The Empire's Grip
RESCUE THREAD

The Imperial Judiciary Central Detention Center was the premier incarceration institution in the Sith Empire. Located on Coruscant remote from the metropolis and the Senate Rotunda, it harboured the Sith's most dangerous war-criminals, most notoriously perhaps some Jedi Knights and their Initiates, pro-Republic politicians and military rebel commanders. It was renown as the most secure facility of its kind in the sector; during the entirety of the Sith occupation, no break out or incident had been reported.

VK2Ains.png
The prison security was so extensive that no one could enter – or at least, no one ever had – its perimeter without being noticed an infrared detector or one of the many [surl=http://www.thestarwarsrp.com/forum/index.php?threads/sith-empire-technology.64216/#post-1323662]RZX-96 "Vindicator" Battle Drones[/surl] that continuously circled its borders. Inside the main building was a large panopticon of cells where high-risk prisoners were held as well as generic cell blocks, a mess hall, a workout area, guard monitoring stations, and an infirmary. The prison was guarded by some – at least two per inmate – elite [surl=http://www.thestarwarsrp.com/forum/index.php?threads/sith-empire-npc-types.74494/]Sith Troopers[/surl], all of which were in prime physical condition. While historically some Sith Marauders and Warriors had always been present, the recent unrest between the Sith Order and the Imperial Legion had been to most being otherwise indisposed and they could no longer assume their duties. Authorities had not seen that as an issue in any case as most of the Sith Troopers felt relieved not to have to work in such close proximity with glorified psychopaths.

Ra's al-Hague was currently filling some paperwork at the base level of thee detention center as her most recent captures, thirty-three Jedi Knights including Al-Ric Fen, were still being nonchalantly processed to be admitted into imperial custody in the aftermath of the Battle of New Adastra. Wearing her traditional battle gears which included a white-bladed lightsaber, dual blaster pistols, three thermal detonators, an EMP grenade and her amorweave complimented with phrik chest plate and bracers, she would be ready to respond if her prisoners were foolish enough to attempt anything. Needless to say, she didn't expect any problem and was confident that the transfer would go without a hitch.

OOC: This is a rescue thread for Jedi Knight Al-Ric Fen (@Ulysses) and the 32 Jedi Knights NPCs that had been placed under his command during the Battle of New Adastra. While your primary objective is to rescue these individuals, you also have the opportunity to free all the prisoners incarcerated at the Imperial Judiciary Central Detention Center which could prove detrimental for an eventual invasion of Coruscant. Any member of the Jedi Order, or an allied faction, can sign up by replying. Participation is not limited. If you are interested to join the defending side, please contact @Aberforth beforehand to coordinate. Participants are allowed to start with their character located within the perimeter of the prison to avoid unnecessary delays.

Al-Ric sat on a bench in the Spartan processing facility with his colleagues lined up alongside him. They were watched over by a number of world-weary looking Sith warriors, who appeared none too pleased to have been a allocated prison detail. Their leader was currently with her back to the room discussing something with the duty officer.

While he waited, Al-Ric started to mediate in the Force. As he did so, he felt the subdued presence of fellow Jedi outside the walls. They were clearly masking their imprint and the complacent Sith would be unaware of the almost imperceptible glow. But to Al-Ric, in this bastion of darkness, the sensation was like a droplet of water to a man lost in the desert.

He readied himself for whatever would come next.

OOC: Alexia wears medium Jedi modular armor. She has two indigo Lightsabers, one Sunspear pistol with triple ammo, 2 TDs, and 2 EMPs.

Life was strange. The last time Alexia Morr had graced Coruscant she had flaunted her Inquisitorial power. A wayward Priestess had been forced to cut off her own hand in a show of unwavering devotion. In her mind there were only two truths in the galaxy, believers and heretics. She had been a horrible bitch. She wasn’t exactly the most pleasant Jedi but she was certainly less brooding than Corvo.

The former Sith Lord turned Jedi Knight was one of the few who called themselves Shadows. She was uniquely suited for the secretive Jedi sect reformed by Corvo Vis. Her Force aura was still a strange amalgam of Light and Dark. She would never touch the Darkness again, but the taint was slow to move. The corrupt ran deep and Adava still raged in her mind. It would be years before her Force aura felt anything like a Jedi. For the work she did now, this was a tremendously valuable asset.

She was not so far removed from her time at the top of the Inquisition that she had forgotten how to move among her former brothers and sisters. A simple black robe hung about her as she walked through the prison. Her armor was nothing out of the ordinary for a Sith, her face well hidden. Thankfully, the Empire’s recent tensions meant the guards gave her a wide berth.

She was one of many Jedi coming to the most secure prison on Coruscant. Ziost had been a terrible failure. The Sith had taken prisoner the commander of the Jedi forces and a host of Jedi Knights. She would rescue her newfound family, but she other orders. The prison was filled with enemies of the Empire. She was here to release more than just the Jedi. Alexia was carefully making her way towards the central control center where she could work some inventive magic. She was extremely careful to keep her face hidden, her Force signature muddled, and her senses wide. She would not be caught unawares.

Ooc: Kip wears N3-MP Heavy Armor. Carries his interlocking twin double bladed lightsabers. His dark Robe lies over armor.

His Interlocked hilts clanked against the ground, with his robe swaying left and right as the steps were heard echoing down the corridor. This had brought back numerous memories....many he wished to never relive. Thoughts of old went through his mind as he pondered on his wrong doings to countless Jedi many centuries ago as a Sith Lord. The former master of darkness now master of light dreaded coming back to these dark and painful settings, but none the less it had to be done.

The General might be old, ancient to some. But he still knew what it felt like to walk amongst the Sith. It wasn’t a teaching or a job you did during duty hours....being a Sith was a way of life...one that was forever etched into ones mind. Unable to to rid oneself of said darkness FULLY, would sometimes drive one mad and driven mad, Kip was. He never fully followed the Jedi’s ways of life and beliefs, he tended to see the Force not as two sides but one. One that depended on how you used it, not a good or bad.

None the less the General walked passing numerous guards each giving him a weary glance only to swiftly fall when his attention was drawn to their direction. The Jedi his to the best of his ability within the force. Only attempting to emit a dark aura around his person to which an experienced force user would be nothing but child’s play.

The General knew others were joining the mission, each with their own skills to bring to the table. But first he was making his way to the Central control center in attempts to counter any actions committed against Alexia a fellow former Sith turned “light”.

OCC: Barad is carrying his lightsaber, energy bow, 8 throwing knives, 2 smoke grenades, survival knife, and DGL. He's wearing his armored robes with phrik bracers and scatterweave cloak.

Barad remained crouched behind an air condenser on the roof of the inmate processing plant. He of course had his force signature pulled tightly around him, ensuring that unless a darksider was specifically trying to feel him out he wouldn't be detected. Though being detected through the force would be even less likely as all the Jedi waiting below him would essentially drown out his presence. His scatterweave cloak had allowed him to get inside the walls undetected, as any sensors would be thrown off and not able to get a definitive lock on him even if he was detected by one. Thus he'd only come off as a brief anomaly to any of the passing drones.

At his side to aid in his camouflage 4 Hawkbats sat perched around him, their body heat helped to further throw off any thermal sensors. He'd befriended the creatures on his way to the prison and so far the creatures were quite useful.

He was of course at the heavily fortified prison for a reason. To rescue some fellow Jedi that had been captured at the Battle of Ziost. Barad had wanted to take part in the battle himself though the order needed him elsewhere at the time. To be honest this rescue was more in Barad's wheel house than the open battlefield. He knew there were other Jedi here and the basis of a plan involving the central control center of the prison had been put in place, but beyond that they purposefully hadn't been briefed much more. They were given free range to see the task through in a way the felt was best. So for now Barad would wait and keep watch for any change as he couldn't infiltrate deep inside like his former sith allies.

They say that one man, no matter how talented, cannot fight a war alone. When he had first set out to make war against the empire, Mortimer was hollow, full of rage and empty threats, he was determined to put that saying to the test, but it had been months since then and, especially since he started training Thaddeus, his view on his situation had softened somewhat, had a chance to reflect. Everything happens for a reason, as the force wills it, the empire killed his daughter, so now he was going to destroy them in retribution, that was mostly likely the intended outcome of her death. You cannot fight an army without soldiers and allies however, and despite the skill everyone attested to, he and Thaddeus weren't nearly enough. With that in mind, Mortimer had set his eyes on his first true target, The Imperial Judiciary Central Detention Centre. Almost everyone there was an enemy of the empire, and almost everyone there could make a useful ally for his cause, politically, militarily etc.

The Prison itself was a fortress, heavily defended inside and out, the fact that his old GAR Armor, despite the repairs, was nowhere near combat ready didn't help. He instead had to rely on a standard set of Stalker Armor with a grapple launcher added on for more mobility. He had spray painted it black and white with the skull on front and the republic symbol on the shoulder. He chose an SP-30 Suppressed Blaster in his primary holster on the right thigh, a Thunderbuster on the opposite thigh, the 22A Ion Blaster strapped to his right ankle, a Versistaff next to the Thunderbuster, and a Nova Particle Rifle slung around his back. Given that the prison held high risk prisoners, the building was most likely full of Sith, so he packed some crowd control grenades too, 2 Thermal Detonaters, 1 EMP, 1 Pyrotechnic, ad 1 Smackdown.

Infiltration was difficult, but possible as long as the perimeter had a hole, a hole readily available once one of their supply ships "Malfunctioned" and veered off course, crashing nearby and causing some troops and drones to investigate whilst he slipped in. Once inside, he had only vague memories of what few schematics he could pull, and those were difficult enough to follow whilst simultaneously avoiding swarms of troops. Despite the gretaer numbers though, he was doing quite well for himself, making his way toward the Central Control Chamber with relative haste. Once there, he should be able to shut off the power grid and open all the cells, and from there, he would have his allies.

  • Kyra sighed, her hair flying wildly in the winds of Coruscant, snapping into and out of her face. As she stood in the transport, she meditated, her mind flicking to the death and destruction that lay on the surface and in the skies of New Adastra. She knew that bodies were strewn across the landscape; that ships floated, shattered in orbit; that this was their only chance to save her brother's and sisters of the order.

Before her transport was the landing platform of the Imperial Judiciary Central Detention Center, where high ranking visitors entered the prison, when they wanted to survey their prey from the latest hunt. At the moment, 33 captured Jedi were somewhere in that huge, impenetrable building. She shuddered at the thought of what goes on in there.

Though, she was not alone - at various points around the perimeter were Jedi just like her, ready to strike when the moment called for it. Closer, however were two Jedi knights in the transport, each with the same objective as her.

Their transport was in a landing queue, before them a supply shuttle, key to another team's success, and behind was the busy sky of Coruscant.

She was ready to do what needed to do.

  • Kyra is wearing her tunic dress, has one yellow bladed lightsaber and has two Sunspear pistols on her utility belt.

It had been a long time now, since he'd been to Coruscant. At that time, when he was just a boy, the endless city of kilometers-high towers, piercing through the stratosphere, was the scene of exotic awe and wonder. And now, after so many years, there it was. Unchanged... was that a testament of Corustant's reliance to the Empire's conversion? Or was it perhaps one of the world's indifference?

Praedyth was no Shadow. His way was not one of stealth and subterfuge, but his shield his mind and presence like few others could. This finesse had been spurred on by the danger of an open mind when fighting the Sith, but as a secondary application, it made him highly difficult to detect through the Force. Even when he was, his presence was unknowable; a Sith sensing him would simply assume he was a fellow Sith skilled at concealing himself and his thoughts. The donned hood, black as his armor and outer robe, were simply a coincidental similarity of aesthetics between House Vaklu and the Sith Order, one that worked to his own advantage.

He had not been there when the Siege of Ziost had begun, or when the Jedi were routed by the Sith forces. He was not there when the Grand Master fell in the cold, deathless void. He would never be gone from his brethren again. Even if he were no longer a Jedi Knight, he still identified with them nearly as much as he did his own people.

If there was one thing Moku knew how to do, it was blend in. He had flown from one corner of the galaxy to another and had been to at least fifty different planets. He'd honestly lost track of them all at this point. Maybe it was closer to a hundred. In any case, each of the planets were all different with varying local cuisines, customs, and practices and sticking out like a sore thumb was never a good thing to do in any of those planets. At best, it got you hounded by eager street vendors who saw an easy, tourist mark and at worst, it got you mugged.

As it was, the nomadic Rodian Jedi found his kitchen worker disguise quite natural. During this rescue mission that he and his fellow Jedi were mounting, there hadn't been time for a whole lot of recon but there had been enough for Moku to garner what the kitchen staff of the prison wore and how they went about their day. So far, he was blending in quite well, wearing a nondescript grey jumpsuit with a white apron over top of it. He played the role of meek kitchen worker as best he could, keeping his head down and walking around the prison trying to look busy. Most of his equipment, he'd left behind but hidden in one of his apron's pockets was his blue lightsaber, ready to spring into action at a moment's notice.

He was currently carrying a repulsorbroom and a dustbin, hoping that it would look like he was trying to rush to clean up some mess somewhere. The Jedi were quite scattered throughout the prison and while it made sense strategically, Moku would be lying if he said it didn't make him a tad nervous. It was much easier to be confident when you had a half dozen of your Jedi brethren with you, armed with lightsabers and a righteous cause. While his travels had kept him from forming close relationships with much of his fellow Jedi, times were too hard at the moment to not throw his full support to what remained of the Jedi. He might not have known his fellow strike team members well but he was going to give this mission his all and hopefully save as many Jedi as he could. As he continued to walk with the broom, he passed by a center console and saw the somewhat familiar form of Alexia Morr. Trying to stay as low profile as he could, the Rodian Jedi merely gave a slight nod to his fellow Jedi that would be imperceptible to those who weren't paying particularly close attention to a meager kitchen worker. He hoped the message behind the nod was clear enough for Alexia.

Is it time yet?

Mei was ready for anything and she began to blend in by not wearing her Jedi robes She had on dark robes and had her hood up most of the sith around her thought her as one of them. She thanked her assassin training for being able to blend in so well. She made her way to the prison watching the sith around her. she knew she had to be careful and not alert them to herself or the other Jedi who had come to save their own. She stopped in a dark alleyway were she could see the prison and watched to see when she could make her move into the place and save the people who were apart of the family she had. She hoped and prayed this went well and no Jedi life was lost this day.

At first, Ra’s al-Hague didn’t notice the escalation of the agitation among the personnel of the detention center. When the assistant-warden entered the room however, she could no longer ignore the undignified squeaks and the tense grimaces the other imperials were making.

“What, in the Emperor’s name, is going on?” she asked the prison’s high-ranking officer.

"La-La-Lady Nightstalker?" he stammered nervously. "We have registered several heat-signatures that we are unable to account for?" The Sith had never seen a human looking so pale.

“Heat-signatures?” she inquired. “Where?”

"Ev-Eve-Everywhere. On the platform, on the roof, on the walls... Everywhere. And we have also received reports that shuttle crashed into one of the outer walls," he replied his pitch getting higher, before he tried to rationalize the situation. "It might just be a technical difficulty or a spur of collective hysteria, but perhaps it would be better if you looked into it personally."

She groaned. She was not about to be ordered around by a lowly administrative assistant. One whose incompetence was surely partially responsible for the so-called technical difficulties and collective hysteria. Lady Nightstalker was too experienced to believe in coincidences: anything inconspicuous happening while 33 Jedi Knights were being registered under imperial custody was a cause for concern.

Time was of the essence. To avoid the situation getting out of control, she would have to act swiftly and more importantly she would need allies. Fortunately, she had just made a powerful new friend. He would no doubt prove invaluable if she intended to stop a major break out. Using her personal holocom, she sent a solemn message to the Legion Commander. "Commander DuValle, the Empire needs your assistance. Now."

Kurtis heard the message from his commlink, eyes narrowing at it's contents as he stood on the bridge of his Star Destroyer. They had just finished their repairs and were being cleared to leave, though now he had other concerns. The Commander had shared his friendship with Ra's al-Hague with his crew, as he treated them like family and held no secrets from them, so they all stared at him as the message rang out through the bridge. It took only a moment for the orders to spring to his mind and a moment later to say them.

"Move the ship into low orbit. Deactivate the Planetary Shield." The words were short but had plenty of meaning behind them. Almost immediately the Star Destroyer began to move into position, the orders being sent to drop the Planetary Shield until ordered to restore them. He had been told he had authority over them in a briefing when he had arrived at the planet yet hadn't expected to actually use it. FIrst, though, he had to move into position.

He would not let anyone harm his new friend, and if she were dead...the thought began to fill him with anger. He had been considering giving an order to treat the prisoners well to use in possible prisoner exchanges. Now, though, they had used up any good will Kurtis held towards their well-being. Come hell or high water, he would now show them all the true power of the Imperial Legion. His eyes flashed as he gazed upon where the Detention Center lay, planning his strike against the enemy.

I didn't like working with other commanders but here I was with a commander of the Star Destroyer had recently killed the Jedi grandmaster a feat that was impressive for even a Sith. Now the commander was going to handle the new situation that just came up, as the commander got a message. I was in mine uniform and ready for whatever action. Already one of four thermal grenades was in my upper right palm ready for the fight that wouldn't be long now, as the we got closer. I was messing with the thermals going from a few minutes to off, sure it scared some others but it didn't matter to the me. They were linked up to a datapad on my waist right now so no one needed to worry. Eventually going near Kurtis.

"I hope you have a actually plan I would hate to see a that you victory was a mistake with the Jedi grandmaster." Honestly it would be sad if the supposed great commander didn't have a reasonable plan, still moving my upper two hands in a cross position.

Honestly I didn't like the waiting but it would seem that this might take sometime, though how long I couldn't know.

Omnia has been waiting, she was one of the original Jedi whom would have been landing on the surface however she had broken off and decided to monitor what was going on from the "safety" of space. Maybe a situation that suited her better would become apparent, maybe a chance to further her own goals, agendas and needs.

As she hurtled through space towards the planet she saw a Star Destroyer. She could see that it was moving into a position of low orbit, which was not totally strange, however due to the operations that were taking place on the ground the positioning of the Star Destroyer was certainly a danger to the Jedi bellow. At least if she was on board the Star Destroyer she couldn't fall victim to it, however getting on board would still be difficult if she was seen.

As the Star Destroyer moved into low orbit, Omnia took her chance, half hoping that they would not care to much about a lone vessel, however it was a Jedi Vessel and therefore that may pose the problem... The thought of a lone fighter would hopefully be too inconsequential to the huge ship as it would do minimal damage and merely distract them from the task at hand. Omnia would aim to board the ship, from there her plan would all be off the cuff but for now it would certainly put her in a strong position to help both those on the ground and further her own more personal agenda.

Al-Ric registered the Sith growing agitated with the orderly. The rest of the warriors set to guard them were clearly fighting their willpower not to watch the unfortunate's trouble.

From his meditation he reached out ever so gently with the force, first to alert his nearest colleague - with a kind of emotional gesture, nothing more - to his plan.
Second, he would tease his Sith nearest him's lightsaber from the belt attachment, imperceptibly to the distracted Sith. At the key moment, the Jedi next to him coughed raucously to further distract their captors and Al-Ric swiftly pulled the lightsaber to himself and secreted it up his sleeve for whatever would come next.

Barad sat queitly in his hiding spot above the captured Jedi. He gave a quick pet to one of the Hawkbats that rested against him and wondered when things were going to kick off. Suddenly the Justicar had a terrible feeling in the pit of his stomach. The force grew heavy around him and he noticed the Hawkbats growing physically agitated. Something wasn't right, and the force was telling him so. This wasn't were he was supposed to be. He tried to ignore the feeling but it only grew worse as the minutes dragged on. His destiny wasn't here on the city planet, the force had another purpose for Barad.

He could only take it for so long before he realized he had to leave. He hated himself in that moment, but the force urged him to leave. He looked down as if trying to see through the ceiling of the processing building, to his captured comrades. He didn't know why the force was calling him away, but he knew he had to heed it's call. With great reluctance Barad stood. He released the Hawkbats to do as they willed and he made his off the roof, out of the prison, and into the night.

He walked on for awhile head down and wondered what the force was asking of him. If he would have looked up, he would have seen the Star Destroyer heading in the direction of the prison.

OCC: This is my exit from the thread. Not the best but it was the best IC reason I could come up with for leaving.

Darth Adava had been intimately familiar with the highest security prison the Empire had to offer. It had once been the purview of the Inquisition to watch over the heretics. Alexia had visited this facility more than once in her darker days. She remembered walking these halls after doing terrible, terrible things. She was near the bottom of the structure. There was a little used entry way that lead into the bowels of Coruscant. It had been advantageous for transferring high profile targets in secret into the prison. A tittering pair of guardsmen rushed passed her. They seemed to recognize too late they were ignoring what appeared to be an Inquisitor. They saluted at the last moment.

“Ma’am.” Alexia adopted the familiar affectation of her past. “What the hell is going on.” She pushed just enough of the Force to slightly obscure her face. “A Star Destroyer has appeared above the prison, there are intruders in the perimeter.” She scowled. “Very well, go on and be useful.” She waived a dismissive hand and stalked passed the guards.

How predicable. The Empire was always trying to compensate for something. She wondered what small man was in charge this time. Alexia had little desire to engage in a size measuring contest. From her time as Grand Inquisitor, she knew the prison come equipped with powerful defensive systems. Those systems were designed to protect the prison from all sorts of attacks, including orbital bombardment. A complex shielding system could be engaged. Surface to air missiles and turbolasers dotted the prison. She couldn’t stay, but she would not leave the other Jedi defenseless. She actived her secure encrypted coms.

“The prison is designed to defend an attack from above. Any terminal can activate the defenses with the right input. Good luck.” Alexia headed quickly for the exit. On her way out, she crossed one of the many unmanned terminals in the depths of the prison. There simply weren’t enough guards with the schism. She could not turn on the shields from this terminal, and she did not want to trap anyone in the prison, but she could turn on the prisons offensive capabilities. Alexia quickly accessed the terminal and activated the various aerial defense systems. In short order, they would begin firing on the Star Destroyer if it became aggressive. She would not invite the Empire to start blasting away. With that done, Alexia slipped out the exit into the undercity.

OOC: Exit thread.

It was only moments after the Jedi ship jumped into the system that a warning was sent to all forces defending Coruscant, the make and ID of the ship causing an anomaly on the sensors that was easy for any of the defense fleet to see. "Sir, a Jedi ship is approaching our Star Destroyer. It appears to be on an approach vector for docking." Kurtis raised an eyebrow at this, though suddenly things began to click into place. The Jedi were trying to free their prisoners, perhaps even more in that prison, and now they were trying to stop him from his reprisal. The gall that they had, though with how aggressive they had been recently it made sense that they would attempt a rescue. No, he would not allow the Jedi to succeed here, especially if it meant Ra's' death. "It seems to think that it can just waltz right in here. Very well. As soon as the ship is within range use the tractor beams to pull it directly towards the ship. Using it's now known trajectory, fire all point defense lasers at it's course and at where it may attempt to escape from. If it manages to escape, signal the rest of the fleet to launch their fighters to hunt that ship down." The tractor beams on the ship were powerful enough to capture far larger ships than the Starfighter, meaning once it was caught it would be incredibly difficult for it to escape. Even if it did, it's trajectory would be calculated and the laser fire would be ready to meet it, theoretically leaving little chance it would survive the barrage. Even if it were rushing, the speed of the Starfighter would have needed to have been slowed in order to dock without hitting the far side of the hangar and destroying itself. It still had to get through the shields on the docking bay, however, and without the proper clearance codes it wouldn't stand a chance of breaking through.

A second warning came across their systems, that of an unauthorized change to the anti-air defenses of the Detention center. The codes used were old, thus triggering the alert in the system and making it easy to see. "Route control of the facility to my console, please." Kurtis said, looking over the information. Who had made the change mattered little, only in that their use of old codes had played their hand. Combined with the threat from the Jedi ship, it only cemented his knowledge of the identity of the attackers. With a command he overrode the change to the anti-air defenses, giving a small smirk as he activated the shielding around the facility in all places except for it's top. If the rats were already within, and had harmed his new friend, then he wouldn't let them escape so easily.

Turning back to the viewport, Kurtis eyed the planet looming closer and closer. His plan was now clear. Looking at his guest, he disregarded the challenging words as he spoke to the reptilian man. "There are few ways to definitively deal with Jedi. This is one of them." He looked back just as one of his officers turned in his seat, proclaiming that they had reached their desired altitude and the shield had been lowered. The ship had already had all it's systems active due to the performance testing, so all it would take was the order. "Fire all turbolasers and missiles at the detention center. Begin the volley striking half a kilometer from the facility and work your way inwards. I'll take any responsibility for damage, but I mean to at least deny the Jedi their prize. Do not stop firing until that area has been pounded into the depths of the planet itself."

Since the beginning of the movement into orbit, it had only been a few minutes at most due to their initial location. As the fire began to rain down onto the planet, it would take around a minute for the lasers began to hit their targets. The light would fall like rain, moving closer and closer to the prison before engulfing it entirely. Behind those first hits of the turbolasers would be capitol ship-class concussion missiles, creating an explosion that would have been large and powerful enough to have destroyed an enemy cruiser. The fire would not stop until the entire facility and it's surrounding area was destroyed, leaving a burning hole as close to the planet's crust as could be done. There would be no survivors, the blood squarely on Kurtis' hands.

As the Star Destroyer looming above Coruscant began to fire down onto the facility, Kyra realised that this was not a place for her, or her friends. Looking to the pilot, she yelled "Get us outta here, we've only got a minute to get out! I don't want to be caught in the blast!"

As the shuttle turned around, heading for a nearby spaceport, she wished good luck to those still within the facility, "May the force be with you" she whispered.

I'm out of here

Kip continued to rush to the control center, listening to his comms as the grandmaster confirmed their was an impending assault on the prison. Fully aware his team was fleeing, the General felt he could at least attempt to save his fellow comrades. Rushing deeper into the prison he began to make commands to some of the soldiers, many mistook him for a Sith by his demeanor and aggression while few began to suspect seeing as there was no notification to the presence of any other Sith in the prison.

Hold it right there?!

One of the guards commanded, the suspicion grew more as Kip passed not acknowledging their exsistance.

Hold it right there or I will shoot!?!?!”

Before the man could raise his weapon Kip spun around igniting his saber cutting the barrel of the blast in half, only to force push the guard sending him into a nearby terminal. With the impact into the terminal the box began to spark resulting in the Main power shorting causing the lights to go out and the red emergency illumination to take hold.

At this point, cover was blown, and time was of the essence. The Odds were NOT in their favor. As the power dissipated the guards were now aware of a possible outbreak, so Kip began to stick to the darker shadows and corners of the corridors working his way within eyesight of the Control center.

*
BOOM*

The ground shook heavily as the ceiling began to drop dust into the air. The worst was begining to happen. Not only was the few Jedi stowed away with a giant coffin with the rats but the caretaker began to lay dirt upon its casing before the body was even cold. The impacts became stronger and more frequent but the general could tell it was just the ballistic missiles and soon the Turbolasers would be spun up and at this point....it wouldn’t be the best of times for the occupants.

Upon reaching the door, the Jedi realized it was locked from the inside.

Figures....

Igniting his blade once again he activated its dual phase which lengthened its reach, sending it straight through the door. Cutting took time and well there wasn’t much left. Blaster bolts began to impact around Kip honing in on his position from across the hall. Only missing him by inches, leaving heat signatures across his skin. The bolts warmth reminding him he was in a tight spot and this wasn’t the time to slack.

As the cut was big enough for him to fit into he forced his way inside. Sprinting passed the few that lie in the control room forcing his blade into the prison cells control panel ultimatley shorting the system and opening its cells deep within its perimeter. The walls around them continued to shutter from powerful impacts as the rounds bombarded down upon them, as the Jedi turned to face the few in the room @Aberforth
