The clang of his armour on the hard floor of the ship reverberated around the command deck. He could feel the tremors of his battle lust slowly taking his heart, the feeling of exhileration that came with such a magnificent and primal thing.

Battle was something that changed the galaxy, from the beginnings of time to whenever the galaxies suns burned out there would be only one true constant.

Battle, and as he stood on his ship looking out at the stars.....He knew it was coming.

A medium sized robotic walked among the ship, approaching the mighty Mandalore and standing not even as high as his waist. It was dark metal with three crab like legs with a tine sensor under it's belly as a projector was resting on top of it's hull. As it approached The Mandalore, a holographic image started to form into an incredibly obese Hutt's head. Mandalore would recognize who he was, as no other Hutt stood out as much as this particular one.

"Mandalore, what is the current situation with your warriors and Corellia?"

Grand Hutt Gorrbag asked, sitting safely in his compound on Nal Hutta with several armed guards and a few other Hutt underlings at his side to discuss the plans that he and The Mandalore have put together.

Mandalore bristled at the hutt asking him such direct questions but nevertheless turned to the gigantic disgusting beast.

"We are on route to Correlia. We aim to exit hyperspace within the next hour, and the plan is fairly simple. The war front has been quiet for some time now and it is most important that we continue the initiative, so you will see what I deem to be keeping the initiative, Hutt."

The blue swirl of hyperspace continued on as Mandalore did nothing but glared at it's never ending tunnel of light, soon he would be doing what he was born to do...So soon.

A'den was on the ship, training in the ways of stealth. He had snuck up to the bridge and around the ship, gaining what information he could, then left back to his bunks. He donned his armor, certain that battle would be soon. A'den made sure his equipment was good, checked his rifle and made sure his knife was razor sharp.

Tyr Tm'halk was in his room on the ship heading to Corellia. He was checking all his weapons and equipment for the fight ahead. He disliked waiting on the ship in space. He did not like to be in space especially because he could not do anything in space. Tyr loved to be on the ground because he could take control of what was happening there. In space he could not and leave his life in the hands of the pilot.

"Mother fraking gun, so fracking hard to fracking clean." Tyr said to him self as he cleaned his sniper rifle. There was nothing better to do so he wanted everything to be in its best when they got to Corellia.

Tyr then started to think about who he would be fighting with soon. He heard about Mandalore but he never seen him in battle before. Tyr could not wait to fight right next to Mandalore and die for him if needed to. Tyr was ready to do his duty for his home planet and for his people. not really for the hutts for all he cared they could go and frack themselves. It will be his race that will take the battlefield today.

Tyr was happy for the way he felt and he was done with everything he had to do. So he decided to go out of his room and see what he could run into. Tyr then left only taking one of his slug pistols with him and went out the door walking down the hallway.

"All formations are to fly a loose pattern, we are aiming for speed and maneuverability so I don't want whole formations close knit together for this is no conventional fight day. Do not get drawn into a battle with the defense force as today is not a day for glorious combat. Today is a day to objectives to be completed. We are to raid Correlia, do as much damage as possible before we leave. Remember, Haatyc or'arue jate'shya ori'sol aru'ike nuhaatyc.

The small fleet exited hyperspace with a lurch, Hutt hyperspace technology was a lot more basic then that off the Republic but the ship's managed to get back into there loose formations, the one carrier with the group expelled it's fighters with great speed before the smaller quick cruisers began the short journey towards Correlia's space ports, mischief and battle lust in there hearts.

The droid, still with Gorrbag's holographic image showing, followed the Mandalore and listened in to the small speech he gave to his fellow warriors. Gorrbag knew that they, The Taung and Mandalore, were his best men for this war and were far more capable then the mercs and hunters he hired. However, they were only following Gorrbag and his Empire for their own reasons, and so long as Gorrbag kept them satisfied and their so called dreams a reality, they would be obedient.

"I don't know what you said at the end there, but I take it it was well said for your fellow warriors. One last thing, Mandalore... When you go planet side, be sure to bring back some good supplies of Corellian Ale, that stuff is going to be hard to get after you decimate the surface."

--------------------

Now with his fellow warriors and Mandalore, Barghest stood next to two other Taung warriors as he extended the blades on his wrists, examining them to make sure they were not too dull for the coming battle. Once he saw they were sharp enough, he withdrew them as he cracked his neck left and right, anxious for the up coming battle he and his brothers were about to enter.

Tyr heard what Mandalore said on the speakers and his heart gave. They were here and it was time. He was standing there doing nothing and all his stuff was in his room. Tyr realized this and took off back the way he came.

Tyr got back to his room and put on his armor and got everything he needed and left to the hanger. When Tyr got to his ship in the hanger he started everything up and checked to see if they were any problems, he found none. Tyr then saw other ships leaving the hanger but he decided to wait and see if any one else would like to tag along with him before he left. His ship could hold four others and there was no reason for him to leave so soon. That and Tyr hope some one would come that could fly better than he could and fly the damn thing to the planet.

Tyr was happy to finaly be there and he could not wait for how the day was going to play out. Tyr would wait ten minutes and see if any one would come. If no one came in that time he would be one of the last ships to leave to the planet.

A'den heard Mandalore and understood, made one final check off then left to the hangar. He got inside the ship across from Tyr. He strapped in then nodded to Tyr.

"Ready for this my friend?" There was just a small amount of anxiousness, but that always happens to him before a battle. Nothing he couldn't control.

Admiral Wilhelm Gilbschwitz of the 4th Republic Fleet smiled coldly, the holo-display underlighting his face. They said forewarned was forearmed.

They were certainly not wrong.

The advanced sensor batteries of the early warning systems had pinpointed a burst of tell-tale Cronau radiation; a number of large ships arriving together. Potentially an attack. It certainly heralded the arrival of a large group of ships. Normally not a concern, but this group was coming from the direction of Hutt Space.

As a result, the Admiral had his main line battleships form a firing cordon against the incoming threat. Eighty of his ninety ships had been organised into a slight 'v' shape, consisting of three firing groups, the most powerful ships at regular intervals in the line. His ships were watching out for other bursts of the telltale Cronau radiation, wary of an attack on multiple fronts. They were also transmitting back to Coruscant, standard protocol, warning of a possible impending attack, and keeping high command aware of the possibility for the requirement of reinforcements from the reserve fleets.

His Corvette compliment had been called in to act as a picket line, to stop any ships landing on the planet. And arrayed around the planet, before the fleet, there were active minefields in the space all around Corellia to traverse. Corellia was a truly impregnable bastion.

And, unhappily, the Admiral had been right. Ships began to drop out of Hyperspace. A scan informed him that the group contained a Carrier and a number of Cruisers, not of Republic origin. Hutt forces, coming to wreak Havoc.

The Admiral had been right, but he was smiling for a different reason. Assigned to a defensive fleet, Gilbschwitz was in possesion of some of the most powerful weaponry available to a Republic commander.

The Orbital guns were position. A message clicked over interfleet comms. ''The guns are all in position sir, warmed up and ready to fire. Orders?''

He picked up the receiver, switching to whole fleet transmission. ''All guns fire.'' He felt the slight vibration as the guns on his own flagship, the Indomitable Will of the Gods, opened fire, along with all the other ships in the fleet.

Turbolaser fire without number, as well as hundreds of torpedos, rockets and even solid slugs lanced out across the void, aiming to cripple and devastate the attacking forces, that had already disgorged fighters and bombers.

The Republic would punish without distinction, or mercy.

Tyr was sitting in his ship checking the space outside of the ship for any danger. He did not find any ships at first then noticed there was a fleet outside and they just open fired at there fleet.

Now would be a good time to go Tyr thought to him self right when another mando jumped into the seat next to him and made himself at home. The man asked Tyr if he was ready for this and Tyr first looked at the door behind and saw no one else coming to his ship. Then looked back at the mando.

" I was born ready for this day" He said back and Tyr closed the back door and the ship flew out of the hanger at top speed. Tyr wanted to get away from the fleet because of two reasons. First he was behind the other ships that left while he was waiting for only one other to join and the second part is that there fleet was about to be attack and Tyr did not want to fight in space.

Tyr turned his head to his new friend and said. " You mind if we just go straight to the planet and try not to get in a space fight. Also you may call my Tyr and what may I call you my new friend."

"No ship's or troops are designated for ground assault, anyone tries for the surface will answer to me directly"

Mandalore had underestimated the Republic's ability to gather a fleet against him but that was entirely the main point of this raid, he was here to test out the Republic's ability to bring a fleet against an attack on the core, so with his fighters ready and his carrier along with over 50 small maneuverable scout ship's along with the single giant carrier his ship's took the pounding the Republic sent to them, there shields flickering slightly with the barrage, the fleet was ordered to move back slightly out of the Orbital guns range.

If the Republic wanted this fleet gone then they would have to kick them out.

''Sir! Zey haff moved out of range of ze torpedoes!'' The Admiral's flag captain called to him.

''I can see that, Captain, i am at the holo-tank too.'' Wilhelm replied curtly. No matter. They may have moved out of torpedo range, but the Taung fleet would have to move a very, very long distance to move out of range of the orbital cannons.

''The Orbital guns have a near unlimited range. Order them to focus upon the carrier. Ceasefire with torpedos, continue turbolaser barrage.''

In the deep vacuum of space, magnetic accelerator cannons spewed huge ferros shells into enemy positions, turbolasers lancing through the black. The Taung WOULD fall today.

"Sorry but as Mandalore just said, we can't. But you can called me A'den." A'den looked at one of the screens inside his HUD. "Watch out they are firing their orbital cannons."

The orbital range of the canons was most impressive indeed but no matter.

"All fighters, move forward at most speed and engage those orbital guns, keep them busy and make sure you keep them busy."

The Carrier moved away from the incoking blast, moving it's side with the strongest section of shields against the incoming blast, this still caused the ship to shudder under the massive impact, knocking out several of the Carrier guns and leaving deep indentations against them.

No matter, the Carrier's main task was merely the distribution of the fighters, with it moving in a circling flight plan to keep the orbital trackers of the guns off it several scoot ship's, small well armed and agile ship's went to aid the fighters in there attacks on the orbital guns.

And once they came in rang, with the rightious fury of Kad, Ha'rangir volleys of fire attacked the guns.

"aaahh hell" Tyr said to himself right after mandalore told them no landing on the planet. Tyr did not know there were not going to not attack the planet ground. He hated flying and he was not in a mood to fly around and kill fighters.

"Ok A'den. but im not worried about those guns". Tyr did some moves to avoid getting hit and then said. "I don't know about you but I hate being in ships. I want to kill something with my own hands." Then Tyr got on the fleet intercom. "This is Tyr Tm'halk can I fly into a hanger on one of those republic ships and show them what a Mandalorean fist looks like and try to disable it from the inside". Tyr was not sure what answer he was going to get back. But if it was a "no" them he would have to fly around and kill fighters all day. How boring, Tyr wanted to fight like how he was taught by his father.

He turned to A'den. " you wanna go crashing in a hanger and crash some poor guy party." He said with a smile hiden behind his helm.

A'den smiled inside his armor. What Tyr just suggested was exactly what he liked to do.

"Yes, but only if we have clearence. I would not like to disobey our leader." Nevertheless, A'den ran through his equipment.

Tyr was glad that A'den was on the same page as he was. Tyr was with his new friend all the way. If anything he would never go and do something he just asked with out premission.

"Hey A'den go and grab some explosives in there." Tyr pointed to were his old buddy use to stack some explosives. His friend knew that Tyr never liked to use them but he was smart enough to give Tyr the good stuff. "are you good with explosive. Because me when I use them I tend to do a bad job. But my plan is to blow up a reactor so a good bomb there should do the trick."

"I'm okay. Took out some guard towers in unison so our forces could continue. But remember. Only if Mandalore allows. Otherwise, let's keep'm busy."
