OOC: You don't have to teach me all them. I'm just trying to show my characters enthusiasm. You can just teach me the basic one.

BIC: Josh looked at Katarn and grinned, "I'm more than ready."

((Hai hai))

"The first form is Shii-Cho." Katarn explained. She clapped her hands twice and a slave entered. "One training drone." She addressed the slave.

"Yes Mistress." The slave bowed and a drone descended from the ceiling a couple seconds later.

"This form is all about detecting blaster fire and deflecting it. I want you to try to sense the trajectory of the fire and block it before it hits you."

"Sounds easy enough," Josh said as he took a manageable distance from the droid. He concentrated. He was trying his hardest to sense the trajectory of the shot. When the droid fired, Josh when to block, barely missing the blast. The stun tingled a little. When Josh was trained to become a thief, he had to strengthen his reflexes and hand-eye coordination.

All he would have to do is get the timing down. Once he got the timing down, he'd be able to successfully block the blast. He geared up for a second go. He was a split second late again. The blast tingled again. Josh was starting to get annoyed and used that as motivation. "Alright. Come on," Josh said as he concentrated once more.

The third time wasn't a charm. He felt the all to familiar tingle and was angry. He used his anger and focused it on the droid. The droid stood there. Motionless. Josh mimicked it. When Josh heard the firing mechanism begin to click, he made his move. Sensing which way the droid was going to shoot. Success. Josh blocked the blast and was grateful for not feeling another tingle.

"Good." Katarn smiled. She pulled a handkercheif off that had been tied onto her arm. She tossed it at the acolyte. "Now do it blindfolded."

Josh caught the headband and put it over his eyes. This was going to be more of a challenge. Once Josh had the headband on, he concentrated once again. With losing sight, and not being able to smell the blasts coming, Josh would have to solely rely on his hearing. One is taught if you lose one sense, your others become more acute. Josh would still be able to hear the firing mechanism begin to click, but without being able to see the droid, it would be hard to sense the shot placement.

Josh would have to really concentrate on this. He stood up straight, the blade straight as well. He tuned his ears in, he could hear the droid perfectly. He then started to sense the droid when he felt that tingle in his right shoulder. He was too slow. He would have to be faster. On the battlefield, your enemy isn't going to be slow. Especially a well trained Jedi.

The second time around Josh sped the process up. He concentrated on the droid, sensing it. When the shot came, this time Josh had guessed wrong. And took a blast to the right midsection. He kept himself cool. He regrouped and was ready. Repeating the process - concentrating, sensing, instinct. Josh missed again. Barely missing the blast. He was starting to get a little flustered.

Josh repeated the steps ten times. He was starting to lose patience. Josh used the anger from repetitive failing to increase his Force awareness. Josh let go of everything - being one solely with the Force. The droid shot, Josh blocked. The movement felt weird. It felt like his hands were guided to where the shot would be. Like, the Force guided him to deflect it.

"Good good." Katarn smiled. "I personally try to use as little anger as possible, but then My cover story is that I'm a wandering jedi, so I can't use anger. But since you want to be a Marauder anyways, that shouldn't be an issue."

"The more anger I use, the stronger I get it seems," Josh said looking at himself. "Its a good feeling, but I don't want to lose total control of my self being. Anyways," Josh said as he took of the headband, "Whats next," he asked looking at Katarn.

"The next form is..."

((time warp!!!))

"And now you know Juyo." Katarn smiled, body covered in rivulets of sweat from all the power needed to use Juyo. "That will be all for today. For homework, Spend tonight thinking about what you wish to learn tomorrow. Meet me in my office first thing in the morning."

((Is that allowed? I don't want to get in trouble. Haha.))

"Sounds good. See you in the morning, Katarn," Josh said as he exited the training room, returning to his room for the night. Josh was happy with his advancement so far. He had already learned two lightsaber forms, the ability to control objects, and deflect blaster shots. Tomorrow Josh would take a gander at learning some Force powers.

When Josh arose the next day, he found Katarn in her office as usual. He walked in and took a seat. "I want to learn some Force powers. More specifically, Force Sight. Then we'll go from there," Josh said.

"Easy enough to teach." Katarn smiled, opening a draw of her desk she tossed another bandanna to the acolyte. "Where that for a weak while you participate in regular sparring sessions in the main training hall. Don't worry, they usually have a section for the new recruits and the ones going through this training. If you keep this on for a week without removing it, your body will learn to see with the force. This is the easiest way to teach this technique."

Josh took the headband as instructed. Josh made his way towards the main training hall. Once in the training hall, he explained his situation to one of the teachers there. Josh was setup to spar against another trainee. This was going to be interesting.

Being blinded again Josh used his hearing. He listened for the trainee. When he moved across the mat, Josh moved in. Cutting the original distance in half. Upon moving in, Josh received a right cross. This got the blood pumping in Josh. He came back at the man, giving him everything he had. Josh's background as a thief had him master hand-to-hand combat. He preferred it over weapons.

Josh caught the man with a right cross then a left uppercut. This sent the man reeling back, then eventually toppling over. When Josh heard the body make contact with the floor, he could only grin. The trainer broke it up and dismissed Josh. He also informed him his partner for tomorrow was up to speed to around where Josh was. Which should make for an even more interesting challenge.

Once Josh left the main training hall he grabbed a bite to eat. He was starving. He then returned to his room for the night and did some quick meditating. After meditating, Josh turned in for the night. The next morning Josh was ready for his sparring to begin. Josh learned his partner for the day would be a female Zabrak.

Josh wasn't looking to take it lightly since she was a female. She knew the drill - no mercy. Once the headbands were fastened on, the two went to work. Josh tried to since the Zabrak, inching closer. However the Zabrak was one step ahead of him. She did a spinning leg sweep, knocking Josh on his back.

Josh panicked. He wasn't use to this. He got back up and in doing so, caught a spinning left hook from the Zabrak. Then she threw a quick right cross and that connected as well. Josh was getting angry. He was starting to feel that extra power - strength - Force - whatever you wanted to call it.

Josh used his hearing and the Force to try and sense the Zabrak. He didn't necessarily have to see her. He just had to sense her so he could counter her attacks. Josh landed a quick left right combo before getting uppercutted. He didn't like that feeling. And he didn't like admitting defeat, but the Zabrak had his number. She could sense him. He couldn't do the same.

Josh felt a little bad about getting owned by a female, but it was part of the training. She was on her way to being something good with skills like that. Josh grabbed a quick bite to eat then returned to his room. He had setup a droid to spar against in his room. He put the headband on and went to town. All the sparing on the droid wore Josh out. He turned in for the night, but soon after it was light again. And that meaning training was commencing again.

This time, he was going up against a male Zabrak. He didn't like his chances. No less than three seconds of the fight starting, Josh was getting lit up. Punch after punch, Josh was feeling more and more woozy. Josh collapsed. The trainer called the fight. Josh woke up in the medical bay. The trainer was next to him.

"What happened," Josh asked.

"You got knocked out kid," the trainer replied.

"How long have I been out," Josh asked as he sat on the edge of the bed.

"About six hours. You were fighting someone who was close to finishing their training. All of our trainees face someone like that, so they know the power."

"That doesn't make sense. The guy nearly killed me."

"It doesnt make sense to you. But, it make sense to us. And that's all that matter. Get some sleep sunshine."

Josh returned to his room beat, bruised, and discouraged. That guy really got after him. But he couldn't dwell on it anymore. He needed to keep his confidence. Josh looked at the droid and started it up. He made it to where he was defending and the droid was the aggressor. Josh concentrated. The droid landed a right cross, but Josh reacted with a right cross of his own, followed by a swift uppercut and a right hook. Josh destroyed the measly droid.

"Oops," Josh said with a grin. Josh laid in bed. Thinking about his technique. It was all wrong. He wasn't taking it serious enough. He was relying more on his own skill than the Force. He was doing the complete opposite. He needed to let the Force flow through him. Guide him. Instead of fighting against it.

The next day Josh was ready. He put the headband over his eyes, and he concentrated. The Force flew through him. Josh was matched up with another male human. Instead of using his ears, Josh used his eyes. With the Force flowing through him, he was seeing things he could never see before. But that didn't stop the fist connecting with his face.

Josh stumbled back and shook it off. His anger fueled the Force, causing him to see more. Josh could see a light outline of the male. He moved in, the man threw a right cross but Josh parried the punch, landing a right cross of his own. The man stumbled back, but Josh was on him. Josh fed the man another right cross followed by a left. The man fell down. The trainer called the fight.

When the training was over, Josh kept the headband on. He could lightly see the outline of things. Josh figured he was on the right track. When he made it back to his room, without running into anything, he was impressed. He kept the headband on though. He sat down and meditated. He kept his eyes open while doing so.

While he was sitting there, he heard a quite voice come across the silent air, "Close your eyes," the quite voice said. So did as he was told. When Josh closed his eyes, visions of his mother getting beat came to his head. Josh tried to open his eyes, but they wouldn't. The visions were making Josh more and more angry. They then stopped. Josh heard the voice again, "Open....," the voice said. Josh did as he was told.

After Josh opened his eyes, he saw things he never seen before. He could see everything through the headband. Like he wasn't wearing one. He stood up and walked to the wall. He could see a figure on the other side. Female, from the shapes on the body. She was getting undressed. Josh closed his eyes. He didn't want to be a pervert.

He took the headband off and sat on the bed. This power, was amazing. It could prove helpful in tight situations. Josh then got up and headed towards Katarn's office. He was ready for the next step in his training.

((You were supposed to keep the blindfold on all the time. even when walking around the temple, even asleep. But I'll let it slide because you used that power to sneak a peek at the girl in the next room. Best use for the force I've seen yet ^_^))

Katarn was in her office, as usual. Lucky Kel doesn't have to fill out his paperwork because he can destroy the temple! OOOhhhh!!! How scary! I could destroy the temple too if I wanted to. Katarn thought to herself. She was angry to say the least.

((Oops! Sorry! When I started writing that I was tired. I had been up for 24 hours. After I posted, and re-read your reply, I knew I had goofed. My apologies.))

When Josh got closer to Katarn's office, he could feel her being angered by something. Or perhaps someone? When Josh entered he sat down like he normally did. "What's wrong Katarn," Josh asked.

"What else?" katarn sighed, tossing her datapad aside. "Paperwork. I have mountains of it to do for each apprentice I take on, and I've taken on quite a few. But that's my problem, how's your training been going?"

"It's coming along well. I finished learning Force Sight," Josh said with a grin. He then lost the grin and was more worried about the stress mounting on Katarn. "Is there anyway I could help you with the paperwork," Josh asked with sincerity in his voice.

"No," Katarn sighed, a youthful grin returning to her face. "Buraucracy is thick everywhere these days. Normally its not so bad. The standard master only takes on one apprentice at a time. But since unlike the average Bogan I genuinely care for everyone around me, I have 4 apprentices. So that 4 times the paperwork. Plus the time I have to spend doing actual instruction, plus my regular duties as a Bogan assassin in training. Anyways, have you decided on your next lesson yet?"

Josh sat back in the chair. He didn't know what to train in next. He learned two lightsaber forms, basically two Force powers, and learned about the Bogan on his own. He was dumbfounded. "What else is there, Katarn," Josh asked ashamedly.

Josh went to the library and researched the Force powers the Bogan could use. He thought for a second. He wanted a power that could conceal himself. To use as a scouting source. He then came across the Force power, "Force Cloack". It was perfect for him. Josh left the library and returned to Katarn's office.

He entered her office and walked up to her desk, "What do you know about the Force power, Force Cloak," Josh asked.
