Megacity
A few highest blocks of skyscrapers on Nar Shaddaa are called Megacity by locals. It’s a residential and business buildings, owned by the most wealthy and powerful cartels of the planet. If they could or wished to plate it with gold - they would. Entering the space of Megacity block on any airspeeder or spaceship requires permit from the ruling clan/cartel of the block. In case the vessel didn't have one it will be shot down by laser turrets and security vehicles.
Danger level: none

Upper city
The biggest and thickest layer of the planetwide city. All the residential, business and entertainment facilities for most of the planet's population and visitors are located here. Spaceports, landing zones, transport hubs and space terminals are considered part of the Upper city, even if it stands lower then Upper city levels.
Danger level: low

Lower city
Located below the upper city, it mostly populated by the poor, unemployed and homeless people. Average inhabitant of Lower city is considered outcast by all the other population of the planet. The crime syndicates and gangs make their business here, because the Lower city is out of jurisdiction of Nar Shaddaa security force. Even the mightiest of the clans and syndicates, who populate the Megacities of the world prefer to make their shady business here, then risk it in the shining halls of their palaces. All illegal imigrants, who cannot afford to pay the registration tax, buy an apartment and find a job eventually end up in here.
Danger level: high

Undercity
This region cannot even be called a city. It’s a labyrinth of tunnels and sewers, which run under the Lower city. Its complitely un populated by any sentient being but swarming with wild animals, mutants, diseases and plagues, that sometimes go up to the Lower city. The inhabitants of Lower city rarely enter this maze in search of food or trying to hunt wild animals, but it is considered very dangerous and discouraged. The crime gangs and various thugs don’t dwell in here, except if they absolutely have to keep their meetings secret. Sometimes the tunnels of Nar Shaddaa are used as hiding places for criminals, or as a place to stash something you don’t want anyone to find.
Danger level: extreme

The Deeps
The mysterious Deeps, which inhabitants of Nar Shaddaa consider to be a myth. Endless caves and dungeons, running even lower then Undercity, inhabitate by Force know what monsters. Or not inhabited at all. No-one ever went that far below, and if someone had, he never came back to tell the tale.
But the myth survives, and is commonly used by parents to tell their kids a scary stories about the monsters from the Deeps.
Danger level: unknown

I like this thought. Just keep in mind, Nar Shaddaa always is dangerous; its a hive of criminal activity and essentially the true center of the Hutt Empire since it serves as the main hub of all of their activity. Though the Hutts live on Nal Hutta, look at it this way; if Nal Hutta is the brain of the Cartel, then Nar Shaddaa is most certainly the heart, pumping out their will across the galaxy due to its many docks, spaceports, and other such things including the holonet hub on its surface. So, while some areas are less dangerous due to the prosimity to Hutt interests, it is always dangerous to be on the Smuggler's Moon.

My biggest interest is the Deeps; what could live there, or operate there? Falling from one of Nar Shaddaa's spires can leave one falling for days until their inevitable demise when they collide with a spire, airspeeder, or beam. What could live that deep in the surface? Whatever it might be would certainly be an entity I'd like to see.

Well, its a wide field to dig in, im not sure i alone should write it up. But if the Deeps are so large and unexplored, there can be anything. Even something like a Krayt dragon, or a space worm, who knows?

This looks to be really interesting and a good description. I would contact the Hutt leadership team and see what they think about incorporating it into their write ups...
Just a small note, Nar Shadda is a moon, not a planet.... So it's really not that big, I would say it's mass is probably equal to our own moon

Im pretty familiar with SW cannon)) Nar Shaddaa is indeed a moon, physically about a half of Earth. so its much bigger then our moon, with Nal Hutta aproximately the same size as earth. But in common Nar Shaddaa may be referred as planet cause its much more inhabited comparing to other moons. Its just a slang, not a astronomical fact, but i will fix it if it brings too much confusion.
And thanks for the approval, im glad if someone will find this piece usefull or interesting)
