History
Doubt, few are free of it's grasp, many are slaves to it. Conflict is doubt driven to action. To maintain order doubt must be extinguished both in the individual and in society before such a tipping point can occur. The galaxy is full of those who think so highly of conquest they forget that peace cannot be achieved while doubt creeps into the hearts of those that serve them. Rebellions do not form where there is no hope to drive them onward, opportunists will not turn against those they fear.

Through fear, death, and diplomacy Terris removes doubt from those that dare question her masters. Her drive to maintain order has made her a useful asset on planets that are already under Sith control and those that soon will be. Her loyalty is seemingly unquestionable but her methods have become increasingly suspect to scrutiny as time passes.

Records of Terris would tell you the tale of an aspiring special forces operative skilled in sabotage, a duelist who was the envy of her peers, and a leader who inspired those who followed her.

Those same records would tell you how Terris is no longer held in such high regard. How it was that, on a jungle moon Terris was the soul survivor of an incomplete mission. Her statement therein of the events that transpired would be deemed unsubstantiated. The remains of her squad were never located and the wounds Terris suffered there seemed to transcend the physical.

On the pages of her account it was noted that key details were missing. She professed that there had been a spy amongst them, someone who had not only killed every member of her squad but miraculously left her as the only survivor. To further compound the issue Terris insisted that she did not know who had committed the betrayal, an unlikely story given that she allegedly admitted to watching the bodies of nearly all her comrades become consumed by the local fauna.

However, Terris was a valuable asset, her dedication to the cause had never come into question before and higher ups were willing to overlook such discrepancies so long as she could be of use. Terris assisted in the ongoing investigation as to what had occurred but remained reserved and some would say uncooperative.

Terris had not come out of the event unscathed, adding further complications to a case that had aroused suspicion ever since her return. Her eyes, face, and much of her exposed skin had been, according to her own account, and confirmed by medical personnel, devoured by a species of insect native to the moon.

Terris was not the same person that had set foot into that jungle. Blind, alone, and feeling as though no one could be trusted Terris became ever more reclusive during her recovery. Though she could not see them she could feel her superiors and colleagues, their doubt, their judgement of her disfigured form. Once, she had held an aura of such pride that many could not help but respect her, but now without lips to speak and eyes to guide, who would listen were she to command, and who would follow a leader that could not see.

Prosthetics and failed attempts at bringing back her sight increasingly compounded Terris's ever growing distress and feelings of inadequacy. Nothing could give her lips the dexterity they had once had, no false face no matter how detailed could bring back the sensations that she longed for, and most important of all, nothing could seem to deliver her from the darkness that had replaced her vision. Constant failure to replicate the things which she had taken for granted for so long drove her to the brink of madness.

Desperate and on the verge of self destruction Terris ventured to Dathomir. Rumors of what transpired there have been spoken in hushed whispers by those who have crossed paths with Terris ever since. Some claim that a pact was made there with powers long since thought to be myth, others say that it was knowledge contained in a Sith Holocron uncovered by Terris that granted her her sight. No matter the truth, Terris did return, forever changed once more, where only empty sockets had remained, now buried in her face were three crystals of green hue. Two in place of her eyes, and one above them imbedded in her skull. Terris had her sight once again, but at a cost.

It would be sometime before Terris would return to serve her masters, and never would she regain the prowess and fluidity in combat that had come easily to her in her youth. Terris could see now, but only in mottled grays, shadows, and deceptive reflections. Never again would she be the ideal candidate for the fast paced infiltration missions she had been accustomed to, instead her superiors assigned her a new role, one that suited Terris's strengths. The Sith's grip on the galaxy could not be maintained if uprisings, spy networks, and overzealous commanders were allowed to weaken it. Terris's experience with bringing down cities and individuals through sabotage made her a prime candidate to prevent those same things from happening to the burgeoning Sith Empire.

For a time Terris excelled at her new duties. Proving to be adept at sensing plots to overthrow Sith affiliates, politicians, and military personnel. Several rebel cells, shady mercenary groups, and rogue Sith were wiped out all due to Terris's involvement. Yet still something was off, a geonocian diplomat was assassinated shortly after her departure from a planet, an incident that seemingly could have been prevented. Civilian casualties were, on occasion, incredibly high and lesser ranking members who looked too deep into such matters were met with an untimely end or redeployment. The Syndicate has long suspected that Terris is responsible for the death of several crime lords that were conducting business sanctioned by the Sith themselves, however they lack concrete evidence of her involvement.

The Jedi have been largely spared from Terris's wrath. By their nature her dealings tend to be far away from the front lines. However a certain Jedi Knight earned Terris's ire after ending the life of a close confidant. As recompense Terris captured the Knight's Padawan and killed her. Whether out of spite or perhaps admiration and jealousy Terris did the unthinkable and stole the Padawan's face to make it her own, having it surgically attached to replace her prosthetic skin, a decision she appears to lament.

Only recently has Terris come into contact with the Mandalorians in the form or renegades with former ties to House Vizsla. Their ruthless and relentless attacks on an ancient stronghold that once belonged to their clan but fell into the hands of the Sith made her regret ever trying to hold on to the position. Rather than allowing the Mandalorians their prize she decided to collapse the structure, burying many of her own forces and Mandalorians alive.

After the Sith schism which saw the faction torn in two Terris further isolated herself from those that knew her. Seemingly undeclared for either side there have been reports of her aiding in activities that benefit the Sith as a whole.

Although meticulously grafted to the underlying ligaments of Terris's flesh, the Jedi's face proved to retain some rigidity once the healing process was completed. Those that have met Terris would describe her expressions to be flat and off putting, many would even go on to say that she is uncaring and unresponsive leading to undeserved resentments. However in many cases this may not be true, Terris is simply unable to convey her emotions properly, her face seemingly too static or falsely manipulated due to the effort to manifest something such as a scowl. This problem is further compounded by Terris's inability to see the faces of others with clarity, leading her to act conservatively with facial movements so as to not accidentally offend those she talks to.

The gruesome details behind Terris's grafted skin are not immediately apparent but faint surgical lines remain wherever her flesh was torn away including her neck and a small portion of her forearms where her gloves ended and bracers began.

A symbol reminiscent of an abstract white lotus adorns the chestplate of Terris's armor one that reappears in several places across her person including square shaped brass beads that hang on a necklace around her neck. If pressed she would state that they are a symbol of the noble house that her family once served and that the ancient armor was used to drive back Mandalorian invaders generations ago. No such records of these events can be found, however both the armor's age and the presence of Mandalorian war bands within that sector in ages past do lend her tale some credibility. A new symbol, that of the Sith empire has been added to both her pauldrons, cast in a silver metal, they stand in stark contrast to the armor and help her allies identify her in battle.

Unlike most of Terris's possessions her heavy armor is kept in a state of partial disrepair. Structurally it has been reinforced, welded after every engagement that ever resulted in damage. However many blaster burns and pits that have since been filled with dura steel welds remain, serving to remind her of past mistakes and to remind others that she is still a formidable force on the battlefield.

Charms of unknown origin dangle from a faded cloth belt at her waist along with her saber, they are the claws, fangs, and spines of several races, recognizable by few but disturbing to those who know that they were not mere beasts.

Terris's external ear structures were devoured and she now relies on internal hearing implants to make up for the hearing loss incurred. A headdress bearing the same symbol of her armor often hides her long raven black hair along with her lack of ears.

Dark ichor leaks from Terris's eye sockets, wounds that will not heal for they are not allowed to. This fluid often trails down her pallid face smelling of ash and putrescence. Nestled in place of her eyes are two crystals, cradled in a mesh of wire that is largely hidden within the sockets themselves they glow an ethereal green. Above them embedded in the flesh of her forehead sits a smaller crystal that emanates the same unnatural light. A veil often covers the upper portion of her face for Terris still feels ashamed of her appearance.

Although rarely ever seen Terris does have several tattoos across her body, ringed around her arms, legs, and across the middle of her chest are several runic markings thought to be Dathomiric in origin.

With all other aspects of her life falling into chaos, Terris seeks to maintain order in anything she can gain control of. Since the incident Terris's obsession with chasing flaws has seeped into her personal life so severely that several of her most recent operations are under pending investigations, and even mundane tasks preformed by her or those around her have to be carried out in a very specific fashion least she become irritable. Her quarters have been stripped of everything save for a hanging bed and resting place for her armor, in stark contrast to the many charts, data tabs, and holotapes that once filled her living space. New lights were installed that are nearly blinding to all who have natural sight, only with the aid of these bright florescent bulbs can Terris see the finer details on faces and objects that are otherwise obscured. No dust is allowed to rest anywhere in the room and she despises anything that could be deemed filthy, her medical bot spends most of it's day methodically cleaning the already spotless living space.

The outgoing and commanding presence that Terris once embodied has died, she has become a recluse, rarely appearing unless called upon. Mistrust has seeped into her thoughts. Unable to properly gauge how people are interacting with her she frequently worries that they may have other intentions and could be purposely trying to make her look foolish or incapable of leadership positions that at one time seemed to be undeniably hers through the merits of her deeds. This paranoia has manifested itself in dangerous, often xenophobic tendencies. Both pareidolia and psychosis playing a large role in twisting Terris's thoughts against any species other than humans, those displaying insect-like traits will quickly find themselves at odds with Terris regardless of their faction or intentions. Even those with a human appearance may face undeserved malice due to Terris's obscured judgment.
