The Battle for Coruscant- Monument for a God

Historical Information: Located at the iconic coordinates (0,0,0), Coruscant is the political, social, economic, and militant capital of the Republic and the galaxy at large. Home to over 1,000,000,000,000 permanent residents and countless additional travelers from every corner of the known universe, it is very commonly said “he who owns Coruscant owns the galaxy”. For too long the Republic has ruled the galaxy- it is time for the Empire to take what is theirs.

Situation: Realizing the war he had committed his Empire to could drag on for decades (and nowhere near ready to wait so long for his prize), Emperor Tusa Ujalli Hai captured Yag’Dhul late in the First Hutt War. While tactically important in the scheme of hyperspace routes, the devious Hutt had another plan- using the natural mathematic inclination of the Givin, he would develop an extragalactic hyperspace route out of the galactic disk near Yag’Dhul and emerge back into the galactic disk in the deep core. From there, his armies would navigate in a surprise raid on the capital. The effort took five years and billions of credits, resulting in a short-lived route that would soon be eliminated by a black hole. The Emperor had to move fast- all of his best fleets began pooling around Yag’Dhul. Soon, the Emperor could claim his throne.

Mission Objectives: In a show of power, gain control of Monument Plaza.
Expectations: While not a high value military target, it is likely RAF will be present along with potential Jedi support. Take no prisoners.

Note: Please allow the Hutts to enter fully before responding. Afterwards, we'll establish a posting order. This is an attempt at NO BITCHING- we'll have OOC threads for clarifications, but I don't want arguing.

The monument Plaza was a large, open court that was prime for blaster fire and force powers alike. Sabers and blades will likely play a role here, but energy will win the day in the end. Bat glanced down at his 2 blasters on his hip, and patted his pack on his belt, feeling the assorted EMP and Thermal Detonators he had packed for the battle to come. peering through his electrobinoculars, he scanned the open plaza and saw little to no activity of lifeforms. They surely knew they were coming, but the level of preparation was unsettling.

Sprawled out on his belly in a prone position, Bat stood up and walked back to the encampment where his comrads had been stations and watched as his allies get ready for their siege on the Plaza. They all knew the mission. Although this wasn't a major strategic victory, it was certainly a moral crusher, and an intimidation factor. Not to mention it was an omen of what was going on inside the Temple.

Remove the pawns, and the King and Queen are ripe for the taking."

Batvan uttered to himself over and over again in his mind as he watched, eyes glazed over at the Sacred Temple destined to fall before his very eyes. He envisioned the obelisks toppling over one by one, the center Spire becoming engulfed in flames before eventually collapsing in on itself. And finally, the foundation itself crumbling below the might of the Bogan and the Hutts alike. He was nearly salivating at the idea, and turned towards his allies to wait for their assessments.
