Welcome to the third event of the eighth timeline, Star Wars: Fires of Rebellion! When the Imperial Republica lost its grasp on Imperial Hutta, much of the Mid Rim was left unoccupied by galactic superpowers. This state of chaos allowed crime to prosper. Most notoriously Zemass Besadii Ar’durv, a Hutt gangster, has amassed a considerable force on the world of Randon and prepares to seize control of the planet. Meanwhile, a rebel cell rises to oppose him. The local militia led by Aeliana Thire works tirelessly to protest the reign of terror initiated by the Hutt crime lord. The InterGalactic Banking Clan dismayed by the Sith Empire's unprovoked attack on Cato Nemoidia, a planet with whom the organization had enjoyed a symbiotic relationship, sees this conflict as an opportunity to expand its business ventures in the region.
Located at the intersection with several major trade routes, including the Trax Tube, Ootmian Pabol, Pabol Sleheyron, and the Randon Run, Randon is of paramount importance to any faction who aspire to expand their influence in the Mid Rim. The Sith Empire, the Mandalorians and the Galactic Alliance have all elected to send representatives to secure alliances with factions they wish to see prevail in this conflict.
For this event, two members of each main faction will have to team up with two members of another main faction (e.i. two Sith with two Mandalorians). Each group will have primary objectives each worth a certain amount of points based on difficulty. To accomplish these goals, they'll be guided by a staff-appointed DM. Secret secondary objectives will also be provided to each pair within a group (e.i. the Sith will have certain secondary objectives, but so will the Mandalorians). Fulfilling these secret secondary objectives will earn additional points that could very well make the difference when deciding the victors of the event. Whether you choose to share the details of these secret objectives with the other members involved in your thread or not is up to you. Please note however, that all characters will be escorted for the duration of their activities on Randon and that open confrontation between members of different factions will be heavily frowned upon: this is meant to be, first and foremost, a collaborative event and all threads are of course death-disabled. Participants will have three (3) weeks to complete their objectives. Since this is a cross-faction event, there will be no posting order unless agreed upon by all members involved in a thread and a strict 48 posting limit between DMed interventions will be imposed.

_____— Zemass Besadii Ar’durv, crime lord
Division and corruption, such is the faith of any organization that has known a growth as sudden as Zemass the Hutt's cartel. Before he can assert his dominance over Randon, Zemass needs to secure the loyalty of his lieutenants, and what better than powerful friends to command fear and respect. Zemass has requested the support of the Sith Empire and the Mandalorians in this endeavour. Their representatives have been tasked with visiting his three Vigos to reiterate the crime lord's authority.
Having established residence on Randon, the three underbosses are all involved in different aspect of Zemass' criminal enterprise. The Corellian is the best smuggler Zemass' credits could buy. Lucrative smuggling opportunities are on the horizon, and the Vigo threatens to leave the organization if Zemass doesn't raise his retainer fee. Emora Xanthos, a biochemical engineer turned drug trafficker, was working on a novel way to extract glitteryll from Energy spiders. She has recently paused all research for unknown reason. Arguss, a former Zygerrian slavemaster, is in charge of the underground slave market. He has actively questioned the crime lord's laxness and expressed his discontentment with the slave quotas imposed by the Hutt.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:
+12 Secure the loyalty of The Corellian.
+15 Remind the scientist of the consequences of deserting Hutt's criminal empire.
+23 Ensure that the Zygerrian slavemaster poses no threat to Zemass' takeover.

"Securing the endorsement of the Banking Clan could prove most profitable."
_____— Lun Minor, vice chairman of the InterGalactic Banking Clan
One of the galaxy's most prominent commerce guilds, the InterGalactic Banking Clan has always preferred intervene in planetary affairs from the shadows. Hoping to diversifies its sources of revenues, the organization seeks to further develop business initiatives in the Mid Rim, and Randon would serve as the perfect stepping stone to do just that. The Sith Empire and Galactic Alliance could both use the seemingly endless funds at the transpolitical organization's disposal.
In order to woo the bureaucrats of the IGBC, representatives of the two factions will act as their envoys. Local connections being of primordial importance, the envoys will meet with the officials of the Randoni commerce guild impoverished by the economic instability brought upon by the actions of Zemass the Hutt and finance their activities using funds provided by the IGBC. The Randoni capital's spaceport remains at the heart of all the economic activities on the planet's surface; the envoys will bribe the director of the spaceport director into accepting favorable terms when dealing with compagnies funded by the IGBC. Always keen on building its incommensurable wealth, the IGBC seeks to profit from the ongoing conflict by financing both the Hutt's forces and the rebellion. Their envoys should arrange meetings with both parties and negotiate in its interest.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:
+10 Bankroll the Randon's planetary commerce guild.
+18 Bribe the spaceport director.
+22 Loan money to both Zemass' organization and the freedom fighters.

"This is our most desperate hour. Help us. You are our only hope."
_____— Aeliana Thire, freedom fighter
Driven out of their home by the Hutt lord's heavy-handed approach and his armada of guard droids, the inhabitants of Randon's metropolitan centres are in dire need of assistance. If the freedom fighters are to emerge as leaders in the aftermath of their confrontation with Zemass the Hutt, mesures need to be undertaken immediately to alleviate the sufferings of those caught in the middle of this conflict. A plea for help has been sent to the Mandalorians and the Galactic Alliance.
Exerting a considerable influence on the sectors neighbouring Randon, the two factions have decided to lead a joint humanitarian relief mission on the war-torn planet. Three targets have been identified by the freedom fighters' leadership. The city dwellers have been the most affected by the Hutt's takeover and refugee camps are starting to run low on life necessities. The wounded are piling up in a district in the capital intensely disputed between the Hutt's forces and the rebels; they need emergency medical care. To continue their operations, the rebels have also requested new military gears specifically adapted to combat Hutt guard droids.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:
+13 Deliver immediate food and water supplies to the refugees.
+16 Provide medical assistance to the injured and arrange safe transport to a secure location.
+21 Supply military equipment to the rebellion.
