Talia Darlton assumes control of the backwater Kolto research facility, develops a method of processing Kolto into a healing product, and launches the Kolto trade with the formation of the Darlton Pharmaceuticals Corporation.

• Talia Darlton is met by a representative of the Hutts who learns about Talia's research.
• Talia continues her research, nearing a breakthrough.
• Her supervisor, Doctor Kitz attempts to hamstring her research.
• Talia's underworld contact provides her with funds.
• Talia orchestrates an 'accident' that renders Kitz in Intensive Care.
• Talia completes her research and secretly celebrates the development of processed Kolto.
• Talia, keeping the success to herself, arranges for the purchase of Kolto Fields from the Selkath.
• Talia founds the Darlton Pharmaceuticals Corporation.

5. What do you or your character hope to achieve with this plot? What is the "end-game"?

Talia Darlton develops Processed Kolto and begins to sell it to the Hutt faction at a discounted price.

6. Do you need any involvement of canon NPCs or faction leaders to be DMed by a staff member? If so, please detail who/what and for what purpose.

If any, a holocomm meeting with a member of the Hutt leadership in the finale to discuss going forward on securing a monopoly on Kolto on Manaan.

@Vinny Upon further review, there are a few issues with this plot, which I will outline below:

1. This is a pretty far-reaching goal for a Level 1 character. A lot of groundwork needs to be laid to launch a company (which we consider PC organizations) and those aspects need to be addressed well before this phase. You would need to have a company framework, members (employees, if you will), and the resources necessary to acquire equipment (and run said equipment). All of that could be done in its own plot, but shouldn't be shoehorned into this one.
2. Your character seems to have a fair bit of influence in your outline (i.e., they have underworld contacts, some of whom are even willing to fund them, etc.). Level 1 characters are basically your average Joe. They would not have these types of contacts. You would need to establish these in the RP and at least be Level 2 to have the influence necessary to accomplish what you're setting out to do.
3. More opposition is needed. If this thread were to go through as is, the Hutts (and your PCs company) would have a virtual monopoly over medicinal kolto. A type of plot that would influence one faction over the others like that would 1) be a faction plot 2) need some considerable resistance, preferably from rival companies and governments, because literally no one would allow such a precious resource to so easily fall into the hands of the Hutts.
4. Kolto is naturally occurring and naturally a healing product. Therefore, there is no way for anyone to "invent" it as a medicinal product. It is like that in its natural state. You can only synthesize it or make it more potent.

In short, I feel like you had the right idea with this plot, but it is a bit too ambitious for your character's current standing in the IC world. You can either rework this plot to address my concerns and resubmit, or wait until you have the necessary resources/conditions to proceed. For now, though, this plot is rejected.
