  • Born to a wealthy family on the planet of Alderaan the now Count was always going to have a bright future ahead of him, Wealth, land and would all be there to claim once he came of age. It was not until the age of four however that it became clear that this so called bright future was destined to be lit by the glow of a lightsaber.

He was taken to train at the Jedi Temple on
[ENTER THE LOCATION] where he began training in the arts of the legendary Jedi Knights. To his surprise he was able to quickly asserted himself as a rather fine swordsman, picking up the basic skills with relative ease in comparison to all others in his class. This was undoubtedly aided by his larger size as Vistra fought with little to no finesse but used his own strength to simply overpower his opposition.

Despite his skills with a blade, Vistra lacked any natural aptitude in force usage something that his teachers go on record stating
"He is the finest swordsman of his age, yet he lacks the patience required to nurture his use of the force." - his attitude was also a noted problem, being a extremely cocky and arrogant member of his group. Contrary to his instructors wishes, a Jedi Master and Councillor by the name of Jacob Nhil allowed the training of the boy to continue despite the need for disciplinary action on several occasions. Master Nhil was a noted swordsman and martial artist within the order and was said to be more than intrigued by Vistra's melee combat aptitude.

It was common in most students, for them to eventually plateau during training and Vistra had plateaued LONG ago in terms of his mastery over the force. His natural talent for the melee combat arts on the other hand showed no signs of slowing down and it was this fact that made Vistra all the more bitter. In his eyes, he had crushed any challenge, test or opponent thrown his way in decisive fashion, why was the need for him to use the force such a pertinent part of his overall training.

It was not long before the bitterness turned to anger, both at his own lack of ability and the Jedi themselves, for forcing teachings upon him that he neither wanted, or had the aptitude to grasp. Some would say it was luck that meant the Jedi didn't pick up on Vistra's increasing anger but in truth, his rage was masked by his brutally savage combat style and his ferocious competitiveness.

When the time came for him to begin his apprenticeship, it came as no surprise to those closely following Vistra's progression who took him as their apprentice. None other than Jedi Master Nhil, who's intrigue had far surpassed just that, developing into an obsession with the boy. It was also no surprise that one who had followed someones teachings so religiously, would have been the one to finally realise the true reason for Vistra's short comings. Vistra had been passively using the force to augment his own strength and speed. It was this passive use of the force that had seriously hindered his ability to use the force for other things... Maybe in part due to over exertion and part due to his bodies natural focus elsewhere.

During his teenage years and throughout his apprenticeship Vistra went through a lot of changes. His love for combat grew into a lust for it and along side it his use of rage to fuel his strength festered. He remained vocal about his opinion on the use of the force for medial tasks, believing that the force should be bent to ones will - used as he had been using it. To empower oneself.

Unlike many Jedi whom relished the ideology of the order, Vistra did not and longed for things out of the reach of a regular Jedi. He found no comfort in the mantra known as the "Jedi Code" and would often discuss with his Master how he felt that numerous lines in the code did not fit his own personal beliefs. For Vistra, emotion gave him peace, it fuelled his blade and his control over the force. He was at his most comfortable in battle. He was not ignorant, but cared little for knowledge outside that which he needed to know, and searched for teachings only when they fuelled his passion for battle.

It was this lust for battle, combined with his rage and the power he sought that eventually led to his downfall. The culmination of all Vistra's issues with the order was a sparing match. One that left the Jedi he had called master, battered, scared and deformed. Overcome with rage that the Jedi Council saw too much darkness in him to grant him the rank of Jedi Master he struck out against his old Master, believing that if he defeated one so great, that the council would have no choice but to see him as superior!

The fight spilled out of the duelling chambers and into the halls of the great Jedi Temple, as Jedi of all ranks looked on in disbelief at what was happening. A number of Jedi jumped in to try and calm the situation, all of which only incurred the wrath of Vista and fuelled his anger more. He had made an enemy of the order and as his blade severed his masters arm he sealed his fate.

Vistra was exiled from the Jedi Order, his lightsaber taken from him and his name added to the archives of the order to be forever used as an example of a how easy it is for one to fall from the light and into the darkness. He returned to his home on Alderaan where he learned of his parents untimely demise.

He had inherited their lands and their titles, but cared not for wealth nor belongings - He craved only vengeance, ruin and power.

He craved the end, of the Jedi.

    • Prologue:

Since his exile from the Jedi, Vistra has undergone many changes, the most prominent of which is that he has done away with the light and traditional robes of the Jedi and has opted for a slightly heavier, but more functional battle armour. Upon his skin, the corruption of the dark side has taken hold, his eyes burn a horrifying shade of reddish-orange and scarring engulfs one side of his face.

Recent years have seen his lightsabers clash with many of the Order, some of whom he has hunted and some who have hunted him. While all who have challenged him have met their end at his blade, he has not come out of it unscathed. Upon his face he now dons a mask that both helps him to breath, increases his longevity in battle and helps to expel harmful gasses he may be exposed to. This mask also is the reason for his more robotic vocal tones.

An adept warrior of the Dark Side he works to reform the power known as the Dread Council alongside others whom have been deemed worthy by its predecessors.
    • Overview:

Since his exile Vistra has become an even more formidable, ferocious and talented duellist. His swordsmanship skills border on the genius while his use of the force has come on in leaps and bounds in recent times. This can be attributed to the anger and the rage that he now freely allows to flow through him, empowering his blade and his power. His overwhelming physical strength serves him well both in lightsaber as well as hand to hand combat.

His skills with hand and blade have earned him a terrifying reputation, and in the numerous engagements he has had with the Jedi none have said to have seen him anywhere but the front line. He relished in combat and the rush that one feels when their life hangs in the balance. He is a man of clear focus and strength of will even in some cases taking a hit, to land a more decisive one.

      Swordsmanship Analysis:

Vistra has used his time away from the Jedi to refine his lightsaber combat style. His focus being on two of the forms of lightsaber combat, the first of which is Form V. Also known as Shien or Djem So, this form is based around turning defensive techniques such as blocking, and using them to push the offensive. Aside from providing Vistra with a well rounded defence, it allowed Vistra to fight both aggressive and smart simultaneously.

The Shien variant of this form is perfect for allowing Vistra to accurately deflect blaster fire back at his opponent, turning the defensive action of blocking, into an offensive one. The accuracy would diminish naturally depending on the amount of fire raining in and how many different attackers there were in different locations.

The Djem So variant of this form, also focused on Vistra defending with solid blocks and parries, before immediately countering with bone crushing blows and ripostes. This style of combat is what allows Vistra to dominate in destructive fashion and helps him to outlast, out power and inevitably outlive his opponents.

The second form with which Vistra is a notable practitioner of is Form IV. Also known as Ataru Vistra used this as an alternative for deflecting blaster fire from multiple shooters. A far more acrobatic and exhausting form, Vistra's larger stature did not naturally suit its style however found that it had some uses. Vistra preferred to use this to surprise opponents, who might of otherwise doubted his acrobatic potential, or if the battlefield he had engaged in was large and open in nature.

      Force Power Analysis:

Vistra's greatest weakness has always been his ability to use the force, and despite his extensive training throughout his exile there are still many aspects that he can not grasp and will have to continue to develop if he ever wishes to be truly undefeated! Regardless of this fact, in his solitude he has managed to vastly improve on his short failings. He has learned to use his anger and his distaste for others to fuel his powers of the dark side.

Vistra's signature use of the force is his uncanny ability to empower himself through his own emotion. This "Force Rage" allows him to tap into his pain and emotion, converting them into an intensely barbaric rage. The overall effect bolstering Vistra's speed, strength and ferocity. The effect of this power was progressive, with it increasing throughout a fight, rather than being an instantaneous effect. Even one as strong willed as Vistra can not sustain this for long periods of time, the aftermath of the rage leaving him exhausted and considerably weakened.

The basics of the force are something that Vistra has only recently finally mastered and began incorporating into his fighting style. These force powers; Grip, Pull, Push, Speed and Jump have all become extremely helpful and allow him to add additional tools to his ever expanding arsenal. That being said, he is not reliant on these powers in the way that others are, and tends to use them as either a last resort in most instances.

Lightsaber throw has become a key tool in Vistra's arsenal, finding that weaker and more susceptible opponents can be cut down in droves by a well timed, well controlled and deadly lightsaber through. For this reason he tends to throw his lightsaber when in pursuit of an opponent who is running away.

Finally, Vistra has recently learnt summon the force in a manor that allows him to conjure short, sharp shocks of lightning. These shocks emanate from his fingertips and allow him a gunshot like projectile that if he learned to sustain, would no doubt be a devastating, all be it taxing ability to use on his enemies. Both as a method of torture and if the situation allowed - on the battlefield.

      Misc:

Vistra has incredible strength naturally, something his above average size and weight greatly increases. This allows him to be able to cause significant damage to an opponent with his hands alone. Using a combination of positioning, leverage and raw power he is able to easily throw or toss opponents who get close enough. Vistra was once seen to have crushed an adult humans wind pipe within the grip of a single hand and is thought to be able to cause significant trauma to parts of an opponents body that his solid punches and kicks land on.

Despite not being a direct combat skill his passion for mechanics, construction and engineering have helped him to not only craft himself a functional and protective armour, but to modify his own personal ship, speeder and droids to be more suited to his own personal needs. Initially it was the intrigue brought on by the creation of his own lightsaber. He has been hooked ever since, furthering his skills even starting to venture into demolitions and other explosive ordinance.
    • Overview:

The Count has a rather distinct personality among the Exiles and is willing to do whatever is necessary to achieve his personal goals. Vistra's personality justifies his reputation as a fierce frontline warrior who believes he was born to wage war and that the dark side of the force was the instrument through which he realised his purpose. In the eyes of The Count war was the epitome of strength- a place where there was no place for weaklings. To Vistra, the cost of war didn't matter as long as the result was one of victory.

Those who execute Vistra's bidding quickly learn that he doesn't tolerate failure at any point and that he requires all those who serve beneath him to secure nothing less that total victory. In the eyes of Vistra his pawns, puppets and hired mercenaries are a extension of himself for the time in which they serve, and anything less than what he will accept will inevitably incur his wrath.

A confident individual Vistra is both brave and bold and does not concern himself with odds of victory or defeat, happy to face any number of opponents simultaneously if he must. He finds joy in killing and has been known to go into a unquenchable rage driven blood lust at times. When faced with this desire to kill, he is more than prepared to kill allies if their are no enemies remaining to satisfy him. For this reason Vistra will often pay pirate, smugglers and bounty hunters to deliver him worthwhile opponents that he can dismember and kill at his pleasure.

Vistra is a man of principle and is not accustomed to home comforts or the high life despite his parentage nor does he care for either. A man of his word he will always keep his promises but while he understands the need for allies he has no room for weakness, or distraction and keeps very few by his side that he would grant the title of friend.

To the few friends he does however he is reliable, to his enemies he is a wrecking ball.
