The Boontas Eve Swoop - Sign Ups and OOC
With the new year fast approaching, I have decided to play host to a little race, in celebration of the coming year, both for SWRP and us in general! We have in the past tried swoop races before, and not to a great deal of success, so whilst this will be an OPEN thread, I will be setting out a system that we can use to play :)
The Race will take place IC on Boontas Eve, in the Nar Shaddaa race track, and I'll close sign ups on News Years Eve OOC for a nice bit of irony. So please link your character below, the faction or sponsor they are racing for and I'll add you in. Do read on for the Race and Sponsor System!
The Race System
- This will naturally be PvP enabled, but most likely you can get out unscathed due to ejector seats or something.
- Starting Posts: Racers will post their starting post, being on the line and then 'launching' their Swoop. They may post in bold an action that they will be taking in the race at the bottom of their post.
- UPDATE - Posted by the OP. Random events may be thrown into the mix here. The rankings of the racers will be posted based on the starting posts quality.
- First Lap: Racers will react to the actions of their fellow racers, and the update. They will then post about the first lap of the race, and then may post their actions in the usual way.
- UPDATE - Posted by the OP, with a random event maybe thrown in. Rankings updated.
- Second Lap: Racers will react to the actions of their fellow racers, and the update. They will then post about the second lap of the race, and then may post their actions in the usual way.

- Third Lap: Racers will react to the actions of their fellow racers, and the update. They will then post about the third lap of the race, and then may post their actions in the usual way.

- Race Close: The Race will be called by the OP!
The Sponsor System
- PvP Disabled due to space magic.
- Sponsors must put in 100,000.00 Peggats per racer they sponsor (4 mill credits).
- Sponsors may PM the OP ONCE with a Sabotage Action, at any point in the race. This may or may not work depending on how the race goes.
- Sponsors will win 'crazy dollar' if their racer wins.
