The icy calm? Yeah. It's a good take on it. Agreed. Though I think Michael Ironside would have been an even better choice. Certainly it's a bit less predictable than the Clint Eastwood stuff.

Though if they did a live action adaptation... seriously. Clint Eastwood.

Especially if they made a Batmand Beyond film, Ironside/Eastwood would be great Bruce Wayne's. They look grizzled yet tired and world weary, like they've been through a hundred wars and could tell you about them in fascinating detail, but they're too busy being baddasses to tell you about it right now.

By the way, just as a quick aside in relation to rebooting the franchise. I bought the Necronomicon recently (A collection of Lovecraft stories), and I'm more and more loving the idea of a smaller scale film involving Batman and the lesser known characters of his universe. Like Oracle or Cassandra Cain, Man Bat or Killer Croc but in a Hollywood Studio financed film. I haven't ironed out a story obviously, all I have right now is imagery and concepts in mind. But I can't shake the cool vibe that kind of story could bring.
