Prompt: A resistance movement has cropped up on Urce, brave citizens one and all, trying to stand up to the Sith menace. The Order has made contact with one of the larger rebel cells, and have successfully smuggled quite a few weapon crates to the surface. Thankfully, the weapons arrived safely. The rebels, with the aid of some brave Jedi, were able to train and become a well-oiled fighting machine. Urce is home to a moderately sized Imperial garrison lording over the Capital city. If the garrison falls the Capital will belong to the rebels. The planet’s citizens have been waiting for their chance. It has come. Join the rebels, inspire them with confidence, and lead them against the Empire. If Urce is liberated this corner of the galaxy will be closer to peace.

It is night on the surface of Urce. You can see the Imperial garrison looming in the distance. Your fellow Jedi are with you. You can feel the anticipation of the rebels beside you. The area is considerably hilly and the darkness should lend you cover. Be prepared for the Sith to march out and meet you if you are spotted. Stealth will be your ally until the last possible moment. You should use every single advantage, including the rebel's knowledge of the landscape and garrison. Before you begin your assault a short message plays. The Grand Master's voice buzzes through the comm links. "May the Force be with you."

OOC: Lanna is wearing Jedi Modular Armor, and a cloak. On her belt, she has a Lightsaber, grappling hook, two SA-21 Sunspear Heavy Blasters, Three Thermal detonators, and 2 EMP Grenades hidden away under her robes.

Lanna could smell intensity in the crisp night air, and she was on the edge. The action of war made her blood thin, and every little thing around her was important enough to grant her attention. She had the familiar presence of adrenaline to aid her in battle, and a strong connection to the force humming around the land on which she stood. Cautiously, she had her force signature pulled tightly around her, to keep from alerting her enemies of where she was.

The woman's initiate Karyn Elan, and another Jedi Knight would be executing the attack with her. They slunk in the shadows, prepared to infiltrate the great structure. She had just silently scaled the wall with the help of her wire grappling hook, and lifted herself over the edge, onto the ground. Her heavy boots barely made sound as she moved across the rampart, and knelt behind the stone battlements of the structure to peer down at the the courtyard of the place. It was dark, but not so dark that she was blinded to what was in front of her.

Lightsaber in her right hand, but not yet ignited, she was ready to block potential sprays of blaster bolts, or ward off the presence of an enemy that got too close for comfort. Patiently, Lanna waited for her companions to get into position to attack.

Battle was no longer something that stirred the beast within her, the panicked rush and joyful fear of open combat had long since faded from Emerald's heart, having spent well over a decade fighting in this forsaken war against the sith she knew what it was to kill. The ever present temptation of the darkside had almost become comforting after the years spent toeing the line of what it meant to be a Jedi fighting for justice and what simply went too far, more often than not that line was more of a blur or haze and one could never be to certain of where it began or ended. If anything, it was nice to have younger and lesser experienced Jedi around to help keep perspective, but sometimes Emerald wondered if that would be enough to see her through till the end of this bloody war, if it ever came.

It could be an odd thing for some, seeing Emerald go from the friendly feline to the battle hardened Jedi knight, difficult or not Emerald had the scars to prove her service. The left side of her face no longer grew fur, the exposed skin ran down past her neck and extended down the majority of her arm and back. Much of her chest still held the twisted imprint where sith lightning had once ripped through her flesh. If anything she knew what to expect, sith where a brutal and unrefined lot but they were still powerful, no matter how cocky or arrogant, no sith was to be underestimated and Emerald had come prepared to deal with whatever was thrown at her.

While she'd never met either of the other two Jedi, she'd heard of Councillor Singh, though the initiate was a mystery to her. Once upon a time Emerald would have considered it a high honor to serve alongside such a high ranking member of the Jedi, but nowadays she understood that for the most part all Jedi were equals. Rank and structure were more for organization than anything else. Even so, as the Horansi watched the human woman begin scaling her way up the wall, she had to wonder if it was a good idea for a member of the Jedi Council to be the first up, surely not, but it was more of a trivial matter then anything and Emerald saw no real reason to voice such concerns. Instead, taking the grappling hook she'd borrowed from the rebel forces and following Lanna's lead.

It didn't take long to arrive at the top, moving opposite of Lanna, moving along the ramparts in the other direction so they could get a better look of the place and cover more ground. Emerald ducked behind some sort of scaffolding as two guards made the rounds, her Force signature drawn as close as the end of her cloak as her feet whispered across the stone underfoot. She quickly made her way behind the two men, once they were both within reach she stood and growled low, causing them to turn around just as she grabbed them both by their necks. Two dull snaps a second later and Emerald was left shoving their bodies into an empty crate as she waited for Karyn to join her and Lanna.

Double Bladed Lightsaber, Located on her utility belt.
Electroblade, located on her right boot.
Electro-Whip, located on the inside of her robes attached to her utility belt on the right hand side.
MZ-99 "Smack Down" Grenade x3, located inside her robes along the back of her utility belt on the left hand side.
SA-17 "Mercy", located inside her robes, holstered to her left hip.
KPWD-Warden's Blaster, attached to a sling over her shoulder, hangs on her right side when not pushed to her back.

Karyn's veins drummed with adrenaline, powering her on tirelessly through the shadowy forest. She presently found herself on the world of Urce, a world that wholly didn't matter, but none the less was the lucky recipient of Jedi Intervention. Urce found itself within the tyrannical grasp of the Empire, a grasp that Karyn had sworn to shatter. As her boots met dried leaves and twigs, nearing the towering Sith wall, she found her mind drifting to her long deceased mother. The woman whose last name and resemblance she bore had once led the Dark Order, and Karyn was still unsure as to why her mother had fallen to the Dark Side. Had she been seduced? Or was there some truth Karyn had yet to discover? These were questions she would discover in due time. Right now she was here, part of a Jedi Taskforce, and she needed to set aside these thoughts of her mother in order to focus on more pressing matters—mainly where the fuck they'd found a walking talking cat, and how they'd taught it to use a lightsaber.

Lanna had tried to lecture her that there were a whole species of cat people, and that it wasn't polite to call them cat people, but Karyn didn't really care what Lanna said in the first place sooooo Cat People it was. She had her force aura pulled around her, officially so that the Sith wouldn't feel her presence, but truly because she was creeped the fuck out by their teammate and worried she'd like read her mind or something. Likewise, Karyn carried one of her sabers in her right hand, concerned about enemies both domestic and abroad. Lanna was the first up the wall, leaving her alone with their feline friend Chartreuse. Under her helmet Karyn's lips tightened into a grimace as she cursed Lanna for abandoning her. What the hell ever happened to no man left behind. Soon Chartreuse was climbing the wall to join her treacherous master, and Karyn was once again in the clear. She launched her grappling hook towards the top of the wall and began to run towards it. Her mind found itself wondering if Shamrock had been a part of the Jedi during her mother's time—if so it fully answered all the questions that Karyn had been pondering beforehand.

She scaled the wall with the grace of a dancer, her eyebrows wagging proudly as she reached the top. Her aforementioned eyebrows shot up in surprise as she stepped back, seeing Olive slaughtering some Sith soldiers with her hands, and shoving them into crates. Her mind instantly began to worry about what those paws could do around Karyn's own neck, and then she shook her head. "Yo Master Singh, can we go kick ass now? Or are we gonna pour some wine and throw a picnic up here?"

lexei wafts through the steel corridors of the Imperial garrison. Armor polished and agleam, the General is armed to the teeth and ready for the inevitable battle. Given that outside intel indicated a potential assault on the final Imperial bastion of Urce, he had come personally to insure the world remained under the Empire, and to prove his worth to the Emperor. So, with his equipment in check, he rambles through roll call from under the comfort of his helmet, integrated with his communicator and to the two remote thermal detonators attached to a single strap on his lower right side.

Ensign Yuri and Nikolai, report in,” he says, voice dull and somber due to the onset of the night. “Ensign Yuri and Nikolai— I repeat. Are you there?” Silence continues, and his heart instantly skips a beat. Those two were patrolling the northern ramparts for the garrison, and if they weren’t calling in, it only meant one thing.

He picks up his feet. Metal heels click, guiding him forward through the slender halls of the base. Over his communicator, he calls in two of the Inquisitors who had accompanied him to the world: “Inquisitors— potential incursion on the northern wall. Report there immediately.” He grunts, and picks up his speed. Within several moments, he slips out into the open air of an empty courtyard. That’s when he catches them: three robed silhouettes, wandering over the scaffolding, barely visible under moonlight and the dull artificial glow from neighboring searchlights.

Jedi. Other reports likewise indicated the Order having involved themselves in this growing resistance movement, so Alexei didn’t doubt the thought for a second. Adjusting his pulse rifle into each hand as it hangs from the lone strap over his left shoulder, he silently cocks the lower portion of his weapon and aims toward the three shadows. Without a single delay, he fires into the general direction of the enemy shadows, who remained at an angled twenty meters away, accounting for the courtyard length and height of the wall. While his explosive shot was not aimed at any specific silhouette, given his quick response, the three assailants seemed within close enough range of each other for the ensuing explosion to tear several of them apart. Or at least, one of them.

As the intruders would have been too preoccupied either stuffing bodies into crates, or talking amidst each other, the chance of a quick reaction to the shot from the dark courtyard below was unlikely. Or in other words, a way to stop the tiny projectile by the force, especially as it makes its way through the shadows of the night, was just as rare. The ensuing explosion, if hit, would potentially only slap in between the two other shadows (one meter from @Undine, three from @Prudence, for maximum randomness), thereupon sending out a thermal rupture that would engulf the two in either fire or shrapnel.

Of course, there was still the tiny off-chance of an escape, as well as the other intruder aboard the ramparts, so Alexei took no chance in lowering his guard. However, it’s not until he glances around that he catches the two Inquisitors at his side (@EmilyHuene, @Kaane). How long they had been there, or what they might have done themselves— he cared little, and neither would he take the time to properly acknowledge them. He had a battle to fight; a battle to win.

God, I feel like such a lil' bitch writing this post, given the no-warning attack. But since y'all are force-wielding crazies and I'm just a simpleton Imperial, I ain't ashamed. Anyway, here's the gear he currently has updated from his CS:

Redoubt Armor w/ customized functions: 1) HUD, 2) Repulsorboots 3) Auditory Frequency Modulators

B0-0M Pulse Rifle (x3 ammo clips, x2 projectile reloads), also currently in his use at this very moment
Detachable dual phase saberstaff; granted from the vaults of the Empire by his request
TS-15 Pistol (x1 ammo clips), on right side
J0-LT Stun Blaster (x2 ammo clip), on left side

EMP grenade (x1)
Sonic grenades (x2)
Thermal detonators (x3)

(OOC: Armaments are same as in profile: 1 lightsaber, 3 kyber crystals (used as shrapnel grenades with his ability to shatter them explosively), his ceremonial dagger/Force Weapon, and a light variant of Inquisition armor. I will be adding one EMP grenade in addition to the above.)

A quiet room; two figures cloaked in the dim glow of candlelight, one receiving the sacred blessings of another in a ritual that took years to perfect. The guttural tones of the language of the Purebloods were the only sound that penetrated the deadening gloom. The air was heavy with more than the scent of incense; there was a palpable blackness emanating from it, and the guards that occasionally passed by the closed entryway to the room hurried past it with haste.

Excessive? Perhaps. But arcane were Salazarrh's ways.

"And from the Dark we are given a light unlike any other, an unquenchable fire that burns within us. It consumes us yet makes us whole, devours us yet grants us strength. We are both Nothing and Everything. Slave and Master. Teacher and Learner."

The mantra, a drone oddly both comforting and unsettling, had been going on for the past few minutes with Salazarrh's hands on the shoulders of his partner for this particular assignment, a Priestess named Ashlyn Sera. Still, she took on many of the duties of an Inquisitor it seemed, judging by what little he knew of her exploits. Not that he minded; anyone who had been a part of the Priesthood was his brethren. As the Sith changed around them into an ever-more unrecognizable form, one had to adapt, as the Thyrsian himself did long ago. However, it was important to remind himself once in a while of their true loyalty. He had hoped this momentary respite, an ancient rite of preparation for battles both physical and mental, would do the same for her.

"The Mystery of Sith,"
he concluded, gently removing his gloved hands from contacting her. Only to be greeted by the jarring sound of his comm buzzing from within the swaths of black robe he called his vestments.

"Botheration..." he'd mutter as he listened to the message. "It appears we are needed, Confessor."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He would soon appear at the side of the military officer assigned to the garrison the two Priests based their operations from. He cared little for his name or position, seeing as there was no way he could ever be a part of his faith due to his weakness. But he had learned long ago that artificial hierarchies superseded natural order; treating him as an equal would yield far better results than putting him in the servants' quarters where he belonged. He could already see where the man was looking, and at whom he had fired his pitifully archaic explosive device (perhaps not that archaic..if he were honest they were kind of cool, considering he pilfered one from the armory to study further), and that was all that mattered.
While two of them seemed to be moving together, the two that Alexei aimed for, the other was moving in the opposite direction. Unfortunately, the silhouette's intelligence in splitting up from its doomed teammates would not be rewarded.
He would smile under the dark hood of his robe as he brought forth a red kyber crystal tucked into his pocket, before utilizing the Force to half-throw half-push it towards the lone assailant. Though the accuracy would not be perfect, it would be close enough to (@Zenya) the skulking figure, approximately within a meter or two's worth of distance if it kept its current trajectory, that the sudden explosion of the crystail would easily pierce it with shrapnel or hit it with significant concussive force.
Battle it seemed had finally found her. Ashlyn Sera thought she'd escaped going into battle when she joined the Priesthood. It was counter-intuitive of course because the very job of the Inquisition was to seek out and kill those that betrayed their cause. But Ashlyn never took to that field of aggression. Instead, she sought to capture. With several prisoners having been given to her, under her guidance she converted them all to the Imperial cause. Ashlyn was a self-taught expert when it came to torturing and interrogating prisoners; and most surprisingly, she rarely used violence to get this done. Her methods were much more intellectual and focused on the mental aspects of torment. This is what gave her the nickname The Confessor for she could make anyone spill even their darkest secrets.
Another aspect of Ashlyn was her power and connection with the Dark. To those out in the galaxy unfamiliar to the cause, the Sith were weapons of evil; slaves to their passions and quick to hatred. Ashlyn was neither of those things. Though she did still possess fear, and anger, she didn't draw her power from those emotions. No Ashlyn believed in a higher cause, and lived that life to a T. She was a true priestess of the Dark Church. Every morning she woke and prayed to the mystical Force, she started a collection of peers to have mass with twice a day, and even bowed her head at night to say Grace. Ashlyn was a religious fanactic and her zeal gave her the power many Sith would envy. It was because of this faith that Lord Cain granted her the position of High Priestess of Tund, home of the original Inquisition.
Her duty called her to Urce. She was to defend a certain garrison from potential attack led by the Jedi. She felt the task beneath her. She was no soldier. But she was a Sith. A warrior in its own right. If there were Jedi here, she would find them. She would find them, capture them, and convert them to the true side. If it were up to the Confessor all three Jedi would end up today within her grasp. But this were not the case. She could only control where her own path would take her. Still, she was prepared for whatever would come. Upon arriving at the outpost she was already dressed for combat and only removed such when her "shift" was over and she needed to refresh. But her armor was never too far away nor out of eyesight. Though that word was more a metaphor for the Confessor was blind. As such, she had trained herself to use the Force as a way of seeing. It not only gave her back her senses, but also gave her a rather interesting advantage in battle. While most could only see what was in front of them, having to rely on their instincts to block something from behind, Ashlyn saw the world in a three dimensional perspective, seeing everything at once. It still prohibited her from reading and things of the like, or seeing things far off in the distance, but up close combat was where she excelled.
On this moonlit night the Confessor was sitting in her private quarters. She had about her a selection of weapons including: a TS-15 Pistol (x2 clips) and a J0-LT Stun Blaster (x2 clips), several grenades (Flash Grenade (x3), Thermal Grenade (x2), Smoke Grenades (x1), EMP Grenade (x1)), and two custom made sabers. Her first saber was a replica of her master's blade when she first was introduced to the Sith. When activated it would create two purple beams from the two ends giving her another advantage in battle. Her second saber was not a double-blade and only carried the one ignition. However, after she decided to upgrade her gear and become more of a threat in battle, she gave both weapons a nifty improvement to have them with duel-phasers which had come in handy on more than one occasion. All of this was strapped to different pouches/holsters on her MK 5 Inquisition Armor. Due to it lacking head coverage she added a hood to the getup which covered her head and also came down over her face to hide her blind eyes.
In her hands, as she was sitting in one of the common rooms with her fellow Sith, a small black Kyber crystal floated in her hands. It had been forged in her private quarters back on Coruscant and made of materials that already had an affinity for the Dark side. She loved having this crystal around her and would always pray with it. She poured her soul and life into it on a regular basis, something she learned from Lord Cain. Ashlyn hoped that one day, should anything happen to her, it would keep her spirit alive through the Force. Every day was a gamble for her. It wasn't commonly known, but Ashlyn had actually had her soul bound to a woman who was now known as Darth Adava, the previous Grand Inquisitor of the Sith. Due to them being bound in soul, should something happen to Adava, Ashlyn would pass too. Having this crystal was her lifeline to coming back. If that were even possible...
Inquisitors— potential incursion on the northern wall. Report there immediately.
Ashlyn jumped to her feet. She'd been praying for the past hour, sitting on her knees and reaching into the Force. She could sense the danger. A threat was here. Whether it was Jedi or not was unknown, but there was still hope. If she could capture one alive she could get the answers she needed about the rebels hidden in Urce. Ashlyn put her crystal back into a special necklace to house it then tucked it down her shirt. Doing a quick once-over of her attire she strode out of her room and made for the Northern section of the garrison. She found the general just as he fired off his shot toward three figures moving in the shade. Ashlyn couldn't physically see what he was shooting at, but she felt their life energies as they sprung up to defend themselves. They'd been hiding their auras. Of course they were hiding. Like rats in a sewer the Jedi couldn't even face them with honor.
Her Sith partner would also have joined in and threw one of his custom Kyber crystal bombs, something she was rather impressed with. She'd have to make one for herself sometime. As soon as the explosion from the generals's blast ruptured the battlements, Ashlyn would propel her first of two thermal grenades high and forward to the unaffected shadow with the Force (@Undine ). Since the small object was likewise hidden under the darkness, and the separate attacker would be momentarily distracted by the explosion, she felt confident they wouldn't be able to stop it before it could get in range.
Lanna was crouched down on her ankles behind the stone battlements, ready to spring up at any moment. She peaked out from the side of the stone wall, leaving only a fraction of her face sticking out from the block. There were shadows down below, and one in particular stepped forward. He was not force sensitive, which was a weakness she would use to her advantage. Letting a slow breath leave her lips, the irritable noise of her child initiate's god awful drone of a complaining whine met her ears, so she tuned it out.
"Karyn. Shut up, stop being rude to the cat, and get the hell down." Lanna hissed, so quiet it would have been barely audible to even the initiate she directed her words to. "Oh God damn."
Out the corner of her eye, a dark orb whizzed over to where her fellow Jedi Knight, and Karyn stood. Only a few split seconds followed before an explosion burst from behind her right side. Almost simultaneously with the sound of the blast, after she processed it, her left arm went up crossing vertically over upper body which also twisted to strengthen an invisible grip on a force shield. For extra assurance that she wouldn't go tumbling off the side of the wall, she kept her back to the stone battlement, and stretched her right leg forward to brace herself, rubber boots against the course ground. Any stray shrapnel and heat didn't have the chance to touch her.
As the explosion resounded, and faded, leaving a humming in her ears, her attention was already once again on her enemies. The next cloaked figure stepped forward, and he held a tool buzzing with force energy. The woman could sense it, and in her mind she was begging him to just let go. To her greatest satisfaction, he threw the kyber crystal, and after few moments of it leaving his hand, (so she could properly connect a strong grip on it with the force) it flew towards the middle of the courtyard before Lanna's arm reached out from above her stone shelter, and she grabbed the object with the force. Swiping her arm to the side, she sent it flying back to the non-force user, (@Deviant ) who would very likely not see it coming, as she sent it whizzing over to him in a mere second. It flew right behind him, then midair, she detonated it.
Springing forward, she jumped over the battlements, and onto the ground, using the force to break her fall. As her feet hit the courtyard floor, another two explosions rang behind her, and she had her blaster in her left hand. It was raining grenades, and Lanna did not particularly enjoy it. The woman was ready to call upon the force to create a shield whenever necessary. She figured she would close the gap. Sprinting forward, her blade ignited, and as the non-force user was occupied with her earlier attack, and the advancements of Lanna's teammates, she was open to a direct confrontation with the cloaked priest. (@Kaane ) Closing the meters between them in a matter of seconds, she swiped her saber up at him, (ahsoka style) and flicked her gun hand up to send a gust of force energy into his feet. Hopefully he would fall forward and face plant into her saber that she defensively held in a firm grip. And if he didn't, and decided to block her saber's attack, she wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger on her Sunspear blaster.
Emerald had spent years letting the poor taste of human hubris isolate her socially and psychologically from her fellow Jedi, the relentless nicknames and acts of cruelty done to her by her fellow initiates and even some of her Jedi teachers made Karyn's attempts seem rather pathetic. If truly necessary Emerald would be more then happy to give the young woman a lesson or two involving the backhand of her clawed paw, as she needed to understand that as a Knight Emerald was also her teacher, just as all Jedi Knights were responsible for teaching the next generation. In that role, Emerald was more familiar with hard love and difficult teaching methods then most of her peers, and more often than not took great enjoyment out of breaking the bad habits of her students.
Such thoughts were drowned out by the sensation of darkness rearing it's head, and Emerald turned in that direction to determine how dangerous the threat. It was a good thing she did to, because she saw at the last second an imperial commander firing some sort of weapon towards her position. Her body reacted without a second thought, and Emerald hurled herself over the ramparts and into the courtyard below, the Force lessening the impact while an explosion sounded overhead, followed by a second, larger, explosion. The two sith she had sensed were now visible, and Lanna seemed to have chosen her target leaving the woman to her as even on the cusp of knighthood, Emerald wouldn't leave an initiate to face a sith on their own.
With a single movement, Emerald adjusted the blaster rifle, (KPWD-Warden's Blaster), slung over her shoulder into her right hand and shot at the female sith three times, (@EmilyHuene), sending six particle bolts screaming their way towards their target, (6 bolts in total, three sets of 2), as she began running forward to meet the sith in combat. She'd only cross about half the distance between them before letting the rifle fall back behind her as she reached for and ignited her lightsaber, it's duel emerald blades spring to life ready to stand defiantly against the darkness of night, as well as that of the sith before her. Emerald needed this, after her defeat on Belsavis she needed to prove to herself that no sith would ever do to her what had been done on that mud covered battlefield. She had failed the people of Belsavis, she refused to fail the people of Urce as well.
Emerald jumps from the battlements, evading both grenades from @Deviant and @EmilyHuene
She begins to press forward while firing 6 particle bolts, 3 sets of 2 in rapid succession at @EmilyHuene
Moves in total 10 meters, leaving a further 10 meters between her and @EmilyHuene
Ignites her lightsaber
To only be a few years older than her, Karyn's master could be a total grumpy bitch sometimes. Anger brewed at her surface, but she set the annoyance aside due to the presences she felt washing into the area just below them. As she shifted her attention towards them she heard the telltale sound of a grenade launcher firing, and saw as the projectile whizzed towards her and Emerald. Karyn executed a quick flip, pushing off of the wall with her legs as she soared away from it. At the apex of her flight she completed her flip, and was facing down towards the Imperial General as she descended. Her lightsaber sprang to life in her right hand, as her left hand began to move downwards. With the Force she seized his blaster rifle and pulled it away from his body, so that he would either have to sacrifice it or move with the weapon.
Her feet met the permacrete of the courtyard as she finished her jump, the force softening her landing, and her knees bending with impact to absorb the shock. She kept her saber in a defensive posture throughout the jump and its subsequent landing in order to intercept anymore of the fire from his weapons, though she doubted he would be able to execute another attack at the moment with his BOOM rifle, as he would be dealing with her push. "So did you know my mom??"
ike a wraith in the night, he moves and reacts in par to the Jedi now scrambling into the courtyard. Against the backdrop of an illuminating explosion, Alexei recognizes the foremost shadow throw herself from the ramparts and land onto the ground, thus avoiding the ensuing shrapnel and engulfing flames of his explosive. As for the furthest shadow, he barely catches them burying behind the battlements, before reaching her arm with the force to counteract one of the Inquisitor’s grenades. Smart, but ultimately worthless, given that same Sith was quick to take back hold of the kyber crystal before it returned too closely, instead allowing it to explode in the middle of the courtyard, leaving none in the wake of its damage. What the General found strangest, however, was the tiny frame of the last Jedi flying into the night sky, just skirting the edge of the explosion.
He fastens his attention on this anomaly as the other two Inquisitors at his side split up to take on their respective foes, leaving more than enough space for none to interfere with the other (although the General made sure to keep the others in view in case of outside attacks). But now ten meters free of each of their rancid auras, Alexei grins as his own opponent makes their way back into the ground, likewise landing a little over ten meters from his position. However, before landing, she had simultaneously maintained a defensive posture, and with the force, yanked at his weapon with a surprising pull.
But the General knows he cannot deal with her distracting move, and just as he feels the barrel of his rifle move, he uses his hand to unclip the singular strap over his shoulder and lower right side, which had been tied to his pulse rifle so as to reduce recoil. And had he not, the Jedi would no doubt send him tumbling forward and into the ground, leaving him exposed for an attack. Alexei was smarter than that though— even if it cost him his primary weapon. Of course, no right-minded Imperial comes to a battlefield with only one gun.
As soon as he unclips the strap, and before his weapon along with it clatters into the ground in front of him, his other hand has already unholstered the J0-LT stun blaster on his left side. And just as the girl lands, he unleashes a hail of stun bolts to her upper chest and face. Perhaps that would finally shut her loose-lipped ass. Although, as Alexei fires, he clicks his heels and lets his repulsorboots guide him back seven meters. He knows that if the girl were to get anywhere within his five meter personal bubble, it would mean the end of this battle— and he has no intentions crawling back to the Emperor empty-handed. Not after Serenno.
Be his attacks as it may, if the Jedi were to attempt to divert his weapon with the force again, or throw out a sudden attack, Alexei would be quick to counteract, whether it be stabilizing his grip or throwing in another attack, and so continue vying to cripple the girl— as despicable and low as that may sound. But, hey, a Jedi’s a Jedi.
The Jedi he had pushed his overloaded crystal towards at was attentive, to say the least. Though perhaps considering his Force signature had utterly flooded the Priest's explosive of choice it'd be hard to miss. Still, it was a reminder not to underestimate any child of the Force, even those that hindered themselves so blindly with the Jedi Code. He managed to wrest control of the crystal's momentum before it reached his comrades, forcing it to explode off to the side rather than right on top of them.
However, it would seem that this Jedi was happy to take an aggressive route against Salazarrh: as the lithe warrior of light landed before him and quickly closed the distance he would already have his lightsaber, a morbid fusion of metal and bone, out and ignited in a solid, two-handed guard, ready to meet her directly on her brutish, lower level of understanding. What came next, however, was admittedly unexpected; from this close he took note that she had a blaster in her hand, seeing as she gestured with it to push at his legs in a bid to force him off balance. His lack of dueling skills left him quite unprepared for the unorthodox opening as his his stance, not nearly as grounded as it should have been, fell forward directly into the woman's awaiting strike.
Unfortunately for the Jedi, however, he was gifted at improvising in bad situations, even with limited technique and time.
His guard would hold fast as he locked with Lanna's upwards attack. Seeing as he possessed an entire foot of height over her, and was pressing with both of his arm's strength and the redirected momentum of his enemy's Force Push into a one-handed flick attack, he would force the lock back towards Lanna as he turned his body perpendicular to said lock in a successful effort to find his balance, and make his body a smaller target.
He would not end there, however; the presence of the Jedi's blaster weapon was still fresh in his mind, as he was essentially staring down its barrel. With a heave, he would push out of the lock and flick his lightsaber downwards and to his right, or the Jedi's left, towards the arm carrying the blaster. Considering he had heavily invaded her sphere of control by pushing into the lock, he would easily be in a position to cut the Jedi's arm off with the counterattack. Should she manage to pull her arm back and out of danger, he would still likely be able to sear through the blaster weapon, or block any bolt that came out of it at point blank, sending the bolt right back into the weapon itself without need for accuracy. Regardless of what occurred, he would immediately disengage and follow up with an unwieldy blast of Force lightning from his left hand, still holding his saber in his right. Along with a piece of advice for his opponent.
"Your faith is misplaced, my child."
The Jedi was quick to react. The feline-looking species ( @Undine ) jumped from the wall and avoided not just the General's attack but her own thermal grenade she'd thrown. At least now Ashlyn knew who she was dealing with: a true Jedi and not some soldier. As she landed and began to run the Jedi pulled her rifle from her back and shot at Ashlyn three times. Ashlyn ignited her duelsaber which pruduced two purple beams, then side stepped while doing a flourish with her blades. As she spun and sidestepped she deflected the first set of shots with her blade causing a small spark of light to go off as the shots evaporated against her swords. The rest of them passed by her harmlessly. She'd then pull out her TS-15 pistol and fire off a shot which consisted of three pulse bolts that would stun and likely paralyze the woman. She fired it twice, as fast as she could pull the trigger. Surely one of those bolts would hit the target as she advanced and or dodged by jumping to one side or another. All the while, she still had active her duel sabers and was ready to defend whatever tactic Emerald would swing with her own blade. She was ready to either raise the blade or spin to her right and block with the back saber if such a turn were necessary. It wouldn't matter if she couldn't see Emerald for in the dark she saw everything. There'd only be a ten meter gap to start, but however Emerald pushed forward to close the distance the Confessor would be ready for her.
Lanna's opponent ignited the blade of his light saber, just as he stumbled forward, and struck down on her blade. Her eyes widened as she began to recognize at which level he forced his bodyweight into the blow. He was much too strong for her one handed block, so it was necessary to move out of the lock. He regained his footing, and twisted to his left. He was now facing away from the next swipe of her saber.
She immediately sucked in a breath, and stepped forward to the left of her opponent, letting her body swipe beside his as she continued to hold her saber in place. As he made his next move, the swords continued to lock, because she reacted to his move at the same time. Due to the force of his push, it may have even thrown him forward. In one speedy motion, she was turned to his back, where he was wide open. Instantly, without hesitation, she fired three bullets from her heavy blaster at the back of his torso. They each went up at a left diagonal, from his right hip, to his mid back, to left shoulder.
If he attempted to step out of the bullet's path, he would have to break his saber away from hers, which would leave him open to her ability to strike down on him with her own blade. Even the likelihood of a possible dodge of the bullets was slim to nothing, suggesting how close they were. They would enter his flesh in a split second. The tiniest movement away, would be enough for her to fire off the rest of the shots in her gun.
It had taken only a moment for her opponent to maneuver passed her previous attacks, but Emerald was far from impressed it only took a few weeks of training to be able to dodge and deflect blaster fire, a child could manage it. However, doing so cost the sith time, which was the most valuable resource when it came to combat, especially between individuals such as themselves. Even though a few mere seconds had passed between the blaster bolts being fired and the child of darkness dodging them, it had been the perfect amount of time for Emerald to ignite her lightsaber and position it in a forward guard.
The first round of triple bolts had been easy enough to simply evade but the second round had forced her hand. Emerald managed to catch one bolt with her lightsaber, another flying just past her left shoulder. The third however, managed to sneak itself inside her guard, grazing the skin below the right shoulder just deep enough to leave a scorch mark. Emerald knew she'd been hit, if only barely, and she knew it was nothing serious, but what worried her was the lack of pain. Her wounds from Belsavis had healed, at least as much as they ever would, but the amount of nerve damage that sith had caused with his accursed lightning still managed to surprise her. The current flesh wound had nothing on the scars months in the making the Horansi wore proudly.
Without even flinching, Emerald didn't even hesitate to look over the seared flesh and fur, she rushed towards the sith (@EmilyHuene), deactivating one end of her lightsaber as she produced her elctro-whip. The three meter long metal cord jolted alive with electricity as Emerald ignited it mid swing. Emerald held the whip overhead, keeping her lightsaber low to guard her body from attack as she allowed the exotic weapon to build up momentum as she got close enough to strike the sith. The space around Emerald was aglow with light flying around her, though it was doubtful this would prove disorienting for the sith.
The first strike would come quickly enough, targeted at her feet, either the whip would wrap itself around the sith's ankles, forcing them together as they were bound or the woman had managed to block the weapon, which would likely leave her at least one blade down as the whip wrapped itself around the blade instead. If the woman did manage to block it's like likely turn into a contest of strength to see which of them would keep their respective weapons in hand, if not, Emerald would drag the witch towards her, as she'd only need to do so for a few feet before she'd be within striking distance of her lightsaber. On the off chance the woman managed to evade the strike altogether, Emerald could always continue the momentum into a second strike.
1. Emerald evades the first round of blaster fire, which leaves her open to the second and results in a minor flesh wound on ther right shoulder.
2. Emerald keeps moving closer to Ashlyn, @EmilyHuene, as she pulls her electro whip from inside her robes.
3. She deactivates one of the blades of her lightsaber as she activates the whip before spinning the whip overhead to build up moment.
4. Finally within 3 meters of her target, Emerald attacks Ashlyn with the electro-whip, attempting to strike her feet/ankles or force Ashlyn to block with one of her lightsabers.
As the force pull began to tug at the Imperial's rifle Karyn activated her helmet sound system, and started pumping some sick-ass grooves to fight to. The General was smart, choosing to sacrifice his rifle rather than to go with it. While he unfastened the strap and allowed the rifle to fly free, and drew his pistol, Karyn leapt forward, closing 4 of the 10 meters that she'd left between them. As her feet met the ground she saw her opponent fire off 6 stun rounds. Her already ignited lightsaber sprang forward, weaving a delicate pattern through the air intercepting each of them. Karyn's anger flared once more at how rude the man was being. She'd asked him ONE fekking quiestion and here he was shooting at her instead. Didn't he know that she wasn't trying to kill him? She just wanted to put him in a room where he couldn't get away and ask questions about her mom.
Luckily due to her recent... research regarding male anatomy she knew that he wouldn't need his limbs or... other parts.. to answer her questions. Really he should just put down his guns and answer her questions. She might even pay him if he was nice! Growling she began to leap forward, her hand flicking once more, this time her mind's eye focused on the pistol in his hand, ripping it in the same direction that she had his earlier rifle. Hopefully she could disarm him of yet another one of his armaments as she closed their distance to 8 meters now. "Look, asshat, I asked you a question. Did you know my mom?? She was smoking hot, and a badass bitch, and she burned that world everyone is fighting over—errr Ithor! I have questions!" As she spoke she was wary of his possible rudeness—preparing herself to leap into action should he attempt to assail her rather than answer her questions yet again.
urprise tugs at his lips. Disappointment flickers through his glare. As Alexei watches the younger Jedi effortlessly intercept each every stun bolt he loosed from his weapon, impatience begins to gnaw on his insides. Not fear, however. Not dread. In his mind, he is composed, as any soldier, regardless of her foray— because, he still had another trick up his sleeve, one this Jedi could not so easily catch with her little glowstick. So, letting her trickle ever closer as he continues firing, despite the risks of melee, a smile starts to take root beneath the tinted guise of his visor.
Be that as it may, he feels the force tug at his stun gun, and in spite of his stabilized grip, the weapon slips out from his fingers and clatters into the ground just below him. He simulates a loud curse, letting his other hand fall back to his side. Shoulders slumped low and forward in a defensive posture, he sets his eyes on the young Jedi now eight meters before him. Gaze burning, Alexei listens to her waft through some witless lecture.
Look, asshat,” she says, her voice clearly replete with youthful naiveté, as well as a hint of apparent dementia. “I asked you a question. Did you know my mom?? She was smoking hot, and a badass bitch, and she burned that world everyone is fighting over, errr—
The General gives her no time to finish her sentence, for with his other right hand, which had been free for use for the entirety of her advance, he had his hand set on a detonator, integrated to the remote thermal grenades that were attached to a single strap once over his lower right side (and to his left shoulder, like any singular strap), which he had coincidentally unclipped when the Jedi had pulled on his rifle (per, “the single” strap, mentioned previously). Given the mere second that she could recognize the situation she had literally just walked into, there was no doubt she’d be caught in the ensuing rupture.
Of course, knowing all Jedi, the girl would no doubt have made an attempt to escape the fleeting second of his attack, reaching perhaps the edge of the explosive range to avoid from instantly dying. Although, no matter how nimble or rapid her response, there’d be without a doubt she’d be knocked out cold from the battle, for lack of a better term, hot.
However, it wasn't like he'd stop to take a breath once she was presumably KO'd or dead, because knowing the other Sith were still tight in their own personal battles, he'd be quick to come to their aid. Crouching low, and at the aid of his repulsorboots, he scoops up his stun gun and slides slightly ahead to get a good view of one of the other Jedi (@Undine).
Once she was clear in view, he'd be quick to finish out the remainder of his stun gun. As she would be undoubtedly too busy with the Sith, he likewise held little doubt she would cave in to his flanking attacks. If not, then he'd be more than ready to cease his attack, for example, if she makes an attempt to exploit his shots into her own favor (or if Ms. lil' Jedi comes hulking out from the potentially unstoppable explosion).
Time seemed to slow for Ashlyn as she felt the Jedi deactivate one end of her saber. While it didn't actually slow down, her body was pumping with so much adrenaline it felt that way to her. She knew something was up and in turn the Jedi lifted an electrowhip into her hands and began to spin it for momentum. The chain was aglow with beautiful light, but to the blind Sith it meant nothing. Sensing that she'd drawn up a new weapon she would unequip her pistol by placing it into the holster on her hip then raising her hand right after. The Confessor would turn and flourish her blades in a spin to switch hands and use her dominant hand to manipulate Emerald's whip as she brought it around herself. The activated chain would curl inwards at Ashlyn's direction and bind itself around her arm and upper torso. Sure enough this would give Ashlyn the stunning affect she'd been hoping for and cause the Jedi to stumble.
But she didn't wait to find out what would happen as she jumped back to gain more distance between them, doing a flip as she propelled herself. Upon landing she held her saber at a readying defensive stance and prepared for the next attack. Ashlyn moved her dominant hand behind her back for a trick of her own as she listened to the Force instruct her on the next move.
She then heard it before she felt it, the stun bolts from one of her compatriots. Ashlyn was so focused on the battle herself she didn't even realize her partner had finished his own battle and come to join hers. Whatever. Now it would be even easier to capture the Jedi. Plus with the knock out bolts the girl was sure to fall.
Lanna felt her blood thin as the bullets seemed to leave her firearm in slow motion. One missed, and two embedded their way into the back of his left side, likely destroying a kidney, or possibly worse. Approaching a lung. Anyhow, as soon as he went down, the woman caught ear of an unsatisfied groan. As the other people around her were occupied with their own battles, she bent down and snatched his coat, yanking it up, over his face and chest as an attempt to hide the man, and his short breaths. She was too cowardly to finish the job. He would surely bleed out, anyway.
"If you don't want to end you right here and now, shut your mouth, and don't move."
He made no action to detest the situation, so she clipped her gun to her belt and, grabbed his saber. Scrambling to her feet, she threw it as hard as she could, over the wall of the garrison. Where it landed, she did not know, and she did not particularly care. She didn't want it.
"This is the last time I spare a Sith. Enjoy your next few minutes to yourself, then."
With that, she left him. The exchange only lasted a few long seconds, which would have barely been enough for her other opponents to stop and take notice of her, or what she had done. Narrowing her eyes, she had just seen an explosion sound off right next to her initiate. Cursing under her breath, she planted her feet in the ground, and snatched an EMP grenade from her belt. The non force user was giving the Karyn a run for her money. As soon as the damage had been dealt to Karyn, the man seemed focused on Lanna's fellow Jedi Knight. She sprinted to the General, and priestess to gain a position between the two, (running behind Emerald) while simultaneously pushing the grenade towards the general, saber in her right hand. Once she stood between the two, and to the right of Emerald, (In an upside down triangle shape, Dev and Em are the top two corners, and Lanna's the bottom, a few meters away from each other) She detonated the grenade mid air beside the General.
After the approach, her plan was to rest her focus on the priestess, as Emerald continued to deal with the General's attacks. Her saber was raised defensively to block off any bullets that could be shot her direction. She breathed heavily, keeping her initiate off her mind.
Emerald had made a point not to underestimate her opponent as she had done on Belsavis, and as the sith sorceress reached out, grasping at the wire hidden within the electrical current of the Jedi's own electro-whip, Emerald immediately released the activation button on the weapon's handle, causing the current of painful energy to break and dissipate as the wire came recoiling back into the handle of the whip before it could cause any harm to the Horansi herself. A clever sorceress indeed, but Emerald doubt she could replicate that level of concentration twice as she nearly moved to repeat her previous plan of attack. Instead, her attention was drawn to the explosion and the ensuing bolts of energy flying through the air towards her.
Emerald pushed forward and to the side, first with an arching leap, dodging the first stun bolt as well as the second one that came following behind it as she ignited the second blade of her lightsaber behind her. She wasn't about to leave herself open to sith lightning, not after the last time. The man who appeared to be an imperial general had become her new target, as much of a brat as Karyn had been, Emerald wouldn't let an initiate fall without consequences. She leapt forward and kept her saber at the ready to intercept any more shots as Councilor Singh moved in her direction. She was aiming some sort of grenade at the general, her own form of retribution no doubt but Emerald wouldn't let him get off that easy. Emerald landed into sidestep roughly 5 meters from her new adversary, twirling on her heel and moving just out of the reach of the blast of the EMP detonation.
Once Emerald had cleared the blast, her own counter attacks came swiftly as she skirted forward, using the Force to enhance her speed even over this short of a distance. Igniting her electro-whip in one hand, not even swinging it around as she had done previously, instead letting the initial spring of the ignition to be her momentum as she lashed out at his arm that had been holding his stun blaster. Her intention was to impede his movement as she swung her lightsaber towards his head with her other hand. If the whip managed to catch hold of him, her lightsaber would end his pathetic life. Though Emerald could only guess at how he'd lived his life, either way he was her enemy, she had him in a tight spot, and she wasn't going to let him go without a fight.
