Kiara sat with her knees up to her chest, her arms wrapped around them. Another argument. It was a daily occurrence now. The farm was failing, everybody knew it, but any mention of the dire situation they were facing sent father into a rage. She gazed at the stillness of the lake she sat beside, this was her getaway, a clearing in the forest not far from the homestead. Kiara heard the footsteps behind her and glanced over her shoulder to see who it was. She smiled faintly.

"Thought I'd find you here," Renfry said as he sat on the grass next to his sister. The clearing had been their favourite place to play as children. He spied a tree on the forest edge which they had once etched their names into, long ago. A pang of nostalgia tore through him, happy memories which seemed a million miles away. "We'll get through this, you know? We always do."

"I know," Kiara replied with a sigh, "Sometimes it's just good to get away. I suppose we better go back though." She stood up and helped Renfry up to his feet. They were a few meters away from the edge of the forest when they both came to a stop. They heard running. The sound grew louder and before either of them had time to react, the creature came sprinting into the clearing. Humanoid in form, the creature had grey skin, white eyes and a mouth full of razor-sharp teeth.

Kiara watched in horror as the creature lunged for her brother. There was a horrendous crunching sound and Renfry lay motionless on the ground. It took mere seconds for the creature to turn its gaze onto Kiara, blood dripping from its mouth.

She didn't have a chance to scream.

Hey, I'm Ash, my character is Silas Lo-Taren, a Jedi Knight and member of the Shadow sect. The above is just a teaser for the plot I'm interested in doing.

Reports have been received of attacks on Andaran civilians by creatures of yet unknown origins. There are also rumours that an abandoned Exile outpost lies deep in the forest, a leftover from their occupation. Whether the reports and the rumours are connected remains to be seen. Andara is Silas' homeworld, so he wants to find out what's going on and as he is hunting for Exiles, he wants to see if he can pick up a trail for one by searching for the abandoned outpost. I was planning on this being a main faction plot, perhaps some Jedi have been dispatched to investigate the attacks or the rumours about the outpost. Although, this could just as easily be a character plot.

I'm happy for you to come up with whatever reason you want for your character to be there though. Obviously, the plot needs to be fleshed out a bit more and more detail added, I'm just trying to gauge interest in the idea beforehand.
