the hangar, Scarab pulled out some incendiary grenades. "You ready to make some ships go boom." The human/Zabrak asked "I don't know anybody who wouldn't like to set fire to their rivals ship. So yes, I am ready." The Trandoshan answered. They hugged the wall as they neared the entrance, miraculously making it inside without being spotted by guards, they were now in the hangar, Scarab could see the target ship on the other side of the hangar. There were three guards that Scarab could see. Possibly more. Scarab didn't see a way to get past unseen, this was good, Scarab grinned in the anticipation of battle. Before making his presence known, Scarab set up five bear traps (I don't know what they would be called in Star Wars as obviously there are no bears). He was then about to jump out of cover, he signalled to David, three, two, one......
