DLX CAMPSITE ALPHA, JEDI TEMPLE
(open to any and all Jedi)
Drast would be pushing Lani along in a hoverchair, a few days before she was actually released just to help her get some fresh air. The days had passed since their last meeting and he had sent a comm out to Xi to fill her in. So, here he was, pushing a zeltron on a hoverchair through the dense jungle towards their not so hidden, secret base. "Alright, so I let Xi know and I told her to meet us there. I may have well... let word slip to others. Hopefully more of our friends show up. If not.. it'll be nice to hang out with you both again. It's been a struggle lately." he would confess to the Zeltron.

As they walked, he'd let his emotions amp her up for the meeting by letting her feel his genuine joy and excitement and she would even notice some of the old Drast bleeding through. He was humming some chant or other and his hair was back to being maintained as well as the facial hair and just the overall appearance. Thankfully, it was a hoverchair so she could just slip over anything that could potentially catch the chair or trip it up. Unfortunately, Drast couldn't see his feet too well so once or twice he would stumble and cling to her chair to keep him steady. The second time he would just let out an embarrassed laugh before they finally reached their destination.

"Okay, Lani... here we are. I tried to keep it the same, though I have a cot here now." he'd say.

It was a bad-bad-bad idea. Why had she let Drast talk her into it? A few more days at the medical ward wouldn't have killed her. And yet there Galania was: sitting in a hoverchair, wearing light-brown tunic and pants, with her indigo hair bob-cut to shoulder length.

It was her first time in the jungle of Yavin IV... Ever since her big screwup. Despite the terrific weather, blue sky, and fresh air, Lani's thoughts still dwelled on the memories less pleasant. Drastus had brought her to the same place that they had claimed like eternity ago.

But it wasn't the same. For starters, there used to be a shuttle parked there. The shuttle that had been shot down and left to rust during Lani's and Xiann's unauthorized "field trip" to Ajan Kloss. Wait, more people would show up? Karkin' great. The idea of being seated in a hoverchair, surrounded by others, and explaining what had transpired didn't appeal to Galania. The young Zeltron did manage to hold a faint smile on her face; mostly to encourage Drast, who clearly needed it more.

"Thanks, Drast," she replied, turning her head towards him. Keep the smile up, keep the smile up, don't be the "grumpy Lani", you can do this for a few hours.

She seemed to think she could hide everything from Drast. He wasn't blind, nor foolish. He knew she could walk around and whatnot, the chair was moreso to keep her from exhausting herself. He had thought about the shuttle, about the fact that both speeders were now gone, though the remains of his were steadily being worked on. What he did forget to cover, however, was his armor and the extensive burn marks and blast marks that had scorched and damaged it. He at least had the sense to clean the blood from it.

Pushing her around to the open area, she'd see a table set up with a fancier chair, one with her name on the back of it. He'd even decorated the spot a bit with lights and some swirly banners, nothing over the top, but enough to show the effort of trying. "I figured we could stow this hunk of crap in the garage until afterwards. And.. if anyone asks you about.. ya know, I'll kick their ass, yeah?" he offered a smile as she looked back at him. "And if it's too much in the way of people that actually show up, I can kick people out. That's not a problem for me."

He'd push her all the way to the fancier chair. "Alrighty.. Want me to help you.. or did you want to try yourself?" he asked. He knew she was well on the mend, that mainly now it was just her spirit that was injured, but that didn't mean he wasn't worried. A lot of things had been left unsaid for a very long time and the young man had been left to filter through those thoughts alone for much of it.

Drast's remarks came out of the blue, and his shrewdness was nothing if not uncanny. It was as if he had caught on what was going on in Lani's head and replied to the concerns unasked. It even drew Lani's attention away from the armor that clearly had been through worse than the Zeltron.

And yet he still took the time and effort to prep some space for her and even decorate it. For the first time, there was a spark of authenticity in Lani's smile... That is, until Drast changed the topic to the gloomier one. "It's ok," the Zeltron's purple palms gripped the armrests as she lifted herself from the hover chair, trying to keep her balance as the repulsors adjusted for the change of mass distribution. A couple of steps, and the Zeltron landed in the other seat. The one with her name on it.

For a moment, Galania closed her eyes, feeling the warmth of the sun on her skin, and the air of the jungle in her lungs. For all the hardships and struggles that the Jedi had gone through, Yavin IV still felt good, teeming with life and hope. But for how long would it last? "You've got something on your mind, Drastus," Galania finally caught on to what was making her feel a little uneasy.

Xiann leisurely headed toward the group's little spot out in the forest. She had left the temple early to take a long walk around the surrounding woodland before the time Drastus had told her to meet up with him. The Twi’lek checked her datapad to check the time to see she was running a little late, but she was close by now anyway no need to rick tearing her robe by running.

She reached into the basket on her arm holding the fruit and berries she’d picked on her walk and pulled out a soft fruit. She rounded the corner of the building to see both Drast and Lani out front in the sun, “There is always something on his mind when you’re around Lani. You know that.” She grinned as she threw the fruit at Drast, “I brought some snacks. Fresh as they get.” She sat on the ground near the pair and placed the basket in the middle of them, “Dig in.”

He saw that glimmer and she could feel his mood rise just a bit more. And even though it was fleeting, it was all he needed. She was in there, somewhere, and he would scale that new mountain of emotional hell to try to dig her out. As she moved, he hovered, one hand above her lower back, just in case she fell. He couldn't help it. Months of feeling useless about her condition and he could finally do something, anything to help.

Once she was seated, he would withdraw a step or two. Busted. Just like he knew her, she knew him and that hand reached up to scratch his chin as he mulled over her perception. "Yeah.. but uhh.."

“There is always something on his mind when you’re around Lani. You know that."

Oh.. Xiann. Saved by the Twi. Such subltely, such grace. He smiled when he heard her voice as it had been awhile, unfortunately due to his own withdrawal. That smile would turn to a smirk as he caught the fruit and took a bite from it. "Mmm." he would then set it on the table before Lani.

"Yeah, that. Thanks Xi." he would give Lani's shoulders a squeeze. "It's nothing that can't wait a day or so." he would sit at the table beside Lani, expecting Xi to join them and then she sat on the ground. "Hey, uhh, Xi.. We got more chairs, yeah?" he'd then gesture to either the chair next to him or the one beside Lani.

The appearance of the blue Twi'lek was also... well, out of the blue. With her signature grin and a positively sleazy joke to boot. It was as if Ajan Kloss hadn't happened. The only differences were the Jedi robes and a seemingly healed scar. "Hey, Xi," the Zeltron replied a little awkwardly, still uncertain how talk to the Twi after the mess that Lani had created for them both. Do we just... play it cool? Yeah, I guess we're doing that.

Staring at the basket, Galania extended her palm and set her sights on a few berries. One of them would tingle before leaving the basket and heading straight for the Zeltron's open mouth. Just like old times, Galania. It was a strange feeling; mostly sweet, but also as if something was absent. Trying not to dwell on it, the Zeltron remained silent and just chewed the bliss in her mouth. A brief unintentional hum of appreciation followed, no matter how lousy the Zeltron felt about herself.

For the moment, she chose to remain silent.

Felix had heard a rumour that drastus was throwing a party of sorts for Lani, he knew it was probably true, he was that kind of guy. Though he didn't know if should go or not last time he saw him was on that day on Denon and he didn't know if seeing him would bring up bad... memories for both of them, things would probably be awkward.

Stepping out of the brush and into their "base". "Erh hi" he awkwardly blurted out, spoke from a doorway a smallish box between his hands.
"i brought cake" he followed up not know what to say exactly to the group or Drastus.

As Lani started to talk to Xi, he'd notice the arrival of the last person he expected: Felix. Drastus would quickly push to his feet and head around the table to the new arrival. He was well aware that it should be awkward, hell, he could barely look his fellow apprentice in the eye. He had been the one driving on Denon and had he not been trying to get to Max faster, maybe they would never had gotten hit by that unibomber. But at the same time, Drast knew he couldn't let that guilt eat at him. Its not what Max would have wanted, so he shed it.

Neeless to say, he approached Felix with a broad grin and a brisk powerwalk. "Felix! Hey!" He would take the cake from Felix with the Force and move it to the table before Lani. He was gonna need both hands for this. They both were. Drast didn't slow until he was a step away and both arms went wide as he pulled him into a hug. "I'm sorry.." he hoped Felix would understand that the apology was for everything. What had happened, the distance. All of it.

The Twi’lek lifted a piece of fruit and took a bite out of it as Felix approached the group, she smiled at him and then to Drast as he walked past her, “Yeah, but shumtimes da floor ish good enuf.” Her words were muffled from the mouthful of fruit. She grinned before swallowing the fruit and turned to Lani, “How are you doing, Lani? Enjoying having Drast at your beck and call?” Her smile was light, cracking a joke to try and keep her friends spirit up. Or at the very least prevent her from melting down in front of their new guest. Xiann took another large bite from the fruit causing some of the juices to spill onto her cheek, she quickly wiped them away with the back of her hand.

Alright, we're definitely playing it cool. It really did seem like the Twi held no grudge for the mess Lani had made. While the arrival of Felix, and the moment of regret that he shared with Drastus would clearly affect the Zeltron, she did manage to slip in a quiet cheeky reply to Xi. "You mean, as opposed to... Having Drast at my beck and call?" The joke was accompanied by a wry smirk, as Lani reached for a couple more berries, with her hand this time.

"I'm doing better than a month ago, that's for sure," she replied to her friend, before addressing Felix. "Hey, Felix," the Zeltron's cheerfulness was eroding a little already due to the surrounding emotions and her own burdens; but she still tried her best. Casting a quick glance at a cake before her, Galania added: "Thank you. Come, join us. The more, the merrier."
