A light drizzle hit the tin roof of the small home on Yavin Four. The calming sound helped ease the laboring mother’s worries. She took a deep breath, grunted painfully and occasionally screamed. This would be her seventh and final child. Pushing out babies became easier and easier, and the seventh time was more a relief than a pain.
After several hours of pushing, a baby girl was born. Like usual, this child was to be placed in someone else’s care. The mother was a surrogate and indefinitely poor. The newborn baby was immediately given up and taken off world. Or should I say, off moon.
The baby girl was given a name, Tessa, to be exact. Her father was a bounty hunter and smuggler and his baby girl was going to grow up to be his partner in crime. Or so he thought. As he approached the Core Worlds, he began to veer off slightly to make a quick pick up of spice. Little did he know, that would be his last.
The bounty hunter landed nonchalantly. He’d done this a thousand times already, it would be quite simple. Just jump in, give the guy some cash, and he’d be gone. However, this wasn’t the case. A nice set up was created and he fell for it. The bounty hunter was sentenced to fifty years of jail time for the destruction of property, illicit buying and trading, and the murder of a Senator. The Jedi who apprehended him then went to check his ship.
The Nautolan Jedi found the untimely babe. Her first day was ultimately traumatic, but it wasn’t anything she’d remember. Now in the custody of a Jedi, he could sense that she was a Force-sensitive. He had her flown to the Coruscant Jedi Academy. The baby would be cared for by the Jedi until she became a toddler, in which case she would be sorted into a Clan and begin learning about Jedi.
After examining her Force proficiency, she was placed in a group with slightly older kids, aged around 5. The group began to learn their basic schooling, such as learning the Jedi Code and political studies in the morning, followed by a physical education class to begin to hone their bodies into Jedi, then onto their meditation with a larger history lesson of important Jedi.
This continued for quite some time until the young girl reached the tender age of six. That was when she could truly learn discipline and the ways of the Force. She was no longer a toddler or infant; her brain had developed enough to where she could learn right from wrong as well as basic Force applications. As a member of the Woodoo group of Jedi Initiates, she still had much to learn. However, as she progressed on into the years, she became a Ronto member.
At the age of eight, her maturity levels had grown. Her personality was becoming more and more like a Jedi. While still timid and frightened, the girl began to show less emotion and kept her judgment clear. She was taken to train in the ways of the Lightsaber, for she would need it to progress efficiently. The girl picked up on the basics of Ataru to go along with her basic Force training. With any luck, she could become a skilled combatant.
She hit ten. One decade. It was a reason for celebration, because she had made it to the Bantha group. As a member of the Bantha group, her training regimen got harsher and more brutal. Hormones could spell trouble for many of the growing initiates, especially when they’re pushed to their limits. The regimen would allow little time for complaining however, because she didn’t have long before she’d have to become a Padawan.
Tessa hit 11. It was ultimately time for her to go through the Jedi Initiates Test. She was the seventh to go of her group. A symbolic number, mostly because of her birthday. Her words rang clear as she recited the Jedi Code.
Jedi are the guardians of peace in the galaxy.
Jedi use their powers to defend and to protect.
Jedi respect all life, in any form.
Jedi serve others rather than ruling over them, for the good of the galaxy.
Jedi seek to improve themselves through knowledge and training.
The girl didn’t stop with Luke Skywalker’s teachings, however. No, she continued on with a greater measure, going back to show that she knew even more about the past, much to the applause of the Jedi surrounding her.
There is no emotion, there is peace.
There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.
There is no passion, there is serenity.
(There is no chaos, there is harmony.)
There is no death, there is the Force.
The second test comprised of Discipline. The young girl was content with meditating. She levitated lightly off the ground as she honed her mental capabilities, her hair billowing lightly. She was close to graduating… However, a few of her older Clan members didn’t want to see that happen. They released around five remotes around the gymnasium, each firing for the young girl.
The surrounding Jedi began to grab for their Lightsabers, however the blonde raised a hand to silence and stop them. Instead, she held out a hand, the practice lightsaber rack rattled. A saberstaff flew into her hands. The young female propelled herself with a fierce velocity, elegantly slicing one in half. The girl twirled the staff around; having deflected a blast as she calmly propelled her assaulter into a wall with a Force Push. She finished off the last one with a quick cleave.
More clapping. The jealous Padawans stared angrily at her, but their stares were only met with a face with no expression other than pity.
While she couldn’t perform the last task, she did have a police officer come in to tell the group on how she assisted in the judicial case of capturing a smuggler red-handed. This led to her promotion to Padawan.
A few days after she graduated, Tessa came into contact with a Jedi Knight. This Knight watched as Tessa trained vigorously and fluently and even gave a few pointers. In the end, the Padawan joined with the Knight and her band of Padawans to go off and train.
Not that far into training with her master, Tessa, Lamia, and Matsu were called in for a mission. It was simple; to retrieve a holocron from a tomb. Little did they know that a Sith Alchemist wanted it as well. The group went inside and saw a an abomination: A Sithspawn. The group battled with it fiercely; Matsu only using the Force for the most part. Lamia was a Sith pureblood and was using an ancient Sith artifact to fight with. It released dark energies, which worried Tessa deeply. In the end, the bridge the group was battling on broke thanks to Matsu. The sithspawn fell downward. Unfortunately, it survived. After all the rubble was clear, the group left with the holocron. Tessa would be the first to use it.
Soon, Tessa learned that the holocron was full of medical mysteries, which taught her how to use meditation to focus energy to induce intensive healing on her team members. Whilst she is a novice at it, she plans to take it much farther. In the end, she made a copy of it,"
Shortly after, the young Padawan sought out the Battlemaster Augustus of the Jedi. Or that is, the Battlemaster before he left. There, she learned intensive Ataru-styled, saberstaff combat. She even scored a few hits on the man, thanks to her usage of Force powers. With his teachings, she advanced considerably, though not as much as she had hoped. (Thread ended, unfinished, due to changes in Jedi parliament.)
After her training with Battlemaster Augustus, the girl approached her Master who had recently received a promotion. The two sparred using saberstaffs. Tessa had been training with the saberstaff for years, whilst Matsu had been for maybe a few weeks or a month or two. Tessa outclassed her Master when it came to using the staff. After the two finished their spar, the padawan being declared the winner, the duo went out to Ilum for Tessa's birthday.
As they arrived, the duo found their way through the freezing tundra to the Crystal Cave. There, she received a golden crystal from her master to add into her lightsaber. In the end, the girl made a green saberstaff, with the golden colored crystal in the middle for an added bonus. This was to signify that she would be following the path of the Consulars to assist in Force study. Now that she was twelve and had been a Padawan for a year, she decided it was time to kick up her training a level or two.
Shortly after, she was taken to Empress Teta to study the usage of the environment in combat. Through the aid of Matsu, she found herself capable of using plants to a basic degree and making them grow. Further study would indicate that she could use them for easier tasks. The girl also became able to tame a variety of less lethal animals to use to her advantage.
Shortly after, Tessa went to Cerea to find a kasha crystal to aid in her meditation. The crew and other Padawans had been chatterboxes of late and she had less concentration. The kasha crystal she found and etched would allow for easier and more in depth meditation time, without all of the distractions. She also purchased an Aryx, which she leaves on Empress Teta.
She then attended a small Lore lesson with her Master, Matsu and began to talk about how to block one's thoughts and how to speak through the mind. After much talking, the two decided to go to Naboo after the lesson was done.
However, they didn't stop at Naboo first. They attended a diplomatic meeting, which, by Tessa's standards, didn't go too well. Whilst Tessa did her best to remain modest, the others seemed to throw the Jedi's girth around, her Master implying they needed assistance. It was mildly nerve racking, and sure she did her fair share of rudeness, but the girl hoped she hadn't been too offensive. This was the first time pressure really got to her. Hopefully, it didn't end any potential alliance. Luckily, the girl learned from this experience and met a knew Padawan, Arek, along with a Field Marshal and Sindri.
Shortly afterwards, Tessa was called on a joint mission with the Imperial Knights. Accompanying a number of them, several other Jedi went along with them. There, the group fought monstrosities and made their way into the deep forest. The six Force Users then fought against the creature's leader and killed it, but not before it let forth an extreme attack. Tessa used a mass of plants to form an enormous structure to defend herself and a wounded Padawan. However, there was one great casualty: One of the Jedi nearly died. He was saved, however.

After years of self inflicted study after Matsu and the majority of her Padawan classmates "defection" to the Imperial Knights, Tessa took her training to a completely new level. She honed her lightsaber style, going from only using a saberstaff in Ataru to being able to use a single saber as well. Her Force proficiency greatly increased, the diplomatic woman moving freely and using the Force to the best of her abilities. She's also learned to pilot a ship, going as far to buy one for space combat missions against the Sith.
She is now returning from her own unique study with the title of Knight, ready to assist the Jedi in their onslaught against the Sith.
