The Cleansing of Hoth

The Jedi Academy on Hoth had been a hidden secret for far to long after Coruscant's war with the Sith.. Secrets were revealed, and plans were set into motion, today was like any other average day on Hoth for most Jedi there, but that was great.. Early in the morning for Hoth, expecting most Jedi to be sleeping or just waking up from a slumber that would most likely be there last.. The weather was warm, for Hoth at least, with little wind and snow dust, a clear day, a bloody day.. Out of hyperspace, the Sith fleet came into Hoth's orbital system range, giving the Jedi an all out orbital bombardment the second the fleet exited hyperspace, every single gun blasting in one glorious moment, aiming to crush the Jedi's defences and kill most of them before they were even prepared for such an event. The orbital bombardment was meant to be continued by the 4 capital Sith ships and 4 freighters untill the ground troop transports landed on the north, east, and west sides of the mountain, not just beside it, but farther off, out of any turrets range as a specific Sith led a certain side of the mountain.. The orbital bombardment would continue untill the mountain was to collapse now, or untill the ground around it got smashed into collapsing any Jedi tunnels and hidden bases beyond the mountain, the trnasports however started landing outside their capital ships range for now.. Very soon also, the person aircraft and bombers commanded by Raven Desh would be deporting, and they would proof almost an impenetrable defence from fleeing aircraft, nevermind the capital ships would shoot the Jedi ships down in or outside the atmosphere later even if they somehow made it.. The location of Hoth came into Sith knowledge from a Falleen spy on Alderaan, and later confirmed by Valaraukar when he tortured a Jedi Knight, Indigo..

*A single Jedi Watch Center had seen the Sith ships enter the system and immediately alerted the Academy and sent a Distress call to the Capital of the Republic, Coruscant. From there, an intelligence officer redirected it to a secret transmitter that automatically sent Jedi Transmissions to the Station.*


*Time Passes*


*A single Republic Capital Ship exited Hyperspace just outside of scanner range. In it's hangar, 10 squadrons of Starfighters lay in wait. Most of them piloted by Jedi who had come to defend their fellows on the ground. The Jedi Station, who's secret location was secret to even the highest up in the Republic, had been put on full alert, and fighters scrambled to dock with the nearest Republic Capital ship.

Luckily, that same ship was commanded by one of the only people who knew the Location of the Jedi, and had stopped there to resupply it. A trusted man, and a friend to the Jedi, Trillan Darksword.*

*All of the Bridge crew was hard at work dispatching fighters and issues orders to organise the defenses. The surface of Hoth was being bombarded by laser fire, and the real battle was about to begin. Jedi Starfighters were boarding with his Capitol Ship at a rate which left only a few second intervals. Squadrons of fighters moved to intercept Sith ships before they could do any damage to allied ground support.

"Open fire on the Sith Flag Ship, Aim to distract not destroy..Not yet"

Trillan stood at the front viewing screen and looked on as the battle unfolded, both sides were losing fighters for almost each one that sprung from a capitol ship. Ground forces were setting there laser batterys to defend against the Orbital strikes and were already well underway.*

"This is Trillan Darksword to all open channels. Hold them off until all reinforcements arrive!"

ooc: my real complaint is how the fuck did the republic get here so fast. we havent even had time to land our ground forces yet but you have the time to assemble a republic fleet, go into hyperspace, and come up in hoth BEFORE we even land the ground forces? i thought the vip got there positions for a reason.. nevermind the jedi didnt even signal the republic yet, fuck, the jedi havent done anything yet, and before you say the base was on full alert arron, that doesnt mean that the republic can enter the same post as that happened

but there hasnt been anymention of hte republic in there that i remember. the Station is after all a Jedi Academy and has its own defenses.

OOC: Technically, none of you should have heard it. The Jedi haven't done anything besides started to get bombed, even if, by some miracle, their communications still worked, it'd take at least several hours, if not a day or two for the message to get to you, you guys assemble, then get here. And that's saying they've already sent the message (Which they have not.)

ooc: Somone delete this thread and start it when the jedi has cracked. The republic can't act immidatly neither do to not knowing an attack would be made.

Staff OOC: Ok guys...listen up. OOC comments should be taken to pm's or discussed in the thread Ryan has already made. Secondly, I would think the Jedi on Hoth at this time would be responding first to the attack. Third, the Sith can't say how much damage is done to the Jedi and the Jedi can't dictate how much damage is done to the Sith. You're all mature enough to know when you can't avoid damage and when you can, but just in case I'll keep an eye on this thread. Also, the Republic would take at least a day or even two (1-2 posts from you before you arriven detailing your journey) to get troops here unless they were pulled from another area. STILL it should be rp'd where the troops came from and how they got word of this. Jedi could feel the deaths of others in the Force and head to Hoth but not know what is going on unless word came from the people of Hoth and AGAIN they would have the same response time as the Republic. Post numbers of all sides. Ryan also you should post how you knew Hoth's location in your first post.
